Had an issue a while ago with my injectors dying, so managed to replace them with help from some very helpful/ generous members (thanks again!). Anyway this is what greeted me the first time round, which i assumed was due to overfuelling and the unspent fuel being recycled as it were into the plenum..thing is it`s STILL like it, not as bad but none the less. One of the injectors had shed 2/3rds of its cap and i`m now starting to wonder if one of the valves has been damaged at all. Removed sparks, none are covered in oil or owt so assume rings are ok. I`m resealing the rockers as the half moons and fronts seem to be leaking hence the plenum being off again. I also se…

Just fitted an after market led plasma tachometer but having a problem with the data. Powers up fine and does a self test but no signal from pin number 7 from the ECU which should be the tach signal. Also tested the signal wire with a multimeter and measures only in mA. Any advice lads?

Just wondered after looking at the average zed owner tread, It seems that quite and few of you guys own more than one Zed. Now i understand 1 might be for parts or a donor but why do some of you own 3-4 Zeds? and some of which seems the same spec i.e 3 N/As etc. i dont get it. and as for the donor thing surely its more convenient to just buy the part needed as the spare car your breaking is never likely to have all bits working anyways? share your views

right after a few days of fighting it again... i got the cylinder head off, and it dont look good, i was expecting there to be oil in the cylinder, due to either blow valve piston ring, or turbo... and there nothing like that help # the cylinder on the left is the one thats not firing, i dont know what it meens but compared with the good 2, its dryer, and generally more brown, looks almost burnt i dont know what it means, but there no oil in there? so can it be piston rings or valves?, im very confused...

I'm not a regular contributor but need to say what an excellent job I had done recently at Zedword and I'm probably repeating what a lot of you know anyway. I had a good local (old boy) garage that sold up and had to start using one in town with the best reputation. 2 years and some considerable cost later I took all the car's little niggles that no one seemed able to fix to Zewword. They changed all the brakes back and front, fixed a petrol leak that has been slowly poisoning me for the last year, fixed a stalling problem that has been driving barmy for at least 18 month and tuned and serviced the car within budget and spotted a couple of other disasters performed by…

Don't want to repeat previous discussions on this, but have read all of the posts on the subject and would be grateful for some answers to the following questions: - I currently have a NA Manual; - Always used standard supermarket fuel; - no issues with performance. If I decide to use V-Power: - will it make any difference and if yes, how long will it take for me to notice anything, i.e. instant or after 1-2 tankfuls? - how big a difference is it likely to make? - Is there any benefit is waiting until my current tank is empty or will a 50% mix be useful? Thanks.

Collecting Zed from the garage tommorow but it still has eratic temperature issues, any ideas what might cause this? I am going to change the water pump (that and the Alternator are original to the old zed engine). It has a Nizmo low temp thermostat in and has a 56mm Rad. And a zirgo 3000 cfm fan. Apparantly they said it will run at a normal temp then jump right up and come down again? They did say that they have had a hard time bleeding the water system as well so im hoping it could be as simple as an air lock? Any help would be appreciated, how can I trace the problem?

If you don't mind that is. I'm admiring the look of the wheels you have on your car in your signature. The one thing I don't like on my buggy is that the wheels/tyres don't fill the arches properly so I'm considering a new set of feet. Yours is just about bob on in my eyes so can you tell me what dimensions your combo is please? Wheels - Diameter/width/offset Tyres - Width/wall depth. As always, thanks in advance.
