I have been driving the Zed for a month now and after my last visit for a conzult @ Zedworld we found thet the thermostat is jammed open the engine is running too cold and is spending most of the time in safety mode. I'm up to Zedworld on Thursday to get is sorted and i'm also having an ECU upgrade. my questions are as follows: How much of a difference is there between safe boost mode and normal mode (ie performance difference) and secondly how much of a difference will the ECU upgrade make? (Jeff reckons about 70bhp) but what will this equate to on the road? Thanks for your help people.

I’m looking in the near future for a manual tt, just trying to find as much information out as possible before the right one comes along. I have noticed some of them don’t come with leather, and wonder how universal the seat are to swop over between the models, does the seat belt move between s1 and 2 cause any problems or are the electrics different? Thanks for the info.

as you know we have just bought the grey zed and now it`s started making a noise what dad thinks is the big ends, because really loving the car bought it hoping it would stay trouble free and wouldn`t have to spend money on it till we were back on our feet, me and dad are gutted:shock: Dad belives the job can be done while engine still in, can anyone advise on a link to doing the job and where the needed parts could be purchased and what sort of money it would cost. any info really appreciated , Thanks:cry:

Hi peeps, as above has anybody fitted the 2fast decat pipe kit to a manual turbo with the engine in? My mechanic seems to think there`s an issue with regard to removing the old downpipes, i.e hitting the footwell n getting stuck making the change a complete nightmare.

I will be doing a update shortly of what happened, but i have my car back in a complete mess and most of the parts NOT ALL PARTS. I may be selling my parts, the majority will be for sale. Majority of parts are brand new. Everything down to Other supplied parts were what i was intending on running as my spec, other supplied parts are bits i was going to use after changing the spec slightly. I am considering selling the entire lot or... Selling the majority of parts. only keeping a few items. highly likely i have missed some bits off. Ok I've tried the grease in the hole and a hammer with a tight fitting metal bar, no go. Tried the hacksaw blade technique, and it wont even bite into it. how the hell do you get this damn thing to shift, btw its the auto bushing im on about here, not that tiny little coppery thing for the manual. JEFFFFFTTTTT HEEEELLLPPP MEEEE lol Does anyone do a tool for the removal and if so where can one purchase it as google has come up blank? this is the only thing stopping me from completing the engine swap as im not sure i can even put the gear box back on with the auto one in place, and even if i did put the gear box back on, im not even sure what role this b…

Hi guys, Already read the how-to guides on here so no drama there, however I'm a little apprehensive to be honest. But the job needs doing so going for it LOL. Is there anything that might/will break or will need replacing? I'm putting new rocker cover gaskets on. I have a new plenum gasket to go on and will do spark plugs at the same time. Any hints and tips will be most welcome. Cheers all, Rob
