Well almost 4 years after Yaseen left his damaged slicktop TT shell at my place it fired up in its new NA guise. Only on 3/4 cylinders cos it still has the same petrol in it! And the engine fitted at the moment has been sitting around as long or longer than the car, much of the time outside. However it was a happy moment and Im sure some new fresh petrol , plug clean and a check on some (probably green ) injector connectors will have it up on 6 cylinders. The engine itself was fully 100% OK and tested before I removed it from its last shell all those years ago. Woohoo!!:nana2::nana2:

had loads of issues with this car with bad workmanship etc when i got my car back i had boost leaks galore, sorted most out now but need to doa proper boost leak test and find out where the remainng ones are theres gotta be more lol. anyways the car since this has developed an odd problem on full boost it chucks out smoke, and makes a hmm/ screech noise. cant decide wether it sounds like air or metal. saving up atm to pop the car upto zed world for a proper health check. its an auto. it has been suggested that my rockers become pressurized under boost and spray out a little oil. it doesnt really seem to come from the exhaust. and after a spirted long drive i get smoke at …

Hi all! Some of you may remember me from some time ago (particularly zx-eyes.. he took me out for a spin in his car!).. Basically, I joined up because I wanted a 300zx in the future, but I'm now in the situation where I can realistically afford one. It's on my list amongst other cars.. I'd be looking for a UK (due to insurance) 300zx twin turbo manual. I have about £5-6k to spend which I think would get me a nice one with money to spare.. Anyone fancy taking me for a spin again to sway me towards the 300zx!? :D

Hi all, I need some help if possible. Last night I noticed the pipe in the below picture seems to have snapped off front the 'T' piece. It doesn't actually seem to have any air or anything there though and the car seems to be ruuning fine. It is on the offside of the engine bay. One of the pipes it connects to via the 'T' piece goed the the front of the car and disappears down underneath the Hard pipes. The bit that has came loose appears to go around the back of the engine and then drops down next the the battery and looks to go close to the near side turbo. Any ideas anyone? and here is where it goes dow…

I’m in the process of fitting the Powertrix adjustable rear Camber and traction arms to my Z32 TT (LWB), however I’m having a bit of trouble. Can anyone answer the following questions for me please? 1. To adjust them so that they are the same length as OEM do I wind them right in? i.e. set them to their shortest throw. 2. While the bearing side is a nice fit the hub side seems quite slack :confused1:. When the bolts are tightened the sides of the arms are pulled in. Is it supposed to be like that? (FYI the hub carrier has Energy Suspension bushes fitted) 3. With the exception of the OEM camber adjustment bolt, all the OEM bolts are too short. Is this correct? and…

Hi I was trying to hook up my conzult today, but seem to be having problems with the connection. Red and green lights on the box on hte fly lead work as they should, but I get no reading on hte conzult screen. It read ECU not found in one field. I am running this through a USB to serial convertor which I know usually works fine on my lappy. Do I need to change anything in the com port properties field ie. baud rate, x flow etc to make it work? Or is it not compatible with any USB convertor and I just have to find an old PC with a dedicated serial port? cheers H

Does anyone have a set of decent OEM front springs/coils for sale? Alternatively, something SLIGHTLY lower would also be fine. They're for an NA. Thanks.

Usually buy them from a Nissan dealer, but found this on eurocarparts: http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Nissan_300+Series_300ZX_3.0_1991/p/Car-Parts/Service-Parts/Regular-Service/Oil-Filters/?50170002J&1&c08f8b179a2a5817207c743b7793c307942e806f&OILF Any good and has anyone tried them? Looks stupidly cheap.

The windscreen and rooftop trim on the drivers side of my slicktop is missing. From what Mike Feeney has told me they are a real pain in the ar$e to get delivered undamaged. Does anybody know if there are other options to using the OEM trim? Did I read in a post a long time ago that Legrath did something different with his? I'm interested to find out what other options there are, if any, and pics would be great. (Didn't know whether to put the query in this section or help and advise. If its wrong mod's - don't hesitate in changing it)

since putting my car back on the road (approx 2 months ago) i looked nder her last week when changing the exhaust and i noticed a lot of gearbox oil splattered along the exhaust. now what i did was to clean it up to try and see where its leaking from. i have run it this week and today decided to get her up in the air to investigate further, after removing exhaust, prop and lowering the gearbox down at the back again! it looks as if the oil is leaking from the breather WHY? don't think i have overfilled it and the oil seems to be level/ marginly below the filler point. now i know oil goes a long way so its probably only an egg cup full which has leaked but its e…

i had a search and i know alot of people chrome the headlight inserts, but could they be painted any colour and still be legal? i was just thinking of either spraying mine matt black as i don't like the faded grey look, or maybe red to match the rest of the car?
