Hey Folks, For the ones of you that are lucky enough to have garages to keep your cars in; what is the ideal size garage that is needed to fit the car in and also to allow you to get out? The misses and I have been looking at houses and all the garages I have seen have been quite pathetic, probably big enough to get a smart car in and comfortably manage to get out of. Obviously the bigger the better but the minimum comfortably required would be handy :) It seems like the older the house the bigger the garage! Cheers, Dave. Can someone edit the title to something that represents the text please, my laptop had a spazzy 5 mins :)

Not sure if i'm being a bit special but I have tried a search and I can't find the dimensions of the zed; width and length, I would measure mine but it's in the garage having the brakes done. The misses and I are looking to buy our first house together and my only stipulation is a garage large enough for the zed and tools! Looking for LWB size, most garages I have seen have been quite small and as the ones who have met me will know i'm a bit of a big fella so I need to find a garage that I can park the car in and actually get out of :) Cheers in advance, Dave

Due to funds and time the Z is finally back on the road and has now covered its first 100 miles faultlessly (Thank God !) . Thanks everyone for advise that I required at the time, especially "vodkashots" who kindly offered to come and help if I went engine replacement route. Harry (Little REDZED) is so chuffed and will be posting some pics up tomorrow. Long story, but back to title now : Can anyone give me info regarding changing a 1991, jap import, na, manual, to a tt manual. 1/Just wondered if na gearbox could be used or would it be good idea to change engine and box ?(Thinking ratios different and if tt engine upgraded it would probably rip n…

I parked my van infront of your car (as i had a job on the parking site office). It was a G reg, Black import Manual with blacked out fender repeaters and a shiny handbrake and gearknob. You were there around 2pm onwards

Having just bought my first Zed, I'm very happy with it. (Except I've just wrecked two of my tyres from having been a tool and bouncing it into a kerb but that's another story. ) Anyway, I hadn't noticed it before, but at idle there seems to be a very feint tapping noise coming from behind the dash. My heart sunk as I immediately thought, 'bottom end', but I can't hear it from under the bonnet. It is almost unnoticeable and I can't really hear it any better from under the car either. Any of you guys got any idea what it might be? (Please let it be something other than my engine!! :crying: )

Other than the visual differences, are there any dimensional differences? Fancy ditching the steel spare of the LWB for the alloy one of the SWB. Do they secure down ok in the same way as that of the LWB?

I,ve had a go at my pump today after all the warnings about pressurising a blocked off hicas section of the pump , this is what i,ve found . After AndyGP had mentioned about removing vanes i thought i,d best open up the pump and have a look. The pump looks to have two seperate sections that work sepearately from each other , front section powering the steering rack and rear section for the Hicas hence why there is a split feed on top of the pump . It,s just the rear that needs attention , on previous threads it,s been said to remove the spring and valve which i have done , i then removed the backplate exposing the Hicas oil pump . The top plate just lifts of…

Ok , I know what most are going to say,I dont like it too, but here me out!! I dont like a stock rear end and need some sort of rear valance! so i purchased this little number below with the idea of cutting/chopping/adding to make it resemble the beautiful twinz peru rear!! but to be quite honest i cant be arsed now  So... do i splash out and buy the real deal? or have you guys any suggestion of what will look good? I dont really want to spend all that money and buy a twinz and with my car being black i will loose most of the detail. I`ve looked at other diffusers from other cars and thought of smoothing it on this bumper i have at the moment, my mate at the…
