Ok. I just wanted to share this with you before I'll do it! I will have my zed resprayed. Same colour. The spoiler will be changed with Japslapper's carbon fibre wing. The bonnet will be carbon fibre. Vented. Not sure but I think driftworks.. The wheels...Shall I keep them as they are or to get them refurbished with the center bit to look like carbon fibre effect? That's it for now... Thanks for reading and any sugestion welcome!

Had a bit of a clunk for a few months on my z31 and I reckoned it was a knackered strut, it wasn't getting much use until the past few weeks so I just put in to the garage today to get checked out. Turns out the strut is fine, the clunk was actually due to my rear nearside spring going THROUGH my rear wishbone arm!! Its currently millimeters away from striking the driveshaft...to think I was doing ***mph in it last weekend on a coastal road trip and was due to go a 200 mile road trip to a classic car show this Sunday  Phoned Nissan for a laugh to price up a new arm and they wanted £700+ and a months wait to get it on back order  so I phoned a few br…

Im starting to get excited, my zed is all mapped and running 100% fine. They have done the initial set up sorted a few minor issues out and she is puring like a baby now!. Going on the rolling road tommorow then they will make sure everything else is ok and modify the exhaust and do a few other bits I asked them to. Fingers crossed she might be on the road by next week some time. After all this time doing it and now im getting so close to drive her. How exciting!!! show time...

Does anyone have a pic of red brembo calipers with the brembo lettering in black? I'm about to get some painted up and though white is the usual colour for the lettering I'm hoping to keep with a black/red theme throughout but not sure if it will look as good/standout clearly.... Also figured the white lettering would probably look brown before too long without regular polishing up... Thanks guys!

Started the car this morning to go to work and it fired up fine but started making a horrendous noise - best way I can describe it is it sounded like a loud vacuum cleaner. I turned it off straight away and took the keys out, but the noise continued for about another 3 minutes before it eventually got gradually quieter and then stopped altogether. Opened the bonnet while it was making the noise but couldn't tell where it was coming from. It did sound like something gradually spinning down while it was stopping. Is this likely to be a turbo failure? Eeeeeek If so, how much does it cost to get a reconditioned one? Am really hoping this isn't going to be the end of my Z…

Hi, Since my son was born 2 months ago, and despite the great weather, we simply haven't been able to go out in the Z as his seat simply won't fit in the back. There are 2 issues: 1. The seat is so long (one of those travel system seats) that the front seat has to be pushed fully forward and even then it's a squeeze. 2. The seat belts are tiny, so no way to secure the seat. Has anyone managed to get a baby seat in the back safely? Which seat did you use? Looks like a lovely weekend again and I must find a way of getting him in there! Thanks.

Hi all, New ZX owner here and I just have a few questions... The cluster on the left hand side that switches off the wipers, clock, mirrors etc just turns off. I can't find the fault as the fuse is fine. Any ideas? I'm also looking for some good weather strips for the doors.. the ones that sit on the glass. I'm looking for two back boxes... preferably the big bore ones as it's got a performance exhaust on. Ta, Rob.

Don't shoot me down in flames here please... Does anyone know if an R32 GTR rear spoiler has been fitted to a Z before, and do you think it would look ok? Or even better a picture. I'm aware that the R32 is a very square design in comparison to the Z, but I think it could wear it well maybe? :donatello:

I'm not a great fan of big bodykits, but just found this on google. Details are shady, looks like its the 'explosion' kit made by 'Evolution'? Anyone got any other pics or thoughts? I think it looks good, and that rear spoiler looks like its off a diablo :detective:

I've been having a further explore around my engine bay and have found a few puzzling bits... What this connector for? What should this (badly!) capped hose coming from the balance bar be for? (Yes that is an inch of pipe and a screw cable tied it, and yes it leaks as I have found out! Also, what the hell is this thing thats disconnected by the bonnet catch, dont remember my old one having it but it appears to be some pipe that runs through the bonnet catch area but no hoses plugged onto either end of it, although the electrical connecter still appears to be connected.

Barely noticeable in all fairness and it cleared once the car was driven. I think the oil level's a bit high, could that cause it? Thanks (again) in advance. (Sorry for being paranoid!!)

Hi everyone. Hope someone could give me some hints about my problem... I had the car at MOT last month. They said there was too much slack in the steering. I have checked the steering knuckle and bushing. I can't find any play.. I have a little slack in the steering, but that came after I changed the steering pump. Could air in the system cause slack in the steering ?? I have tried to bleed the system. But can't see any signs of air in the system. The oil is a bit over max, does that have anything to say?

Hi - my air con has been blowing hot for about 3 weeks. Went to my regular garage today for a gas recharge. Only problem is they could only find the 'H' input connector and none of us could see the 'L' or blue suction point. I searched the forum and the web but couldn't find where the 'L' connector is. There is a 'glass bubble' near the H connector but no sign of the Low or suction. Help??

Not sure if anyone on here uses the HEL BRAKE LINES (i know they make them for the 300zx) but check your brake lines asap. I normally dont copy paste things from other forums but think this a very important issue. From another forum: ATTENTION ALL HEL BRAKE LINE USERS!!!! CHECK YOUR HEL BRAIDED BRAKE LINES NOW!!!!!!! This was bought to my attention by my customer when he went for a MOT test. My customer drives an Accord Type R. I fitted a set of HEL braided brake lines to his car less than 11 months/10,000 mile ago. During the MOT test visual inspection, the MOT tester points out that his brake lines are cracking, then it went onto the brake roller…
