Ellow, me again, I stumbled across some extra gogogo, changing one thing at a time on the EBC. The gain setting made the difference, will it cause any probs by turning it up and leaving it there? It was set at 5, I adjusted it to 20, gives a good neck workout.

  3. Hi Guys, I desperately need a good quality HID conversion for my dipped beams. I do a lot of night driving and right now I may as well have some guy sat on my bonnet holding a candle - my stock lights are CRAP!!! I have a '92 TT JDM LWB so which lights would you recommend? What is the difference between the standard and the Bi-Xenon models (two bulbs at a guess?). I don't want a fancy tint so was going to go for a 6000k kit (would that be right?) What does the H3, H7 etc signify? I also want quick start up and reasonably low power consumption - but it is the light quality and beam depth that is the most important to me. I was thinking a 55W Premium Bi…

I get asked many times about what the tyre pressure`s should be, now with many zeds running non standard wheels sizes, you need to calculate for each individual tyre/car (zed) combination, follow my guide below and you should be ok. So we know tyre pressures can have a dramatic effect on how your zed steers, gets the power down and reaction to suspension movement, so its very important to get right. 1)So take the max. rated weight and pressure from the tyre wall. It will say something like ????lbs at 50 psi. 2)Then take your zed weight (users manual figure), assume equal weight on all four tyres. 3)With a bit of maths you can work out the % weight y…

The rolling shell of my zed was taken away today to be re painted, we took everything out the engine bay and they are taking all the windows out and doors and boot off to do a top class job. I am having it done here http://www.banburys.net/ (have a look in the gallery my old ferrari is in there !! mellow yellow). They also did my Porsche and there work is absolutely stunning. Anyhows I want to go for a bright white again as it looks lush IMO and im getting airbrushing done under the hood but I want a really nice pearly one. The one on there you could hardly notice at all, anyone got any suggestions?.

I've polished the engine up a few times now and usually use Gunk engine lacquer to inhibit tarnishing. Stays good for about 4-5 months before i have to sand off the lacquer, repolish and relacquer. Thing is the lacquer makes it go from mirrored finish to matt, stills looks good but was wondering if there's anything better i could use to keep it looking spangley?

Hi Guys, I am upgrading my head unit so I need to pick some higher wattage replacement speakers for throughout the car. I am not looking for some fancy install - just to replace the stock cans with better ones that will fit in all the same spots. Don't want the time and hassle of building enclosures or screwing with the interior. Can some one tell me what size all the current stock speakers in a JDM Series 2 LWB would be and am I right in saying there are just 4 speakers to replace ( 2 either side of the boot space and 2 more in the door cards) or are there some more tucked away somewhere?? Any info would be greatly received - especially if anyone knows the…

Hi everyone, as the title suggests I have a little problem with my indicators and kerb lights. Any help is very much appreciated! I have a Series 2 Jap import with fogs and sidelights at the front, and indicators and kerb lights on the corners. I have fitted a 6500K HID kit and have been upgrading the rest of my bulbs in order to update the look of the car. I've gone for LED sidelights and side repeaters, and Xenon bulbs for the main beam and fog lights. I've also decided remove the orange balloon thing (couldn't think of the word) and fit LED bulbs in my indicators and kerb lights,. and this is where the problem is... The indicators flash too fast, which w…

  25. ... As per the title... Did this today with my old lower plenum as a test.. If your EGR has been deleted - why keep the bracket as it the bracket that prevents you getting access to the Knock Sensor! I forgot to take a 'befor' picture but this is the lower plenum mocked up with the bracket positioned approx before it is removed. Its upside down in that pick which also does not help - but here is the pic with the bracket deleted. And now the right way up... And back on the engine... Hope that helps - what do you guys think? Worthwhile or not? Andy :headvswal:rolleyes:
