June 10, 201016 yr I got a whirring noise just started. Not particularly loud. Doesn't happen when in neutral, but when in gear happens intermittentley. Bottoms out the faster you go. 1st and 2nd is noticeable. It's and Na manual Any thoughts!!
June 10, 201016 yr Author I've just played around with it, and standing neutral if i switch the aircon off it goes away and then put aircon back on it comes back, the sound is coming from OS around glovebox area. I had it re-gassed the other week and had no leeks. The sound is more gurgly than whirring now a sort of gurgly whirry noise, bit like how darth vader sounds when he's breathing

It's gone away for now, but it'll be back later, but i'm pretty sure it wasn't that close. I'll double check. it's like it came from behind the glove box, but i was sat in the drivers seat at the time. And it did sound a bit liquidy
June 10, 201016 yr if it sounds like a bubbling noise its probably the AIV ,s . located behind the splash guards under front wheel arches . they gather water over time . simple fix , just undo the clips and let the water out . mine used to sound like a jacuzzi . there is 1 both sides
