Hi all, Got this prob with my aircon. Hard to describe so i made a video of it so you can hear the sound thats bugging me. It's a kind of squeal noise that cycles. Only happens with the aircon switched on, and the sound is coming from the glovebox area. I had it re-gassed last summer, and the sound was already there but not so much. Re-gassing didn't stop the squeal. Already the aircon is not very cold... You can hear the noise start at around 14seconds into this first video. totally not sure where to look on this one? :( thanks guys

After nearly cooking my engine I now have some questions regarding how the engine actually works. 1) Are the turbos in any way cooled by water? I was v. surprised to read this and wasn't sure if it was fact or fiction.. 2) Are the SMICs air-to-air or air-to-water? Assumed they were air-to-air but wasn't sure.. Cheers

Side lights work, full beams work, dipped headlights do not. Bugger! changed fuses, bulbs are clearly not blown - my boyfriend has looked at the wiring and has found some electricians tape on some wires relating to the lights, so suspect some sort of botched repair by previous owner. Can I just check, when you depress the brake pedal, is it normal for a red light on the dash saying "lights" to come on? Or is this part of the above issue possibly? Hoping someone at the meet up on Sunday will have a bit more knowledge of a Z than us will be able to point us in the right direction. In the meantime, no night time driving for me!!

I have a carbon prop shaft not currently fitted to my car. One of the previous owners had a problem with it, whilst it was on the car, the UJ has came away/unwelded itself from the shaft and i am wondering if anybody has ideas where i can get it fixed. I have spoken to the member where it originated from and he advised me to try torqueline.......well i have emailed them twice without any success, so thougt i would try asking on here:blink: The car did go to Jeffs place to have the work done [was a suspected clutch failure] and he though the car was to powerful for this type of propshaft, any thoughts on that??? 21. Hi there, Having had quite a scare at the weekend (see previous threads) I'm still trying to piece together how things came to be. Not in the 'why are we here, do we really exist sense', but more to do with the water level in my cooling system. As i mentioned befor, when i bought the car - early may - there was nothing to suggest any issues. The car didn't run hot, the heater worked and everything seemed fine. Now I must point out I was foolishly checking the level in the expansion bottle and had not checked the rad level (:clown: I know, I know). So its possible the fluid level could have been a little low to start with. I guess this because now, with rad …

how this still insists on remaining attached to my zed... Uploaded with ImageShack.us i did read a few threads on here on how to remove hicas ball joints, and i started off grinding down the ball joints to knock through with a hammer etc but they wouldnt budge so i thought i`d try and drill through to hopfully release some pressure (not sure if that was a good idea or not) but now im at this point..any ideas?? lol. Cheers

Put some 15mm spacers on today :) (front) needed to clear the caliper and bring the new alloys out a touch. I've noticed that the power steering has gone a little stiffer and the Hicas light is staying on :confused1: When I bought the car the previous owner said that the Hicas light comes on, on long journeys, which it did coming back from London to Cardiff (hasn't been on since), because the factory steering wheel has been replaced with a Momo wheel, something to do with the sensor or something? Is this the norm? I understand that the steering may get heavier because i've brought the wheels out but should the Hicas be on? Cheers Matt
