Hi Guys, in the picture below, it shows the Starter motor with the hole's misaligned due to the fixing coming loose. The epc shows a bolt, M10x30, What i need to know is, 1,.does a bolt go there or have i lost a stud and nut, and 2 is the other fixing (not shown ) which is above a stud + nut or bolt. It might mean getting down and dirty, but i'd appreciate it. Thanks

  4. Hi if drilled and grooved break disks were not fitted to the car as standard is it legal to fit them for use on the road in the UK? I am sure people do but I want to be legal, the last thing I need is the cops on my case.

Hi there all, I know its not a Z32 but it's the older brother of ours. Having not seen another 300ZX out here apart from Jonce I nearly fell of my bike when this shot past me. It belongs to one of the German civvie guys that work in my hanger, he don't drive it much as he cant easily get parts or people to work on it (sound familiar). Enjoy, Rob

A very lucky fellow zedder today, on route to catch a ferry to Calais and a long drive ahead to Luxemburg and onto Serbia found the following horrific fracture in his near side rear wheel when checking tyre pressures during the first leg of his journey. The damage is completely through the spoke and meant the centre and outer rim have become a seperate item at that point, a shame I could not catch it with the camera but when the wheel was held up you could see light right through the fracture! A quick detour and we sorted him with a replacement wheel for his journey, and when talking with him he remembered a water filled pothole a day or so a…

Hi everyone, ive only been out for a couple of drives in my new 300zx and it is incredible. I love it! However, the boost gauge goes from -7 to +7 but when i put my foot down it doesnt go above about +5? when its idling it is at -7 which i no is normal, but i no there has been a lot of chat on here about safety boost and im guessing thats what it is. So long story short, how do i get the safety off! thank you all in advance, from the knightrider zed.

  16. Just saw these, originally cost £2400! on ebay now http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/nissan-300zx-real-carbon-fibre-doors-swb-1989-onwards-/150441450446?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2307025bce (Items nothing to do with me, just thought someone on here might be interested?) Must be the perfect way to loose several kgs for all you interested in weight reduction. A hefty price tag but unique none the less. H.

Hi all, Just after a little advice; my cars at Zedworld for it's MOT and a couple of other bits... It failed the MOT on movement in the upper Arms (already adjustable fitted by Previous owner) on the Front . Jamie has looked and basically they can't be tightened anymore so need replacing. For MOT purposes we're replacing with a stock item but obviously long term I need to replace with another decent adjustable set... I've looked at both Driftworks and the Zed centre sets and both look like they'ed do the job... question is does anyone have any experience with either make or can someone recommend a decent alternative?? Cheers in advance Pa…

  19. Started by BigDaveZX,

Good afternoon! I have noticed that I am getting a fair bit of judder when braking and that I get squealing when braking from low speed. The brake setup is from the Silver streak (R33) and the discs and pads were replaced about two years ago. There doesnt appear to be many miles put on the car since they were replaced but I dont know how they were treated when they were on the car. My local garage has suggested that the discs are slightly warped hense the judder but I was wondering before I start outlaying more money if theres anything else that could cause these issues? Many Thanks as always! Dave.

  22. Started by Sir Charles,

I removed a head unit that used up both DIN slots and replaced with a more up to date single DIN head unit. As a result I now have a big gaping hole. Now I know I can use a standard storage tray but what other options are out there? I don't need any gauges as I have boost, oil temp and oil pressure on my pillar. Where is the best price for a storage tray and what are the other options available to me?

Hi my name's Pez, I've been a forum member for a while, though have been really busy with work so not been able to post much unfortunately. I bought my 'Z' off Matt (Exeter) back in '07; for those that knew it back then it was a tidy example of a '91 TT manual, relatively stock apart from a HKS Super Dragger exhaust, Apexi induction kit, KYB shocks and a 99 spec rear spoiler. (I actually stumbled on an old thread of his; would have been about the time he sold it to me, he then went off and bought himself a big old American fuel gussler van) It was decent enough but eventually I tired of the lardy arseness of a stock 'Z' and decided that it was nowhere near en…

Hi All, Bit of advise please.Bought NISSAN 300ZX ALUMINIUM LIGHTWEIGHT ENGINE CRANK PULLEY . Havn't unpacked as when comparing with the one taken off it has smaller diameter the one taken off measures 168mm to outer edge on large side and 118mm on small, where the new one is 135mm and 88mm. Just wondered as its driving alternator and water pump what effect it will have on them and whether I'll have to source smaller belts ? Any advise really appreciated. (Also recommended transmission fluid for TT manual with oil cooler ? 75W90??)

hi . can anyone tell me if the black strip under stock spoiler is perspex or is it just a sticker . my spoiler is not the stock foam jobby but the plastic version with the brake light in that matches original . would the black strip fit this without being modded or is there a slight difference with the shaping.
