Woohoo, so picked up my first Z32 in 10 years this weekend, done about 150 miles and already the heaters gone cold with bubbling matrix when the ignition goes off. Went to burp the coolant today and the radiator just sucks dry by a 3rd every 3 minutes. So I take a peak underneath - drips pissing out from all over the shop underneath the engine. Now there's no white steam coming out the exhaust, and rad cap is clean so I'm hoping it's nothing more than a few buggered hoses. I've read about the coolant bypass mod so I plan on doing that this weekend - anywhere I can buy a full compliment of silicone or new rubber coolant hoses to nip this in the bud?

Hello the Forum, time to get excited and plan big things. I've been building my car in my head for years, sometimes I do it in real life too, but now it's time to plan the next step. I have bought a house! With a bloody enormous garage 5.23m x 5.26m. I am going to compliment my house with 1x fridge, 1x sofa, 1x bed, 1x broadband router and an engine hoist  I think it was Joely P who referenced an American tuning study that showed how good a zed can be with stock turbos and better pipework. That is basically where my car is now. I want the fittest 500bhp in the country. From 3000rpm to the red line. My car is a bit like that now but with …

Im thinking of selling the zed..... but to build another one. Basically I want to build a fairly lary zed and looking at the TwinZ wide arch kit etc. My current zed is sooooooo nicely done i don't think i can actually do what i want to this one as its such a nice example as is. I bought it to use as a good base however I think its actually too good to cut up for a wide arch conversion. My predicament: Take this zed and build it how i want it or sell and go down the SWB route that i was originally looking for, for a big build. I welcome your thoughts on this as im torn.

Hi All, I swapped my 92 JDM spec indicator lenses for some that have a sidelight& indicator present a while ago (at the time I thought they were UK spec but I know better know!) So basically took the feed from the sidelight in the foglamps and rerouted to the new sidelights next to the indicators 'cos I think lights on the corner of a car look better than in where the fog lamps are. Anyway long story short I now need to replace my RHS one as it got smashed in a little incident my friend had whilst driving on track. I am struggling to find a replacement. Which Z did these come on as standard? Are they Series3+? Help much appreciated!!

My Z32 is currently being fettled by my 'Z experienced mechanic' a former owner of these cars. My Zed has been laid-up since 2010 - only done approx 60k miles. He has Mot'd the car - and fitted a new injector ( see my other thread). When I suggested a cambelt change he said no need as it has a non-interference engine. After some googling etc I feel uneasy at this suggestion. Comments please!

Hi guys, Well i'm sure some of you remember some of my frantic attempts to get some readings off a std injector (cica 1989/1990) but i have another question, i know what they read if they are working correctly and i know what they read when they are dead, but which is best....fi no no to much harry hill, now my question is what state are they in if they read 140 and dropping.... i will say that this injector is still working. Thanks Rich

Not posted for a long time, fell out of love with the Z after I was having a few issues with her, anyway I have found new interest in her and want to sort them out, first thing I want to do is change the timing belt and tensioner, as after reading one of Jefftt's old posts the symptom's where the same as he described for a failed belt tensioner, so I stripped the front of the engine to find that the belt had no tension on it, Thank you Jeff for that post, you may have save my engine from terminal damage. Second I would like to sort the starter ring gear out as it has some damage to the teeth and I get that hideous screeching noise that turns everyone's head towards you …

I'm after a genuine Apexi air filter, does anyone know where the best place to buy one is in the UK? There's loads on eBay but I'm assuming most are fakes as they are mainly coming from China. I'm not wanting to spend ridiculous money on one, but not I'm not sure how much they usually go for either with all the fittings etc.

Well i got the veilside exhaust i bought off Dan fitted at Keltech and had them fit my new 3" ams divorced downpipes as well as custom make the decat pipes to connect the whole lot up. They stripped off my old mongoose system and fitted the new stuff and afterwards i drove the car as a daily for a couple of weeks. I knew the system was louder than the Veilside Evo system on zebedee but didnt realise how much louder till i drove zeb to work last week. Well the explosion system is waaaaay louder although not as bad as i thought it would be. Its got an awesome note and you can hear the turbos spooling nicely too. All in all i like it a lot even if my neighbours dont.......ah…

Morning all I trying to get some clarification on what mods to buy as ive been reading some very mixed opinions online. Im looking to take my stock TT to a reliable 400-450bhp. I have a few parts ready to go on the car already / Full polybushed NA rear end and Nistune ECU. I have however been told by some that all i will need is 750 injectors and a boost controller. Then by others that ill need bigger turbos and intercoolers, larger fuel pump etc etc. Could anyone please clarify what is actually a recommended set up. Thanks all in advance.

Well after being laid up for a few days with some kind of super man flu  I've just taken the zed out for a few miles to see what was what. Drove lovely, seems quite lumpy and hesitant for a couple of minutes and then all is well. One thing which did concern me slightly was the temp gauge slowly rising and it did go all the way up. I turned the hot air on and it only blew cold for a couple of minutes, then it got hot and the temp gauge dropped back to normal and remained normal after I turned the blowers off. Almost as if there was a blockage in the cooling system perhaps? Speedo doesn't work. And then there's the advisory notices from the mot Nearside Front…
