General Discussions - 300ZX Related

Hi folks, Has anyone had to tackle anything like this? I found this horror story hidden underneath a centimetre of body filler, Gutted! I cant find any repair kits,i'm considering just rebuilding it myself with some sheet steel. If anybody has done this repair before,do you have any pointers on the job? Many thanks Foole

hi all another small problem ive been using my z for long journeys and recently it has been losing a bit of powerm but then it will be fine. almost like it misfires similar to that but i dont think it is any ideas??

If I remove the fuel pump fuse/relay thing in the small fuse box on the drivers side under the bonnet, the engine should stop am I correct? Or have I removed the wrong thing?

just a quicky has anyone got a write up for instaling an oil cooler for the auto box. the common upgrade for jap autos. i just had a quick reccy and didnt find anything like what i was expectig to find

Hi Got k sport set up on the front that makes the back look a bit weedy Got 18's on her at the mo just wondered if there is any cheap conversion that will look better.ie maybe a larger fancier disc with a bracket to move the calliper out a bit ??? or possibly a larger set up fm another nissan with a bigger calliper that will bolt straight on ? thks Kurt

Last minute as ever but here goes - I think i'm going to get my wheels painted either tomorrow or sunday (got a slot to get them done!) Anyway I dont know what colour to have them done so can we have some suggestions? I was thinking Bronze, but I have had shadow chrome recommended to me a few times. Also, as I'm totally useless with photoshop could someone please help by painting the wheels on the picture good colours so I can choose! Cheers guys! (Not sure which is the best to go from, I dont seem to have a proper side on picture of the car, only my stupid 3/4 ones! LOL)

As title really, i dont know if its just bonded to the boot lid with a couple of bolts either side or if i need to take the inside boot lining out to get to more bolts. I hope its just bonded, i dont want holes in my boot. Thanks Mark

Just back from the MOT station, failed on the two outside ball joints on the Hicas. Ordered these from MJP complete with washers and seals. However I have an advisory on the front steering rack, as there is oil leaking from the gaiters. I am informed that this is probably the seals. do I renew the seals or exchange rack ? Any help most welcome

Weather looks good this weekend...in France anyway. Haven't taken the Z overseas this year. But fancied it this weekend. Might be the last weekend of decent weather for a while as it's pretty changeable right now. So, driving off to Portsmouth later with an impromptu stop at Madmax's, before taking the overnight ferry to St.Malo. Arrive tomorrow morning around 8.30am, then a nice drive through the Normandy countryside to LeMans to see a friend of mine, will hang out and have dinner with him and his girlfriend, few bars in the evening, then around midday Sunday, take the drive up to Caen and onward to Quistreham to catch the PM ferry back to Portsmouth. Anybody else bought the LED conversion reverse/fog lights from zedwizz and the reverse lights dim slightly in sync with the beeper?

Right my car fookin stinks and its not because im sat in it (daz or baz) :lol::lol: would over fueling cause the car to stink of petrol. I have always had a wiff (always run rich) but now the new injectors are in it really does wiff. You cannot smell it on the move only on tick over and when the engine is just switched off. 1st thing in the morning i cannot smell any thing but it takes about 7 carnks for it to fire where as it only took one before Also i get the odd blip every now and again if i floor it so i guess thats to do with over fueling to?? Reet, my car is over fuelling, had it on shareware conzult today, and, the left one reads 0.02/0.03v. If i unplug the left one, it reads a constant 0.33v, plug it back in, 0.02/0.03. The right hand one reads 0.06, if i unplug it, nothing changes, what should they be reading? neither of them change at all when revving the engine....
