Finally got round to fitting mine yesterday. Thanks to Dan of DTA for his professional and friendly service and advice, as well as a very quick turnaround. Enjoy your holiday! Below are detailed instructions with photos and I hope that they are useful. In summary, very happy with the performance of the new lights although I think I have some adjustments to make! There is a slight flicker for the first 10 secs but then the lights settle down. I will discuss this with Dan when he returns. I also fitted some matching LEDs for the side lights which are covered under a separate thread I posted yesterday. I found the most difficult part of the installat…

Hi i just want to double check that the water feeds and returns are fitted correctly? Thanks to Gonzo12c for finding me some spare water pipes  Have i connected the right lines up in this pic or does it not matter which way they go? Will having the oil line close to the down pipe cause any problems? Also will i need special high temp bolts for the down pipe? Cheers Dan

After nearly a week of changing coil packs, airflow meters, ptu`s, ecu`s around on my TT, I realised the only thing i havent done is to change the spark plugs which are only 12 months old and are ngk-r platinums, i have cleaned them twice and set the gaps correctly. So today i swapped the offending number 2 spark plug and hey presto thats all it was!! what a :xxx: i am? So big lesson, check the sparkys first!!! DaZ

I intend to turn the boost up a bit on my car, but I am not sure whether the ECU is chipped or not... the car has no stock boost solenoids, so I assume that one of the previous owners removed them and ran it using an EBC. Ive opened it up and taken some pics. Any help would be appreciated

Right... This is what it has come to. Do i go ahead with a engine swap? Or do i go with a Honda NSX? Engine swap: Had my 300 about 6 years now, i have some nice parts which i will be using, Bride Gias carbon seats, takata harnesses, Defi gauges, Quaife diff etc. etc. Because of this whole garage saga i dont want them to get the better of me and try to turn the car into something special and unique. I think for myself i need to get it done. There are several engine i could consider RB30, LS1, Nissan V8, V12 from a BMW 850I csi, i'm sure there are other engines i could consider. I think the 300zx will be faster than what ever i do to the NSX. I also lik…

Before my engine died on me, i got the chance to drive it. Where is the clutch supposed to engage on these cars? mine clutch was either off, or fully engaged, there didn't seem to be any room to slowly let the clutch out. do i need to bleed it you think? Also one of my track rod arm gaiters is split would this be a MOT failure?

Right, lets say you will be shocked with this one!! The worst get even worse. Things got messy!!! So couple of weeks we went down to pick my car and parts up. Took about 3 hours to get there then a further about 3 hours to load the van up of parts. We totally filled a big Transit van full of my parts. All was good up until this point. Through out the duration they kept making comments saying i was a fool and left the car for them to finish trying to make me feel bad. They had it for over a year and a half and the engine was out the car and still totally in bits. Sod all had been done. Anyway... So the car was loaded on to a trailer, mos…

When I took out my old bulbs today to replace them with HIDs, I noticed that they were painted blue. Looking on the net, it seems that they too were filled with Xenon. That's probably why the light was whiteish! They were made by Bosch. What do you know about these, and how good are they? I have to say that although the HIDs are the real deal, my previous bulbs were not bad either and the light was white rather than yellow. Visibility was also good, and not what everyone else complains about.

Always something goes wrong when you want to take advantage of the weather. Ive got a spark but no fire in one of the cylinders (the most awkward one to get to). Injector is clicking away fine, coil pack is good, correct voltage at the plug. Is there away of checking that the fuel is being delivered or could it be something else? Cheers, Tony

Taking the advice of Dan of DTA, I decided to replace my existing sidelight bulbs with LEDs to match the HIDs. Definitely a good mod and relatively simple. Below are instructions with photos and I hope that they are useful. Thanks to turbocraigy for his advice. --------------------------------------------------- 1. To get to the side light (which is actually at the front, integrated with the fog lamp), you first need to remove the indicators which are on the side! 2. Remove the 2 screws on the right hand side of the light. 3. Next, pull out the light and leave it hanging. 51263[/AT…
