Last week, when it was hot I tried my aircon but it was rubbish, just as I thought it was as I have tried it briefly previously. I said on Friday to my local garage how much for re-gassing, they replied £45.00. I thought that cannot be right too cheap!!!! I went across this morning and as they were not busy they said bring it over, so I did at noon. About 2.30pm I went across to see what was going on and I had R2D2 with a pipe drawing the remnants of the old gas out and then it pumped some fresh in!!!!!! at least I think that's what they said. I didn't know they did it like this, thought you had to buy canisters. I picked the car up at …

My HID's are really dim, infact bloody awful. Its a recent kit so not that old, not that it means much but all the info etc. Basically when i switch them on they do flash quite brightly but then go alot dimmer, which makes driving difficult. Also weirdly, the speedo in the car jumps to 60-80-100mph or something like that when I turn them on, is it possible its an earthing issue? I seem to remember the HID's in my last 300zx were better, also the speedo didnt jump either! But maybe I hav rose tinted glasses as vs my astra or my M3 300zx lights are poor whatever.

Hi, All my car needs now to pass MOT is a headlight bulb....... yes thats right,, Unfortunatly Nationwide Auto centre + Plymouths Nissan main dealership are unable to tell what bulb it needs, they thought it was some super expensive ultra low gas, something or other???? Quoted £95 for the one. But they were wrong. The Headlights dont seem to be modified in any way,( no HID kit/extra wires or anything). Ill pop down to the garage and get a picture to put up. Has anyone else encounterd anything like this???? Please help....... Im so close to being able to drive my 1st Z

It turns out that if I want to put my new wheels on, the centreline is extended by 10mm all round. Is there anything one can do to bring the centreline back in as it should be, or is it just better to get the right frigging offsets!!!

I've installed about 10 CD players in different cars and don't bother with adapters as I'm comfortable with wiring etc. and found a wee alpine CD player as my car had some shoddy Ford Transit-special JVC junk installed. Anyway I had spliced all the wires after cross-referencing and cross checking them and had the CD player sat by the gearstick to test it worked before reassembling etc. The arial shoots up. Hmmmm :helpsmilie: I have a look again to check I haven't done anything dodgy.. I put it into 2nd ign. and hold power down. No joy! I jump down and check the fuse box, nothing gone there, the fuse on the back of the CD player was also fi…

Yep its coming close to the time when I need to say "goodbye" to my 1995 Version S SWB NA man Slicktop. My new slicktop is approaching completion and I cant really justify keeping this one. So today i have been refreshing the back brakes ready for an MOT later in the week hopefully!:innocent: Then it will be time to put up an advert. I bought this car in nov 2007 from the importer in Birmingham. It was a new import in Oct 2007. I am the only UK driver. It was registered in the dealers name then transferred to me. In the past several members expressed an interest in owning this car so now its coming for anyone interested... Advert to follow soon with full sp…

Hi all, I had to break open my wiring loom in the engine bay to trace a short, and found that many of the wires were hardened and cracked. I was replacing a few broken connectors when I discovered that the Det sensor plug (Det sensor side) has only one wire and that the small black wire has snapped or been snipped???, leaving only a small amount of wire left on the plug. Tracing the wire down as far as I could see, I couldn't find any trace of the remains of the wire that should connect to the plug . Does this wire send a negative signal back to the ECU? Is it essential (small black wire), could it of been left like that on purpose? If it does need r…

What does one reckon on the link. Looks a bit pricy, but gives you the option (Loud/not loud). Cheaper than changing the Silencer (Not in my case -- silent that is!!) Would it affect performance that much too worry about http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120571005638&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Getting frigging burnt while fitting the clutch pedal assembly !!. Not to bad to do without removing the dash , just need to remove the lower trim panel and the air ducting under the dash , i had to drop the control unit on the side of the matrix to give a bit more room , if you look up under the dash there is an electrical box of some sort that is bolted into the threaded hole the clutch pedal uses , so drop that out of the way . The clutch pedal ready to go in , took a bit of shoe horning but it went in quite easy ! I cut down the auto brake pedal to the manual size Ftted the master cylinder and re-fitted all the gubbins and bobs ya uncle , q…
