Hi all, Im in need of some wiring help? After finding the car alarm a complete mess under my dash i started to tidy up what i could to make it look alot neater so i could find it easier to wire up my extra guages and lcd dash. Can i still use the same earth points the alarm use to earth my guages? Also the alarm ignition live fuse has been soldered in so close to the barrel i cant solder any thing else to it to feed the dash and guages. Im guessing taking the live off the alarm wont be a good idea can anyone tell me where else i can take the ignition live from? Thanks Dan

It's taken to staying on after the car's been left for a while, say overnight, once the car's started. It goes off after a little while or after turning the wheel lock to lock and seems to behave itself after that. Cause for concern or not?

Yes we'd all love HKS GT2530's etc. but given the price it's a no-no. Second hand GTiR / S15 turbo's are often within reach (though sourcing a pair takes a while). Are these any cop and do they fit without modification? Currently running 14psi on stock turbo's and bored already :tt2:

Anyone got any pics of the fog light ducts installed on a regualr TT front bumper? I'm thinking of slightly modifying the stock bumper and doing away with the fogs and putting LED sidelights in the duct holes. Peter

HI All, Ok, here's the problem. I had my front bumper, door, rear quarter panel and boot all resprayed a few month ago. Now when i took it to the bodyshop for an estimate they said that even though they would paint them all in the same way the front nose would never be a perfect match because it is plastic. Now sure enough, they painted all the parts needed and the bumper did look a different shade. I've used the same bodyshop for 12 years now and they've always been spot on with everything. Is there any reason this would happen? also, i'm looking to get my front and rear bumpers both painted again in the near future and wondered if there is …

in a bit of a dillema: When removing the injector connectors to replace with new ones I noticed the following: There is one thick and one slightly thinner wire leading into the injector connectors. Looking at the connector with the semi circle cut out facing you the thicker of the two wires leads into the right hand side of the connector. On the new connectors I have there is also one thicker and one slightly thinner cable, problem is if I connect the thick wires together and the thin ones together the thick wire enters the left hand side of the connector instead of the Right hand side. Doesn´t it matter which way around the injector is poled or …

Hi all. I recently bought one of these on fleabay:- The seller said it had been used ONCE, but even at 90psi it doesn't feel that powerful and I can slow it down quite easily. Has anyone else got one of these and if so, are they just not generally very powerful or should it maintain 2500rpm at any loading? Thanks, Dave

Thinking of buying a 300zx with coilovers, however have heard they can give a really hard ride. Is there anyway I can change the springs to give a softer ride, will this be compatible with the damping even if adjusted to softest setting?

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm 27, no claims or convictions, had license for 7 years, did have 2 years no claims, but worked away on cruise ships, and if ya don't insure a car for 2 years, you lose your no claims, arse holes... Anyways, just rang adrian flux as I saw them on the banner up top, and they wont go near me with no no claims, or if they did it would be around four grand... Car is a 92' TT LWB import, no mods, any suggestions guys??? I've spent 3 years restoring her to her former glory, and don't fancy this kick in the nuts really...

You can never get bored with Zed engines that's for sure, with the right hand cambelt cover removed on this one it looked like an oil tanker had dropped its cargo off in there! seen this many times but not with no evidence of the leak before the cover was removed. More dismantling and it gets no better!! The inside of the plastic covers where dripping! So a strip down to check out the cam seals was in order. The pulleys, tensioner, sprockets etc. all removed for degreasing All cleaned and refitted sorted it out The cambelt was in very poor condition ( old ) and the oil has made it feel really odd, it looked set to l…

I thought I would take some time out from fixing the Z and write up a 'How to' or rather, how I retrimed my cockpit panels and the materials I used. Firstly I attempted the panels in a quality leather, for me this was a BIG NO NO, it looked like I had wrapped the panels up in Bruce Forsyths skin, there were creases every where but the places they were meant to be. Lucky for me I was given the material. I then decided on a visit to a local Fent shop, and after pushing past the OAP's with their latest knitting paterns, I made it to the counter. Lucky for me there was a Gent there who had built his own kit car and gave me some great advice...........'If you haven'…

Hey guys While replacing No2 injector I dropped one of the screws from the cap into the engine bay . I think it may have rolled into the back part of the cambelt cover. Is it now time to panic and take everything apart on a quest to try and find the bolt ? Or is it more likely that it will not cause any damage and just "drop" somewhere. Cheers Maz
