I have a carbon prop shaft not currently fitted to my car. One of the previous owners had a problem with it, whilst it was on the car, the UJ has came away/unwelded itself from the shaft and i am wondering if anybody has ideas where i can get it fixed. I have spoken to the member where it originated from and he advised me to try torqueline.......well i have emailed them twice without any success, so thougt i would try asking on here:blink: The car did go to Jeffs place to have the work done [was a suspected clutch failure] and he though the car was to powerful for this type of propshaft, any thoughts on that??? Hi there, Having had quite a scare at the weekend (see previous threads) I'm still trying to piece together how things came to be. Not in the 'why are we here, do we really exist sense', but more to do with the water level in my cooling system. As i mentioned befor, when i bought the car - early may - there was nothing to suggest any issues. The car didn't run hot, the heater worked and everything seemed fine. Now I must point out I was foolishly checking the level in the expansion bottle and had not checked the rad level (:clown: I know, I know). So its possible the fluid level could have been a little low to start with. I guess this because now, with rad …

how this still insists on remaining attached to my zed... Uploaded with ImageShack.us i did read a few threads on here on how to remove hicas ball joints, and i started off grinding down the ball joints to knock through with a hammer etc but they wouldnt budge so i thought i`d try and drill through to hopfully release some pressure (not sure if that was a good idea or not) but now im at this point..any ideas?? lol. Cheers

Put some 15mm spacers on today :) (front) needed to clear the caliper and bring the new alloys out a touch. I've noticed that the power steering has gone a little stiffer and the Hicas light is staying on :confused1: When I bought the car the previous owner said that the Hicas light comes on, on long journeys, which it did coming back from London to Cardiff (hasn't been on since), because the factory steering wheel has been replaced with a Momo wheel, something to do with the sensor or something? Is this the norm? I understand that the steering may get heavier because i've brought the wheels out but should the Hicas be on? Cheers Matt

im off to view a set of wheels later on . they are currently fitted to a maxda rx7 . the sizes are front 225 x40 x 18. rears 255 x 35 x 18 . im sure there is scope to increase both front and rear a little . maybe 245 front and 265 /275 rear . not sure what the offsets are . does anybody know if the hub sizes and offsets for a mazda rx7 is similar to the zed . especially the hub . unfortunately i cant take the zed to do a trial fit as shes in a few pieces at the moment cheers andy

Hi all, I bought my Z from Maz on saturday, the ride is really good and I've really enjoyed everything about it so far! The steering has always been quite hard, myself and Maz thought it was because of the undersized steering wheel, however as I was driving home last night it was as if the powersteering had suddenly been turned on, or become more powerful, the steering has now become very light... Maz was saying about how his one was becoming very heavy and was due to a sensor within the gearbox, which will stiffen up the steering at higher speeds. Is it possibly this sensor which could have caused the sudden change in lightness of steering? Cheers guys Sk…

Just had to top up my PS fluid again so I've resigned myslf to the idea of having a leak. So, is there a common failure and if so is it easy to fix, or am I going to have to start pulling induction pipes off to find it? TIA!

Im trying to hook up a Dell SX270 pc to my JVC KW-AVX800 double din head unit. The sound is no problem. I've connected the Audio Input to the head unit (red and white rca lead) to a 3.5mm jack on the pc's sound card. Sorted. Happy days. All works fine. My problem is getting a picture to stay still. Im getting the "enter password" screen with the windows logo appearing on my screen but it's flashing across it. The manual for the head unit says that it's resolution is 480 x 236. I connected my PC back to a normal monitor but the lowest resolution i could get it to is 800 x 600. I suppose what im asking is: a) How do I go about lowering the resolu…

totally never realised but when i did water bypass today i noticed the new rad cap i had supplied with my new hiflow radiator was a 1.3kg/cm2 which is making wonder if that higher pressure caused my water leak so i have now put on a stock cap 1.1kg/cm2 but as this was off my old rad i need a new one but all i can find is 13psi caps are these the right pressure?
