Hello folks! As some of you knows, I want to buy a Z I had one before but I can't tell anything about it as I had it for a very short time. My Q is, which one will be better for me, n/a or TT? I need a car that is reliable and reasonably cheap in maintenance as I'm 20yrs old and my sallary is around 1200/1400 per month. I'm saving around 6oo/65o/7oo quid every month. Don't talk about insurance as I know it's mega expensive that's why It will be insured for my parent, How much do you spend for your Z every month ? [stock car, without mods] Sorry for my English guys, It's not perfect but I hope you understand what I mean, thanks Thanks…

Its a 1990 manual twin turbo. i get a little noise in 2nd and 4th, it sounds like its wearing somthing in the box. just had the box out to replace the clutch so not looking foreward to doing it again. i didn't notice the noise at first because there was a horrible whirring sound from the fan on the interiour light, after changing the clutch and sorting out the fan noise i then discovered the gear box noise. its not to loud, but very distinktive in 2nd and 4th only. gear box oil was topped up when the clutch was changed so i don't think its that. any help would be greatly appriceated. Chears Steve

I am in the middle of blanking off my recircs, and on the drivers side theres a bit of oil in the pipework either side of the recirc. Does this indicate anything? I've done a search but cant find anything! :helpsmilie: Also, is this the sort of thing I need to blank them off?

Well I have been busy on and off in the last couple of days. Not needed the car so I set about removing the headlights :glare: Not too bad a job, just the inner rear bolt one ratchet at a time!!! Wife actually helped me with her small hands, although she takes great delight in showing me her cuts!!! Luckily, if I can call it that  the passenger side one was missing, just a 6mm bolt dropped in from the top to make it look like there was one in - result!!! Heated up the gunge and got the glass off, someone as had them off before so it was not too bad. :sweatdrop: So many jobs can be done whilst they are out, I knew some of the adjusters were broke…

Just noticed these. They appear to have been hit by the electric fan blades. I think it's been like this for some time. Everything is working perfectly though, so I am at a loss as to what they are for.

I put a 3G big brake kit conversion on my car a while back. I now need new rotors (or full disks) for them. I can't seem to get any response from 3G and I don't know if they're still trading. Does anyone know where I could get some from or whether any other disks will fit this kit? I'm reluctant to purchase a completely different big brake kit from another manufacturer. Ta

Before i ring my 'mechanic'... Does this sound like steering rack failure or could it be something else? Was at Le Mans last week and the old girl has developed a whining noise which became louder when using the steering... When parked up i also noticed a loss of fluid, (after using air conn) which was not coolant, and the noise became more noticable after that. The steering is no prob on long straight roads, french and uk m'ways, but the steering tightens up on slow tighter corners, esp turning left. :confused1: Obviousley i'm not driving it right now i'm back in the uk... :whistling: Pete

COULD THIS BE A RESULT OF:the car is idaling at say 750-800 rpm sound lovely not lumpy not noisey in any way, then you touch throttle now, it dos'nt rev sothly up to were ever you want it holds back for a secound almost if its staving of air then the revs come in thick and fast , now it doesnt matter if you rev it from 1000 rev 2000 rev 3 or even hold it at 4000 revs also it dosent matter if the peddles down hard or soft.THE DREDED DET SENOR

Hi Guys, Me and the Zed got stuck in a traffic jam and after about 40 minutes the (stock) temp gauge suddenly hit the top stop! I pulled onto the hard shoulder, turned the car off and watched plumes of smoke come out from the bonnet. After getting home on the back of the AA truck, I discovered that I have plenty of coolant in the rad and no burst hoses. I started the car and let it run for a bit as it sounded fine. Suddenly, there's odd noises (bubbly spurty sounds) and oil smoke coming from the drivers side of the engine. I can't spot the source of the oil leak and pressure seems OK. Any ideas what might have popped?
