  1. Im sure ive seen somewhere it is possible to fit the 99 spec headlight inserts without removing the headlights. Can anyone confirm this please,as me rushing has chipped one of my spares and think it might be worth just putting them straight on the car headlights??? cheers Craig

What do you guys and gals class as 'overheating'. my Zed under normal road conditions stays below 90 deg C but on the track it does rise to 95 ish, which scares the life out of me especially having a cast iron block and alloy heads which by nature expand at different rates. What does your car run at under 'stress' conditions (giving it welly) and is it modified.

More electrical connectors down by the right hand headlamp. They disappear into the loom and the harness that was plugged into them has been cut. Ive looked on my UK zed and it disappears down by the engine so i cant quite see. Hopefully someone has got their engine out at the moment that can tell me :)

Hi all It would appear that my drivers side window is moving away from the rubbers. The reason for this is that the screw that holds the middle edge of the window into the guide has come out. My question is this. Can you take the little plastic grommet out to screw this back in? If so is it just by using a thin screwdriver. Or do you have to take the whole door panel off from inside the car and do it that way.b anyone else had this? Cheers. Peter.

Hi All, It's been many months since I posted on the forum ..........sorry :blushing: With the help, guidance, encouragement and MIG welder of Ossian I/We have de-rusted and replaced the inner and outer right hand sill sections, inner and outer RH wheelarch and inner and outer RH lower quarter panel. Now to the left hand side of the Zed and I need to remove the fuel tank and filler neck, in order to cut out and replace the rusty sections of the quarter panel. It's too close to the tank and neck to weld with the tank in place, so, what's the procedure for removing the fuel tank and neck? Thanks - Andy

  19. Easy guys Has taken me a while to notice this one. When accelerating on a poor surface I've become aware that somethin is a amiss. The first time it happened I put it down to stiff suspension and a poor road surface but its happened a couple of times since. Not very often - but I generally dont cane it unless on a good road surface anyway. 99% of the time there's no indication of a problem. When it does occur it feels like something isnt meshing correctly, either in the gearbox or the diff - or so I presume. Cant pinpoint it exactly - as I lift off whenever I hear/feel it happening for fear of damaging it further. It happens only briefly for a second or so,…

Ok been busy stripping off parts today and found these 3 connectors down by the HICAS solenoid. They arent there on my UK manual so is it something for a Jap spec or an auto? Second pic is a harness that has been sliced down underneath the PS reservoir which from what i could see was going into the RH headlight. Where is the other end likely to be and has anyone got one of these that i can have? Thanks folks Marty

  23. Hmmm, well i just sorted my dodgy HIDs and then noticed that the left exhaust is smoking slightly. I mean really slightly on idle, hardly noticable, but when revved a bit... hey presto white smoke!!! The smoke dissapates when you take your foot off. what do you think? Turbo seals? or PCV Valves? or have i just got some unburnt fuel in the system as i was revving quite hard to show off my new exhaust to my mate? :blushing: I guess i will give it a bit of a run and see how she goes.
