Other than the visual differences, are there any dimensional differences? Fancy ditching the steel spare of the LWB for the alloy one of the SWB. Do they secure down ok in the same way as that of the LWB?

I,ve had a go at my pump today after all the warnings about pressurising a blocked off hicas section of the pump , this is what i,ve found . After AndyGP had mentioned about removing vanes i thought i,d best open up the pump and have a look. The pump looks to have two seperate sections that work sepearately from each other , front section powering the steering rack and rear section for the Hicas hence why there is a split feed on top of the pump . It,s just the rear that needs attention , on previous threads it,s been said to remove the spring and valve which i have done , i then removed the backplate exposing the Hicas oil pump . The top plate just lifts of…

Ok , I know what most are going to say,I dont like it too, but here me out!! I dont like a stock rear end and need some sort of rear valance! so i purchased this little number below with the idea of cutting/chopping/adding to make it resemble the beautiful twinz peru rear!! but to be quite honest i cant be arsed now  So... do i splash out and buy the real deal? or have you guys any suggestion of what will look good? I dont really want to spend all that money and buy a twinz and with my car being black i will loose most of the detail. I`ve looked at other diffusers from other cars and thought of smoothing it on this bumper i have at the moment, my mate at the…

Bit of a strange question this, but here go's: Does anybody own/or know somebody who owns a Z32 TT that was down at ZTECH about 2 years back (before they moved) having a replacement engine fitted? I believe it was on Northern Ireland plates: 'OIL ----'

I was just wondering (have been for a while now) if it would be possible to run a tablet pc in car instead of a car pc, I am not talking about an Ipad as it would need to be able to run diagnostics and I am not sure whether these could be run on an Ipad. Just a thought any opinion on this from the PC experts?

Hi, I just purchased some VS side skirts for my 300zx lwb. They are short by about 2.5 to 3 inches. i think they are probably for a SWB or another car. My question is, can somebody with a SWB give me the measurement of the sill :) ZIND

BAH! SPent good money on what I was told was a hicas momo boss which came of a TT zed. It looks like any other boss but has 2 metal spikes/prongs out the back. After doing some reading it looks like the hicas bosses should have 2 holes so the factory hicas ring can sit nicely in it etc etc. Anyway I fudded up because I had the bright idea of customising the hicas ring to fit the boss by sanding down the plastic protrusions and drilling 2 holes for the metal prongs to go through (since it's just a solid plastic disc which goes round at the same rate as the wheel). Turns out it wasn't such a great idea as when I tighten the nut up it causes some plastic …

Now that I have a new front end I dont want to spoil it with a massive number plate nor do I want to block the air getting in. Does anyone know of anywhere that does the legal special sizes of 350mm x 112mm or 330mm x 140mm (standard uk size is 520mm x 112mm). I've looked online there are places that do them but they insist on putting their name / postcode at the bottom of the plate - then there was demonplates.com who let you choose your slogan at the bottom but not the special size I want! Starting to pull my hair out over this because I want to be back on the road! EDIT: Also is there something you can buy with a numberplate release so that I can remove…

The cambelt on my newly acquired Z was changed back in 2005, 40k miles ago; I know the book says 6 years and 50k miles. I was planning to change it in the autumn, as it needs to be off the road for a good few days for other work to be done. I plan a few longish motorway journeys over the summer perhaps putting 1500 - 2000 miles on the clock. Is it worth taking the chance? This may seem a daft question but is there any warning before it snaps, noise vibration, performance etc.

Im in the process of cleaning and overhauling my manual box,(not internals) and ive noticed 1 pipe entry/exit point, a bit like a vac pipe union. ( i have an auto at the minute, hence the question) the box is on a bench in my garage. Is this for an oil cooler? i thought it would have an in and an out. Or is it for a vac line? Does it need to be connected and if so, what too? Any ideas? I will try and get some pics up to show the bit im on about. Much appreciated Graham Pic of pipe

I've removed my radiator to ease the access to my power steering pump. I'll be in a position to refit my radiator sometime this weekend so i'm wondering what kind of coolant i should be using? I've read on previous posts about a 90% coolant - 10% water mix but should i go to Nissan and get their recommended stuff or will any old coolant from a local motor factors do the job?

Hi all, having a few problems with my new 300zx twin turbo (auto) there is loads of White smoke coming out of passenger side exhaust I have taken turbo pipes off and there is no water in the pipes. It is not loosing much water or oil but turbo doesn't seem to spool up. Does this sound like a goosed turbo? Or could it still be head gasket. It ticks over fine just when you rev engine it pushes out White smoke. Plus can anyone give me the co an co2 levels / percentages at different rpm levels? Thanks for reading this any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards Dave

Well I finally bought a deep-dish steering wheel to replace my rather mundane looking Tomei one... Its not fitted yet as the allen key bolt heads in the old wheel are knackered, but I offered it up to the dash - what do you think? I love it :tt1:

I've never had bucket seats in a car before, but I'm teetering on the edge of getting a pair of very nice Bride seats... but they are fixed back. Obviously they can't be reclined or adjusted in the slightest, but I guess they are in the correct position for 'most users' - is that a reasonable way to put it? Has anyone had any fixed back seats before and if so, what did you make to them? thankz guyz :cowboy:
