Hi all, just noticing little things the more I drive my Z, When I hit the loud pedal with moderate force I get a distinct smell of either burning oil or half burnt petrol, im not really sure which.. but my main issue, is, why can I smell it?? where would likely gaps be from engine bay or exhaust? is it possible its coming through the air inlets? and on top of that, whats the best thing to do to fix the issue in the first place? is it possibly a sticky injector or something so its running richer than it should? i've given it a bit of a rev with the bonnet up and cant seem to smell it then... which makes me think exhaust..?? I really dont know.. anybody elses Z smell …

All set to fit my Apexi on a N/A auto, and am confused as to what to do with the original pipework. I was all set to cap the pipework on either side where it used to fit into the air box, but upon investigation it looks like there is a branch off of these intake pipes that goes directly into the pipework AFTER the airbox. As I see this, it appears that fresh, unfiltered air is by-passing the airfilter. Is this correct or am I just have a blonde day (or week?). Anyway's, what the heck should I do with the original pipework if anything?

Anyone know what the import duty is likely to be on a clutch from Z1? Total cost including shipping is a little under $700. Need to buy one soon and just pricing up the options of getting it from Z1 (again) or from Smithys....unless anyone knows of anywhere else? Obviously local would be better in case things go wrong...as it did with my last clutch from z1!

Fog lights..... I bust the back mines, so got a new one (thanks ck300,will sort that paypal out!) but how on earth do I get the wires in without disconecting from the plugs? I don't think they all unclip as only the white wire Has male and female crimps. So am I being stupid and missing something without having to cut and try obtain new male and female crimps to wire back up, I don't do soldering etc so not wanting to remove from the plugd whatsoever.

I have a question (or two). I have a very expensive Greddy 3 row HG FMIC that has sat in my hallway for over a year! I haven't fitted it yet because I can't make my mind up on a sutable bumper. I like the 99 spec bumper but it looks like only the top row of the intercooler will recieve and air flow therefore providing uneven charge temps. Is this just theorising rubbish? Am I better off going for SMIC's with a 99 spec bumper? The thing is - my car now sits quite low which I love but it kind of rules out deep bumpers and fibre glass bumpers. Help!!!!! Andy

Got my car in a garage doing work, Having gearbox conversion carried out aswell as cambelt kit and water pump changed, thermostat changed, EGR removed and any other junk not needed like my Hicas Solenoids (hicas removed) i have been advised by a mate to get the cam seals done as they are cheap and worth doing whilst down there. i already have vac pipes and water bypass kit to be fitted and replaced Can anyone advise me on what else could/should be done that is simple whilst front is off? i can then order parts and send them to mechanic :):red_indian:
