....to Andy Isherwood and Mark Silverbullet for helping me fit my refurbed R33 GTR brembos yesterday!! It took a fair while...mainly due to hangovers and a bit too much banter/messing about but the sun was out, the pizza was ordered and we had a laugh!! And an extra special thanks to Andy for doing such a sterling job refurbing and painting the calipers!! Absolutely brilliant finish and I'm SOOO chuffed with them!! :thumbup1: Thanks again fellas!!! I've stuck some pics up (apologied for the poor quality!)... Before: After: Close ups: And some random...

This as bothered me for a while, under this black trim I could see black as well as silver and it looked untidy. :crying: I took the wiper arms off and then both pieces of trim, it revealed areas of black overspray or underspray if you like, this removed quite easily and it all returned back to a pleasing silver. Then gave everything on the car a thoroughly cleaning. Sprayed up gloss black on the trim, as you imagine over time they do sun fade. Sprayed and livened up the finish on the wiper arms. A simple job and another well worth the time and effort. :thumbup1:

Hi, my dads primera p12 is idling very lumpy and kicking out lots of blue smoke, ive read on various websites and forums that it could be the piston rings but the car has barely done 40k, plus he rarely brakes the speed limit lol. surely its not the piston rings at such low mileage. does anyone have any ideas. any comments greatly appreciated cheers si

Is it just me, or does anyone else have difficultly actually being able to see the speedo/revs? It's not my eyesight... my steering wheel is in the way! I had a 320mm wheel on there, just changed it for a bigger wheel but no difference (actually slightly worse now). I'm about 6ft and was just wondering if anyone else has this problem? Adjusting the seat doesn't help... just another quirk of the Z I guess! :innocent:

So, the intitial emergency seems to be over.. But i'm confused now. I definitely had warm air from the heater when I got the car, so there was enough water in it to function to some degree. Certainly nothing to arouse suspicion anyway. This morning however, there was clearly no water in it.:confused1: Where did the water go? There's no indication that the head is letting water through, there's definitely no white smoke in the exhaust. Fact. Nor is there any water in the oil. So if the water isn't going through the head and isn't leaking out through a hose, where the fook did it go? Somewhere down the line, whatever water was in the system ha…

Right, Took it for a run this morning to see if the issue was still present.. Temp went up to about 110, so pulled over and checked engine temp with my hand, radiator was cool and top of engine was warm, but not excessively so. This made me think the issue was with the sensor, however... couldn't get any warm air from the heater, so no hot water in the matrix... Temp reading went upto 150+ so took the car back and popped the bonnet again. No pressure in radiator!!!! took the cap off and nothing... poored a kettle of water in and a lot of gurgling and then steam etc, started the engine without the rad cap and coolant pissed out everywhere, so water pump is w…

Hi folks, Just got the zed back today - after some suspension work So, have been for some 'spirited driving'.. Unfortunately there seems to be an issue with the cooling system. I have a tech tom fitted so i am able to see a digital read out for the engine temp. On a motorway cruise to my mate's the temp was steady at 80-85 degrees c while at motorway speeds. However, I've just got back from a quick blast consisting of mainly backroads and then some fun on an industrail estate (roundabouts) and the temp has started being erratic. The temp quickly went up to about 95, then all of a sudden jumped to 105, then fell quickly to 90 and then rose quickly agai…

Hi ya'll, been hammering this forum today, many helpful replies too! Should I get one of those in-line pipe efforts with the threaded hole for the water temp sensor (aftermarket), if so, where should I put it? It should be at the top of the coolant system, only one pipe, but it has a bend in it, would I be able to bung one in there? And what size is the pipe (internal diameter)? Thanks again, ooh, anyone got a picture of one of these fitted? Cheeeerrssss....

well ust took the zed oput for a run today now i have got the radiator done and it's not lost any coolant in last few days, on getting back just now though i noticed steam rising from under the bonnet on inspection it looks to be coming from roughly centre (injectorish area ) on the plenum on the passenger side turbo water pipe maybe? i noticed there was no pressure in rad and a very small puddle of water but rad seems full at mo is this a plenum off job to fix? also if i leave car on tickover for 10 mins or so i'm getting blueish smoke out of the drivers side exhaust give the throttle a blip and it clears could this be pcv valves? i noticed the passenger side valve …
