I came across this site and thought it may be of interest to people? Click on the section in yellow which says 1990-1996 300ZX (Z32) and find the part number you need. Whilst door panel is off Im trying to work out where the metal bar from the drivers side central door locking solenoid goes. its operating when I do the alarm but the metal rod is only attached to the solenoid - cant find anywhere its meant to clip in. anyone got a diagram? Cheers

Hi, I have been looking for a zed since November, seen about 12 scary examples. Also had offer from a Z specialist in Wiltshire who wanted to build me one from several scrapped cars he had, but the price kept going up and up every day, then he changed his mind and wanted to keep the car! Z world were brilliant going through their records and usually advising ‘the engine rebuild’ or ‘turbo work’ or ‘regular servicing’ etc, etc, the seller had claimed wasn’t actually done by them. But at last I have brought one!:clap: It’s a 1990 TT auto. Drove it home 120 miles. It took a couple of hours for the smile to go from my face. What a blast! Mind you I forgot about the overdrive …

Spot quiz. i have 2 axle stands, each say max load 1800 kg are they strong enough to support the front of the car, both side's up. Thx Rich

Anyone know if any Recaro seat covers fit the 300zx seats? - is it worth me buying some that are for example 'A supra' then trying to get them over my seats? - all the ones I find are apparently tailored for individual cars - But they did make Recaros for the 300zx and I can't find the seat covers that would fit them... I have found some Cow print ones though.. if anyone is interested lol any help appreciated - cheerz lads!

Hi Anyone changed their door speakers. Currently got knackered Pioneer TS-1670 (16cm across) Been offered some 16cm JBL628 - actually 6.5" - will these fit without butchering the metal on the door? Looking at it a 17cm speaker (6.5in) will not fit into the metal casing. Anyone retrofitted a good speaker in the door without cutting it up. Cheers

hello every1, just a question to see what people think, i have fitted a couple of sets of turbos to zeds with engines in, but everywhere i read they say the drivers side is almost impossible, but i remove the steering bar and master cylinder and i find it fiddly but not that bad, i find the passanger side is worse i have to undo 4 bolts on turbo housing which allows half the turbo to spin round so i can get to the manifold bolts and i drop the turbo and the manifold together, a lot of people say you shouldnt do it with the engine in the car, but in the manual im sure it says to remove them with the engine in the car, i may be wrong though,…

i've fitted tt injectors to my na zed and it wont run. its starts, idles and revs on an standard tt chip but not on the uprated chip, i've used 2 different chips and nothing, the ecu is fine and have checked the loom and cant find any falts. Run a diagnostics with the standard chip and it came up with 55 which as far as i know is no falt found but with the uprated chip the light comes on and stays on, doesnt flash at all. if anyone knows what the problem is or could be please let me know because im all out of ideas on this one! :helpsmilie:

Ive started working on my spare engine in the garage and started stripping the front end. I have one problem! the two water pipes, i got the top one off that contains the sensors no problem, but the bottom water pipe has 2 nuts and 1 hex bolt. I got the nuts off but it looks like the hexbolt has been stripped at some point, i dont mean the thread, its the hex head where you insert the tool. Now i cant get the other top timing belt cover off, cos the pipe is in the way. And space is tight for getting anything i have to normally remove stripped heads. Has anyone come across this before or have any ideas to get the hex bolt out. Cheers Graham

Hi all, just wondering if recaro sub frames are available for the 300zx. I have a lovely set of speeds in my current car (which I managed to purchase original sub frames for after allot of hard work) . I’m looking at a short wheel base with cloth interior and think the Recaros would be a great upgrade. :cool3:

Guys I am removing my wing mirrors later today, is there a join in the electrical supply in the door panel that I can disconnect, or does it go furhter back under the dash? cheerz H.

Hi guys, I am thinking of changing the centre section (spokes) from silver to black, leaving the bolts silver and the outer dish as it is... Wheels are due a refurb just not sure which way to go. This pic, wheel wise etc is what I was hoping to achieve. T bar sections are being painted black, along with wing mirrors.... What do you think leave it alone or go for it? H.

How much do they go for these days?. i.e. the 3 point ones to replace the lap belts. I'm trying to pick some up for a mate but seen some on ebay with a big difference in price.

ive purshased Drift Iridium 52mm Turbo Boost Gauge. its come to wiring into the ignition barrel, or thats what it says on the instruction. but i dont no which cable it is on the ignition. anybody have an idea? cheers guys

Went to work this morning and the zed went into high revs(1200)on idle even died out a few times did a search on here and the yellow temperture sensor kept croping up so pulled the connecter and the metal connections were green so cleaned them started the zed and yes its running like a mouse chewing paper:clap: revs back down to 750 and pulling strong. I love these cars who said they are hard to work at. So remember high revs clean contacts on yellow temperture sensor

Can anyone recommend a good on line supplier of bolts, etc...? I'm after a couple of M12x1.25 about 60 or 70mm long. All I can find is wheel nuts :sailor:

does the center mitsubsihi emblem on the CAS spin? & if so does it still spin when cranking over?

Just wondered how many, if any, Zeds live in your town? I live in Basingstoke, and I can honestly say that in my 4.5 years in this town, I have seen ONE other Z32 apart from mine. You could take the p*ss and say "well, that's Basingstoke!", but I have seen at least 5 different GT-Rs, a few Ferraris, Astons and Maseratis, not to mention numerous 350Zs, 200SXs, R33s etc. Just strange that never any Z32s...

Weird one this I think chaps. My car is idling at about 2k revs from cold, is this normal? Main reason for this is, I'm out in my car now and when I'm putting the air con to have any kind of heat in it, its just stinking the car out. Any thoughts guys?

Seen a Black 300zx Import 11am today (14/05) Reg was H79? ??? Heading towards the A35 Southbound off of the M5 Junction 13.

Just a quicky i have removed so many wires getting a bit bogged down, i have 2 audio cables from head unit do they go into out conn or in conn on the back of amp??

I have a e36 323 touring now and its a really nice car but really miss driving the zed around, I have owned 3 now and still nothing compares to them, cant wait to get back on my feet again, I will be getting my fourth lol

..please could you guys leave me some links to companys selling 18" deep dish alloys? I've never had to hunt for new alloys before and wouldn't know where to start looking for alloys for the Z, also really busy in work and not getting the time to search at home so thought you guys would possibley help me out :tongue_smilie: The wheels on my car at the mo may be going to a new home on Sunday so need to find a set rather quick!
