is there a list of the engine sensor max and min voltages, what im intersted in is when i use datascan i obviously can test the outputs of the sensors but what i dont know is what they should be reading under certain conditions. would be good to have a list of the desired readings to determine wheater a sensor is faulty or not. cheers gaz

I've just had cam belt changed with all bearings, tensioner etc - got the car back Friday, took her out today for 1st time and total lack of power. :cursing: At idle when put foot on gas revs drop to virtually nothing and then rise, very little power through revs, the noise of the exhaust has increased a lot Just like idea of possible causes - timing? cambelt out on a pulley? :helpsmilie:

Ok to those in the know the 16 bit ecu presents problems when an owner wants to chip his zed that has a later car with a 16 bit ecu, mostly retrofitting an earlier ecu is the easiest course. However here how it is done using a 16 bit unit, the first couple of pics show a standard 16 bit ecu before modification the last showns the modified unit with a sister board added in, by interfacing via the board edge connector the second board can use duel 28 pin eproms. Simples:wink:

Ok we were was surprised to find a broken rear spring on a zed the other day but even more so that the springs are Eibachs, these are one of those names we all feel happy to trust, not sure if this was a failure due to manufacturer error or wear and tear, incidently the shock although old looking was perfectly servicable, Will be speaking to Eibach to see what they think, of course I have no idea how old they are or what mileage thay have done but really should not have broken.:( Jeff TT

  18. Started by murt,

Im not sure what this could be, but my car is smoking on idle at full temp, this is what its like even on a full run and i have been driving it for a few hours, any ideas? I hope its just something like PCV valves. And yes i know, it needs to be washed, but when the car lives on a farmyard most of the time, these things are going to happen. Sorry about quality, this was taken quite late at night If it says video is private, click this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch_private?v=P4hvQAwQnm8&sharing_token=imgwCw8dtg8tq8nVfX0Cdw

Can anybody help ? My steering when turning goes heavy light heavy and is NOT quick responsive. If turning out of a junction it can near pull me into oncoming traffic (thats if theres any) lol. It is pretty dangerous though. I have read a few threads on this but still do not know where to start.:helpsmilie:

  25. Started by GIBSTER-TT,

Ok ive been having a think about the air filter set-up and was wondering if anyone has done this or could find any problems with this idea. I was thinking of cutting down the pipework of the air filter system by just connecting silicon hose straight from the turbos to behind my bumper. I would then make air ducts direct to the cone filters for direct air feed. This would be alot better for air flow being practicly direct and alot less heat soak from the mile long standard pipework. Can anyone see any problems with this or should i just stick with the Doolz? Cheers Dan
