Just been give a n/a engine from a customer of mine, It has been sat in his shed for over 2 year. Long story for another day. Had little look over it tonight and looks seized. Any tips on getting it unseized! Thanks :thumbup1:

When i am out in my zed, im for a go with anything. Most of the time i get pesterd by crappy clio's, corsa's and other stuff. But this evening whilst out for a drive, a red Chrysler Crossfire, gets beside me at the lights. Starts revving it and waiting for the go. With no other cars about, i feel rude not to. On green off we go. but i can hear his engine screaming, im not even playing yet. he is behind me already, and i havent changed up yet. Then i go into 2nd, and when the turbos kick in, it is clearly game over, and his headlights become further and further away. The zed made it look so very easy, and whilst i grinned with a smug look. Hi, i have a nissan 300zx 1994 3litre non turbo, having really bad idle problems when started it fires upto 3k up and down. Tap on the throttle and goes to redline so isnt driveable ive located the icv sensor i disconnected the eletrical connection and stilll does the same thing, does this mean it is not the sensor ? checked for vacumn leaks etc had no joy before i start work on it i was wondering if there is any common faults thanks

well my 300zx plans are back on track Before xmas i took my red 300zx 2 + 2 tt auto of the road to do the following manual conversion engine refresh remove all rust repair rested out patch around rear light fit 99 spec front colour change to white or black interior refresh exhaust change well i stripped down the entire front of the car took the engine and box out and then found a rather bent chassis leg. looking into things it explains why the bumper never sat quite right and even why the tagas had rubbed a bit on the roof. after alot of pondering i decided repair was not going to be the best route along with the other jobs as it would be…

Hi Guys, I`m fitting my BC coilovers at the weekend, I have a small idea on what to do,but where do I start? any hints/tips for me along the way, do I need any special tools? or other parts before I start? Hi all I'm sure this has been covered numerous times, i was just wondering who are the best insurers for our cars, Lynbrooks wouldn't quote Heritage said no Aviva quoted £1300 i'm 49 1 claim (not my fault) 1 speeding (sp30) 2 years ncd, driveway, 6000 miles Fully comp All applications were for unmodified car, once quote is given i would then add the mods just to see the difference. However i went to confused.com and got this result, all were £700+ except the top one at £328. Insurance company is Performance Direct. so theres one to add to the list of decent quotes. Just to add, i was with the AA , usual quote was £300-£400 latest quote…

People having 18” wolfrace sharks (or deep dish wheels), have you had some troubles to clear some bigger brake rotors ? The trouble may come from the deep spokes. Typically the Dan DB 315mm kit using OEM calipers. This kit clears under my stock wheels with 15mm spacers.

Just checked my pads today as they have started to squeal and im near a change on the front so just wondered what everyone recommends. Did a search and couldnt find any anything. Was looking at the porterfield ones has anyone used these before? Marty

Is there any lists or links available to show ALL the parts required for a manual conversion kit?

What would the effects be on a Z if when you replaced the PCV valves with new ones and someone used some bog standard hose instead of the proper PCV one with the filters inside??!!

I have just had a call from the garage where the Z car is being put through the yearly scrutiny - it seems I have melted the front piston seals. Now I could get a seal kit or I could get a set of replacement calipers. I have the alimunium ones and I was looking for some help on if tthe steel ones are better or worse. I don't want to go for the big brake conversion as braided lines, castrol SRF and quality pads and rotors have always been fine - out-braked a bike with teh porterfield pads. Do the steel calipers make any difference other than being a bit heavier? Any help much appreciated as always. Ivan

Hi Guys, I changed my spoiler for the perspex strip the stop light fittings that came out of it have all got broken shoulders and i am one light fitting short (three in spoiler four in perspex) can these still be bought as new or do I need salvaged ones thanks

Just spotted this- seems quite interesting, can't picture how it'd look on the z though.

I'm gonna take my spoiler off today (OEM) and was wondering if anyone has ever smoothed it, and not fitted the perspex strip? I was thinking of making a led cluster for the brake light, what do you guys think it would look like? Just a thought....

Hi just after some advice on what maybe causing this noise. I ve had cylinder heads refurbed and turbos also rebuilt as car was smokey, these were done by specialished people. All dismantling and and refitting i have done myself with engine in car (crazy lol). With everthing carefully put back the engine started first time and with a few tweaks with the coil pack plugs where going great, oil pressure, temperture all ok. I been on a few test drives and has been running great, but now just started to develop knocking/Tappy noise only when reved up. Not had chance to seriously delve into it yet but am thinking timing/cam belt/ cam gears. Any ideas.
