can anyone tell me which wire/s feed the signal to the aerial so it goes up when the stereo/ignition is turned on? just replaced the stereo and the thing dont go up anymore!!! dan.:confused1:

Did you know that Peter North (porn star) is into Z32s and drives one. Found this out when I was in LA and then at Branson Z fest in Missouri, a couple of guys there say that he knows Scott Labree as well. So, Top Gear....you were correct, it IS a pornographers car! :bow:

The car gets up to temp and idles nicely, then for no apparent reason will start to hunt up and down for a moment then settle on a good idle then reapeats this over and over:huh: I have removed and cleaned idle valve and check all connectors all seem fine any thoughts peeps? Dave

What would 19x10 front, 19x11.5 rear, 10 offset mean on a 300zx? :shifty:

Hi Guys Was driving up north from London today and noticed white smoke coming form exhaust but it only done it when i done the kick down. it has happened a couple of times. i have been told it is moisture in the exhaust? Checked radiator no oil in it, can anyone give me a little bit help and advice! much appreciated! Mark

Had an idea that im going to remove my side repeaters for a smoother look like some of the us zeds you see. The car is a black swb. i have already smoothed the tailgate and the antena hole, all stone chip will be removed no rear wiper etc. i have a 99 spec front to go on as well will i get away without them for the mot as i think the 99 spec indicators are visible from the side. if not i may integrate some new style audi wing mirror indicators into the std mirrors ( they are a thin strip like on the r8) i was also considering integrating the indicators into the main light cluster and smoothing the 99 spec to remove both the indicator and the fogs.…

Was asking a guy a few simple questions about this zed like where has the 500BHP come from but like most claims figures, then cant answer and avoids questions and then says im a timewaster. Surely to make a sale you would want to list things like uprated internals to achieve 500BHP. Coming back from work approx 1:00pm came up slip road J11 m27 behind Red Z on a L plate headed towards gosport i was in white Z flashed you to let you in middle lane.

Garage has just got back to me saying there's two problems fitting the decat pipes, There's lambda sensors (well theres cat temp sensors I told 'em - told him to slice em off) but unknown to me there are two metal pipes about 1" diameter going into the stock pipes coming from the inner arch area - wtf are these? can I disconnect them? will they affect running? Also when I take off the cat temp sensors I'll assume they'll leave me a red light on the dash, how can I stop this - just earth the wires? Cheers!

got the zed going in for mot on monday now everything sorted my only worry is the rear lights the outer plastic is cracked in several places where the tailgate has been hitting it, there is no white light showing to the rear but is it a mot failiure with the outer plastic cracked?

Hi Chaps, just failed the MOT because of the service brake efficiency. The tester said brake balance was ok, but overall 48% efficiency is a fail (50% req'd!) So what does this mean? He seemed to think it might have been a back caliper not working hard enough. What can I do to sort this? The calipers have recently being refurbished, with new dics and pads. The fluid was also changed, but I have had the brakes very hot since and got a very soft pedal at the time. Once cooled the brakes seemed ok again. Could it just be the fluid? Cheers Chaps.... Hello guys I need some help to know about my zed security mesures. I don't have info on my car,only that has a alarm system that i haven't even tested if it cuts fuel or sparks... But anyway, how can i know if it's a stock alarm system, does the ecu has immo? Any1 can help? thanks

atm my car rattles about like nobodies business. Half is down to the prop im sure, half is down to the suspension. I haven't had the wheels off yet (lazy me) but I'd punt a guess it has tired stock shocks and lowering springs. The front is offset about 15mm lower than the rear as is often the way. I'd like to have height adjustable suspension but only 1 set of coilovers I've had in the past have come close to comfortable and those were Tein HA's (like superstreets with more damping adjusments). I had a set of superdrifts but never got a chance to try :( . The rest were sh*te despite being big reputable names, hugely stiff to the point of flexing the chassis dangero…

My gear stick is quite slack: i.e it doesnt bounch back into neutral when shifted out of gear very convincinly. I'm unsure on how the Z box operates, would it be something like a retention spring or syncros ?

Hi guys as you may or may not no ive just changed my discs and calipers on my car,and befor i put my 18" back on again i was thinking of maybe giveing them a refurb, so my ? is should i keep the same colour on my wheels or go for a new colour,and if a new coluor. WOT SHOULD I GO FOR. please let me no wot you think,and if there is anyone out there with colour wheels please lets have a look.

After looking at getting a HICAS PS fluid bypass pipe from Z1 and being told it would be $40 for posting (not to mention $35 for the pipe,admin fees and tax when it arrives!) I've decided to make my own. It will be a threaded steel tube that the pipes from the solenoid can be joined together with. This will allow me too remove the solenoid and all the piping that goes to the back of the car. The tooling for this will cost me about a £100 plus materials. Due to this I was wondering if anybody else would be interested in having one for say around £12 to £15 ish. I won't be trading in these but am prepared to make a few extra for club members to try and cover my c…

Bit of a wierd one I know but we are trying to locate the member on here who came to see us about a re-paint and left us with one of his T Tops to window tint this was about 6 months ago !! I got a whirring noise just started. Not particularly loud. Doesn't happen when in neutral, but when in gear happens intermittentley. Bottoms out the faster you go. 1st and 2nd is noticeable. It's and Na manual Any thoughts!!

Just picked this up for a tenner! One of the boys was having a clear out so I had it cheap :) It's an Apexi (we think) but can someone identify that for me just by the pic? He thinks it's out of an S14 so, will I need a harness and if it is the Timer we think it is has anybody got instructions or direct me to a sight that has? There is no codes or labels on it. Cheers

Interesting 300zx on Pistonheads. It is basically a TT engine and gearbox in an NA body with AC, emissions and HICAS removed (NA diff). So should be a bit lighter than standard.
