I have recently aquired my first 300zx. It's a JDM TT slicktop. After a trouble free first 400miles i now can't get it to start. I am mechanically incompetent unfortunately:sad: So i was wondering if you guys know of anyone in the Reading area who might be able to help?? Beer tokens and tea/coffee at the ready. Really appreciate any help you can give me on this. Would like my Zed fettled with by somebody in the know and i'm pretty sure this is the place to find them. Thanks in advance, Daffy.

Yesterday evening. The one with the tan leather interior. Spoke to you a couple of weeks ago and have been keeping my eye out for you since I got mine. I was sat at the lights at Woodlands lane but was behind an artic so you probably couldn't see me. You on here then?

My car misses like Emile Heskey from 2 yards out in the rain after a rainey night/day and when its sunny again it runs beautifully. SO there is rain getting somewhere any ideas the most likely place? It's undriveable at the moment, it accelerates but is very choppy and misses/cuts out/revs all over the place.

Hi all, I'm considering replacing the exhaust manifolds with more efficient ones. I'm also going to fit 360 deg bearings to the T25s and wondered if anyone could recommend any alternatives to the stock ones. So far, I've seen these on e-bay, but I've heard that the cast ones are better than stainless ones and that there was once a good AMS copy:- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280515461614 Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Ive bought a second hand AEM ecu and im having trouble working out how its wired. Do all AEM ecu come with the AFR sensor? The reason being ive only 1 sensor, but ive also got the AEM AFR guage that comes with a AFR sensor. Am i right in thinking that i have a sensor missing or can i wire the guage to read the ECU output if i plug the sensor into the ECU? Cheers Dan

On my way home yesterday evening, I spotted a yellow zed on the A46 near Lincoln, that had tried to kill it's owner coming off a roundabout. Looks like a combination of just rained on road, and an  moment joined forces and fired him up the embankment.... I hope it's not too expensive a fix for whoever the unlucky squire is....

A question? Is it fair to say that Zeds that have been tampered with re power and performance are less reliable than those not. My reason is that I have owned mine for about 4 years now and it has not had a great deal done ecept for a mongoose system. But it seems (touch wood ) very reliable. Yet I see on lots of occasions problems with zeds that have been modified in some way.

Some ebay ads are pretty vague when it comes to details - but this one for a 300zx just takes the piss. Do some people not want to sell the car??!! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/nissan-300zx-tt-auto-/250646541741?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a5bb2b5ad It looks very nice, but at £7k, I'd want some sort of idea what I'm looking at. :pinch:

Hmm got a slight issue, one of the local buses was blundering through the village today, the drivers forget that althogh the same length as a minibus they are the same width as a normal bus so i had no where to go as he didnt pull into the space I left for him. Stupid fool shouldnt have come up the road anyway, obstruction was on his side! My zed is too low to get on the curb there so long story short iv curbed one of my wheels badly, and caught the rear wheel as well. Pain in the arse, although I was never too fond of the black with red rim anyway - what colours should I consider? At the moment I'm really fancying a bronze colour a bit like the old wheels that …

Well we finally got the zed running properly last week as the car only had 1st and 2nd gear  (thanks old zed the gearbox works perfectly ) just need to de-limit it now  So today we decided to have a nice drive around London enjoying the good-ish weather, targas off etc... when an old man (he must of been atleast 80+) in his 58 plate VW polo decided to hit my dads zed!! :gun_bandana:  We were literally stopped in traffic on a roundabout, next to the exit (which only has one lane for the exit) and he decided to accelerate right into the drivers side door scrapping it and denting it along with breaking the wing mirror  claims the car to his…

First of all i would like to say hi to all the guys on the forum and i should of really introduced myself in the newb section first, so forgive me diving straight in to my problems.. Well about 9 months ago my friend and i purchased a 300zx TT 1990 ,the car was brought as a non runner for £800 which seemed cheap as it had only done 3k on a brand new gearbox and the guy had owned it for 8 years and spent lots of money making it as powerfull as he could. there is a dyno run printout with the car from 2004 showing 650bhp so the thought of owning such a beast made it an easy decision,,we soon got the car running after some fuel and a jump start, but it ploomed blue smok…
