Hello, all - it's been a long time but I've been offered another Z so it looks like I'll be getting my hands dirty again. Just a quick one - which turbo can you do with the engine in place and which can't? I'm thinking it's the left (passenger side) one that's a pain but I can't remember. Also is there anyone doing good deals on slightly larger turbo's these days? Typically I sold pretty much all my Z bits off at the end of last year as I couldn't see me using them. I kept seeping Z's that were either too pricey or complete wrecks so kind of gave up then this one pops up out of nowhere. :thumbup1:

Spotted a couple of nice Z's in Newport today (didn't have my camera on me though) There was a tidy red 'Z' reg 'M300...' parked up outside No Frills around 1'ish and then I spotted another black/dark grey parked up at the top of the hill just off Albert avenue/Church road in maindee it's been a while since I've seen another 'Z' in Newport, there used to be a red SWB parked just up the road from my parents house on Victoria avenue but haven't seen it for a year or so now, hope the guy hasn't sold it

My tickover is at around 1500 rpm. Its usually around 1000 which I know is still a little high. Is it easy to adjust down?? k

As you probably know, I've been looking for a car for some time, and haven't really seen anything worth buying, so I've been thinking about importing one. Can anyone recommend any dealers that import 300ZX's? I'm also curious about how much they are to buy from Japan. My dad had his FTO imported about 5 years ago, and he seemed to pay a lot more than what it was realistically worth.

Hey all cars in the bodyshop for respray and kit fit so while its there Ive been getting some work done on the new engine, BUT im not sure what turbos and manifolds to go for??? Id be quiet happy with 400-450bhp ive already got decat exhaust, Mines chipped ecu, HKS filter, Boost jets, and front mount intercooler. Any of the more experienced engine builders have any suggestions??? Thanks Craig

Hi All Does anyone know the recommended gap for the colder NGK PFR6B-11B plugs? Stock gap appears to be .044 but for higher boost (15-18psi), some recommend .035. Any thoughts on the correct gapping for say 14psi? Cheers

from the information I've read on this site the "safe" limit for a standard vg is 1bar boost and around 400bhp, is anybody running more than this? I'm asking because my next mod powerwise will be bigger injectors and a remap to suit, I'm already running hks gt2530's and larger intercoolers so running more boost shouldn't be a problem but could the engine take it? I'm probably opening a can of worms here but want to know if anybody is running above the norm

Another problem :sad: Car was working fine yesterday morning when I drove to work. After work when I started her up I could already hear her running rough, sounded a bit like running on 5 cylinders, and when you accelerate she chugs like a tractor. So far I have: 1: Checked all the spark plugs ( they have only done about 8000 Km - NGK PFR6B- 11C) They all look perfect, no signs of anything unusual. 2: I´ve checked the coil packs and the resistance is spot on on all of them. 3: The coil pack connectors are all brand new and the wiring etc is ok. 4: The Injectors seem to all be clicking- from what I can tell with the screwdrive…

Did you know that Peter North (porn star) is into Z32s and drives one. Found this out when I was in LA and then at Branson Z fest in Missouri, a couple of guys there say that he knows Scott Labree as well. So, Top Gear....you were correct, it IS a pornographers car! :bow:

The car gets up to temp and idles nicely, then for no apparent reason will start to hunt up and down for a moment then settle on a good idle then reapeats this over and over:huh: I have removed and cleaned idle valve and check all connectors all seem fine any thoughts peeps? Dave

Hi Guys Was driving up north from London today and noticed white smoke coming form exhaust but it only done it when i done the kick down. it has happened a couple of times. i have been told it is moisture in the exhaust? Checked radiator no oil in it, can anyone give me a little bit help and advice! much appreciated! Mark

Had an idea that im going to remove my side repeaters for a smoother look like some of the us zeds you see. The car is a black swb. i have already smoothed the tailgate and the antena hole, all stone chip will be removed no rear wiper etc. i have a 99 spec front to go on as well will i get away without them for the mot as i think the 99 spec indicators are visible from the side. if not i may integrate some new style audi wing mirror indicators into the std mirrors ( they are a thin strip like on the r8) i was also considering integrating the indicators into the main light cluster and smoothing the 99 spec to remove both the indicator and the fogs.…
