Hi folks, Gave the car a bit of extra TLC on the weekend. Have taken the advice of another forum member (Damo) and invested in some serious car cleaning kit. It wasn't cheap but then, when you break the cost down per wash, it ain't sooo bad. Wish I could post some pics, but unfortunately you can't see the detail, so it would just be more photos of my car, which still looks the same - black etc. Anyway, I was a little sceptical about how much of an improvement all the kit would make, but I have been totally blown away. Well, my first real drive completed without any hiccups! After the coolants leaks, pas leaks, vacuum leaks (caused by the garage whilst attempting to fix the pas, with another minor one I still need to find), safety boost (put the resistor back in and its gone!), wrong sized tyres (previous owner and I had them replaced like for like without checking!), broken sill (jacked up too close to the rear wheel and it sank - still to fix) I was 'forced' to use the zed for my work commute - and it made it! hi all just looking at fitting my eibach springs/stock shocks set up, do i need to fit adjustable front and rear camber arms with these?

The only identifying marks/names on my aftermarket jap import exhaust is "burnout"?! When I try a search the only info I find is of cars doing burnouts :oops: Has anyone heard of this manufacturer? Thanks in advance.

My speedo has packed up in my jap n/a. Odometer still working. Still nothing when chip removed (back to kmph). Reckon speedo head must be knackered ?? I have found a British instrument set that came out of a TT. Will that go straight in and read right without the chip ? do I still need the chip to delimit ? Thanks a lot .:helpsmilie:

Was suprised to know about if i pull 1 click on me handbrake it hardens the rear shocks on a uk spec, love to know how that works, couldnt find it in my book either, got to be there somewhere

I bought some used nismo 555's. Id like to test them before installing them. Whats the correct way/readings to test with a meter. Thanks

I have fitted an AMS rad to my car. Do i need to re fit the expansion tank as it is cracked and don't want to fit one if i don't have to. Hi All I'm new here so hope you don't mind me pitching straight in with a question but I recently bought a 300ZX and I have found the performance to be adequate but a little less than I was expecting! The engine runs fine, no smoking or misfiring but she does seems a little bit slower than I would have expected from a 3ltr V6 twin turbo which has a reputation for going like sh*t off a shovel! Can any one suggest things I can check out - maybe a turbo problem? Thanks in advance MickLaw

Hey folks im getting ready to put my shell in for a respray in black and i have quite decided what to do with the rear of the tailgate. The OEM spoiler has been removed and ive been throwing a few ideas about. Do i go with smoothing it down and fitting a perspex panel on its own, fitting a tailgate skin, or something else or a combination of the other two. Comments and pics appreciated please. Marty

got home from work on friday night and parked outside my house didn't go out all day saturday, went out this morning to find a dent behind the drivers door, presumably someone drove into it. whats really anoying is they would have had to drive down the pavement and then swing in to my car no note left, neighbours didn't see anything :(

After just over 3years of ownership the Zed is finally gone, to someone who really loved it and has such high hopes and good ideas about what to do with it! I do wish the new owner all the luck with it and a pleasant and trouble-free time with his new 300! I have told him all about this forum and hopefully we should see him some time soon on here posting away!! Hi i filled my car up today full with the shell fuel save stuff, my car is pinking like mad?? They have changed my usual V power stuff over, :hammer: How frightening and boost went down to virtually zero, I have spent last few hours with a neighbour syphoning car out, let it tick over untill empty, went tescos with a jerry can filled up with Tescos 99, took it round block no problem at all???? Is it a coincidence?? cars fantastic now, i didnt put diesel in, Should i tell Shell or ??:gun_bandana::gun_bandana:

As above!! Once again Jeff and Jamie have done good. I collected my car today and, as usual, am very pleased! I had the a/c compressor replaced 5-6 weeks back but sadly one of the a/c pipes sprang a leak a couple of weeks later. So another trip to Zedworld was needed; and Jamie cut out the bad section and fabricated a new bit for me, then had it regassed (again!).... Plus I thought I'd have the auto box oil changed and the tension rod bushes replaced whilst it was there. Well the a/c is so good that even set at 21 degrees on the way home I was too cold (and I'm not one to feel the cold - I wear short sleeves in winter FFS!). The steering felt more pre…

Met up with the Japanese Performance Magazine photographers this morning for a four hour shooting session on my car.They traveled down from up north on a shooting tour.Very pro couple so should be some great pics.Dont know yet which addition the article will be in yet so will post up details as an when.

I have a Jap spec car and since I have had it the indicator on left turn did not cancel. :mad2: I have off ebay bought one and it was advertised as a UK spec but it was very cheap and thought I would give it a go. :winkiss: I have included two pics, the Jap one on the left pic as an extra 3 pin multi plug that the UK one does not, so obviously I cannot connect the wire from the car if there is now nowhere for it to go!!! Tested everything and all seems to work perfectly :cool3: My question - Why this extra 3 pin on the J-specs??

Just won these on the bay..... At last i can get my front brake upgrade progressed. Been watching evo brembo calipers for the last 4-6 months, waiting for the pair to come along at the right price. £162 delivered, not too bad me thinks. New paint, lacquer and decals and they will be fine. Al.

Hi all, Ok I had some dead bushes in my front upper wishbone, bought two replacement bushes to replace every bush in it and turns out that I actually need four... excellent. So I got angry and bought some adjustable upper arms and eibach springs I've been wanting to do this for about 5 years now so to say I'm excited is an understatement. From memory I can get enough adjustment for the camber on the rear using the stock arms. My car is currently stock suspension wise apart from KYB AGX shocks, but in the future I plan to upgrade the roll bars. Should I do that before I have it all set up? Is there anything I've forgotten?
