HI!! In Spain, the temperature now is about 35-45 ºCelsius, and my water temperature is always around 200-205º F. Now I have bought a Nismo thermosthat that opens at 62º C, and some people tell me that if I install the Nismo, the normal conditions of the engine will be diferent, (electronic adaptation of temperature sensor etc)... What do you think about this? Thanks Javier

Hi there, I was giving my engine bay a bit of a clean this afternoon, to make it easier to see exactly where rust is coming through and just to make things look a little cleaner, I noticed a couple of issues one is the wiring going to a sensor I think, water temperature maybe? I'm not sure what I need to get to fix this, is it possible to get just the connector which I can re-wire? The second issue I noticed was a plug found by the fuel lines running across the top of the engine, the moulding it has to keep it held onto it's bracket is broken so its all floppy and I just want to replace it really. Can anyone help me find these parts? or …

When I got the car on the boost controller the peak from the previous owner was 16.7, I beat this and had 17.6 I think it was. I then had someone link it to a pc, or so I am lead to believe and then very soon after I flogged it again and got 19.3psi, giving me loads of power with a view to more to come I thought. But now I am struggling to get it above 13. 14 or so, it just loses power, :huh:wooshes away instead of pulling me along with more gusto. What is happening please?

Hi all, I have a dead clutch on my 91 300zxtt and im hoping someone can offer some advice before I start buying new clutch parts? Problems started when the clutch started slipping on boost in 3rd gear. This very quickly turned into 2nd gear as well and I realised I may well need a new clutch. It only gave me another day or so before it went completely giving me no clutch at all. Up until this point no fluid had dropped in the clutch reservoir so I had no reason to suspect it was anything other than a worn clutch. Upon parking it up I found a large patch of fluid under it. Assuming the slave cylinder has now leaked is this a likely result of the clutch …

OK guys, i know this has been done to death but i did a search and for some reason brought up just about every thread ever created and nowt to do with insurance. The problem is that i recieved my renewal today from MCE who i have used for years and the quote was not a kick in the ass of £900?? I'm 32, have driven since i was 18 have had no accidents, no claims and 14 years no claims bonus? this seems extorsionate so i did a "Compare the Market" and the cheapest it came up with was over £900?? It's a 1995 N/A too? not a turbo in site. Anyone recommend a good company? Numbers would be appreciated. Cheers Peter

Hi folks, Really enjoying the Zed at the moment, but being a pessimist I can't help but think huge expense is looming just around the corner.. Car has done about 70 thou miles now and smokes once its been stood a week or so. I know there could be plenty of other reasons for the smoke, but I'm already assuming the worst while hoping for the best.. Irrespectively, the turbos will have had enough eventually (I also think the boost has been tweaked on my motor judging by the performance - so maybe sooner than later), so where do I start thinking about their replacement? I'm pretty confident that they'll last until I stow the car away for winter, but I may be asking …

Evenin all, Just got back from a bit of a blast tonight, while the turbo timer was running down the engine was idling at about 1300rpm. Also noticed it when i was waiting at some traffic lights just befor i got back. Tried blipping the throttle to help it settle, but stayed at a constant 1300ish Any ideas? Checked the throttle springs, but not long since i WD40'd em...

I have just been lucky enough to secure a manual conversion kit for my slicktop :gunsmilie: I now need to source a clutch to go with it (and someone to fit it), i will be looking to keep power pretty much standard for now  So i am hoping for some advice/recommendations as to which clutch i should go for? I have been advised to look for an uprated n/a clutch. Any advice is greatly appreciated as it's all beyond me. I just like the way it looks and how it goes!! Thanks in advance.

after some "propper" diagnosis my local performance garage has informed me that i need a new det sensor and wiring lume (allthough i told them this when i dropped it off). they're still taking the piss a bit on getting me a quote, however they did say it would take a full day, so i'm estimating about £600 all in. anyone else had one changed at a garage? or is it a do doable job on a drive?
