I know lots of Zs don't really see the roads this time of year, and others are in daily use. But what are you doing to yours right now, what are you fitting next etc etc? Come on get typing  For me, tomorrow, I'll be taking the front bumper off and fitting my ARC intercoolers, fitting a splitter to the bumper before it goes back on, then fitting a few interior gadgets in the shape of an Apexi RSM and SAFC

OK..... Let me tell you my brake story.... I have replaced my calipers with original Z1 refurbed one's, got relocating brkt's, 350Z discs (brembo set-up), and yellow pads. Now.... i have warped 3 disc's in 12 months, braking from 160+ down to 100-70mph in one hit. Now i am looking to get the D2/K-sport set-up for my front rotors, but..........am i gonna pay £800-£1200 worth of disc/caliper/pad set-up and get to that speed again, brake hard, then.....BANG!!! All that money gone, discs warped due to, too much heat, bad disc,etc.... Has anyone here got the big brake set-up, and got to these speeds and put the pedal to the floor, and the discs survived? I just…

I have asked a similar question before, but didn't get a definative answer, as i think i made it far too unspecific.... Shortened version.... If I leave the EGR solenoid unplugged, but the EGR system is still installed, will it effect the running of the car? Cheers... Tude.

Help meeeeeeeee I can't open my boot! The cable still has adequate tension to release it, and pops off the petrol cap.. well it would if the cap had pins keeping it in place :whistling: Anyhoo the boot wont release, also I've tried the three keys in the rear barrel but it seems corroded and wont budge  Any other methods or cracking the nut?

Just found a bloody great hole on the rear of my swb, its on the lower part of the sil behind the door just infront of the wheel, where body panel curves under the car. Sorry i know naf description, anyway my question can this panel be bought or do i just get the body shop to patch it before fitting the bodykit and respray? Ive just covered it in a bit of black duct tape for now to hide it. Id get a pic but the duct tape will just pull all the paint off now. Cheers Craig

Can someone recomend a good cat 1 alarm and fitter. Fitted prices are different all over the place. Supplier have been saying you have to get it fitted properly but surely if they are approved then it is properly. Some options would be nice. Thanks.

Hi- Can anyone advise me on this. I'v been looking at the turbos from underneath the car, The exhaust housing has Garrett cast into it with 5 bolt elbows, the compressor has HKS cast into it. (I think i read somewhere that HKS don't actually manufacture turbos but that they modify or alter mainstream manufacturers products, hence both brands) I am trying to identify what model no. of HKS turbo I am looking at. There is a label plate but the script is tiny and very difficult to read with a torch and mirror! Is there any easy way to identify these? Thanks

hello people im new to the 300zx ownership and had a bit of a bad start, iv brought a uk spec tt with manual conversion done and alwas well for a few days untill engine started to knock witch turned out to be bottem end so done and engine swap (found a low miliage lump for 600).when we done the engine swap we noticed that the clutch was on it way out so we thought it was ok when we took it out so itll be ok for alittle longer untill we took it out for its first drive. when on boost or changing gears fast it would grind like the clutch was not fully engaged but if you change gears slowly its fine. so i thought i would just bite the bullet and put a new clutch in as iv done…

When i am out in my zed, im for a go with anything. Most of the time i get pesterd by crappy clio's, corsa's and other stuff. But this evening whilst out for a drive, a red Chrysler Crossfire, gets beside me at the lights. Starts revving it and waiting for the go. With no other cars about, i feel rude not to. On green off we go. but i can hear his engine screaming, im not even playing yet. he is behind me already, and i havent changed up yet. Then i go into 2nd, and when the turbos kick in, it is clearly game over, and his headlights become further and further away. The zed made it look so very easy, and whilst i grinned with a smug look. Had to slow down, to enj…

well my 300zx plans are back on track Before xmas i took my red 300zx 2 + 2 tt auto of the road to do the following manual conversion engine refresh remove all rust repair rested out patch around rear light fit 99 spec front colour change to white or black interior refresh exhaust change well i stripped down the entire front of the car took the engine and box out and then found a rather bent chassis leg. looking into things it explains why the bumper never sat quite right and even why the tagas had rubbed a bit on the roof. after alot of pondering i decided repair was not going to be the best route along with the other jobs as it would be…
