Now that I've driven the car with the HIDs, I'm sure I'm dazzling some drivers, and not for the right reasons! The lights are great and definitely very powerful, but is there a thread on here detailing exactly how to adjust headlights? I've had a trawl but can't seem to find anything. Photos would be a bonus.

I have been looking at these for a while, and wondering if anyone in the U.K has ever bothered to make any? when I say 'Any' I mean DECENT attempts, nothing with a strip light stuck inside the tail light housing lol.. The only thing that puts me off rushing out and buying some is A) the cost and B) I might be being picky, but I wish the leds went round the edges of the light cluster a bit better rather than having a flat lit edge... if that makes sense.. Has anyone ever made any on the forum?.. or know of anywhere locally, where I could enquire about some? Any help appreciated CheerZ

The car hasn't been started in over 6 months, I don't intend on starting it for another 3-4 months yet.. but I would like to know are there any precautions or things I should do before I do decide to move it out of the garage... I assume the oil now is all in the sump and the engine would be completely drip dry.. what is the best thing to do before I do decide to start it?.. Oil change?.. Any advice appreciated! Andre

About 2 days ago there was an unusual "rattling" noise coming from the engine bay, however before i was able to investigate it has now gone. But the engine has lost its v6 grumble, sounds much higher pitched and like a ford fiesta :headvswal Doesnt seem to be any change in performance. But it is a really really loud and annoying noise. Its like a whinning noise which directly matches the revs of the engine and listening under the bonnet sounds like its coming from the engine block :-S. Any ideas?

  6. Just installed both HID lights and new LED side lights. Will post full detailed instructions later with photos but for now, the questions is, are the HIDs supposed to flicker? If yes, for how long, what causes it and how often does this happen? I say this because mine are flickering now and then!

It's been a while since I've been here so hello everyone. Missing my Z. Owned a 1996 Camaro z28 for 2 years and its no where near as good :( Anyways, I need to submit my immobiliser details to my insurance company. Bob did it for me, I'm sure some of you know him. The problem is that his webpage is no longer there and I need his address I have found this on google: Unit, Evans Easyspace, Deeside Industrial Park, Deeside, CH5 2JZ Is that the place? If so, any idea which unit it was? I don't need to contact him though I just need that address from Chester. Thanks in advance for the help, Al

Hey people just trying to get an idea of what people have done about changing their pedals if so at all. Im quite keen on getting a sparco set on there but looking at it they would have to be drilled to mount onto the original pedals for the manual. Ive seen the ones zcentre do too but not sure if these are just clip on covers. Any ideas??? Marty

My HID kit from DTA arrived today (thanks Dan) and assuming it's dry tomorrow, I'll be fitting it. The instructions look OK but pics would have been nice. I'll definitely be taking some tomorrow. Question : Where is the best place to put the ballasts and what should they be secured with?

Hi guys, having a problem with my TT zed :( Today the battery, anti-lock & lights dash lights came on mid journey and now will not disappear. Lost power steering as well but has now returned. Recently fitted HID kit (about a week ago) Tried disconnecting the battery and have checked all fuses under the bonnet but no change. Engine runs and sounds fine, any suggestions on what to check would be appreciated!

Hi, Had the Zed MOT'd yesterday, passed, no probs.. I get on really well with the guy and asked if i could look under the car when he was finished, no prob he said, showed me how the ramp went up and down and left me to it while he filled out my forms. So i take this opportunity to whip out my handycam and video the underside, the one area i really wanted was the AC comp, but there was a lot of floor panels there, never mind, what i did find was where the floor pans ended under the engine area, was what looked like 3/4" chipboard rotting away?? was i seeing things or is there definitely something there?? Here's a still from the vid.

Well guys i am now thinking very seriously about my situation and with the cash ive lost on top of the cash to repair its just not justified to be honest sooooooo i think i want to break the car. At the moment dont have anywhere to store it unless if gets broken at zedworld. Think after this i will not be buying another zx neither and will go for the e46 m3 that i have been wanting for some time now so that i can have a more reliable car and enjoy motoring for the short spell. Cant explain how hard this is to say but im pritty sure there must be a few K in parts on the car from the bodykit-wheels-flywheel-exhaust-suspension-interior, never mind all the goodies i…
