i know what the units are but have no idea how they work top one is a boost controller bottom one is turbo timer i think but not sure how they work boost cont i'm not touching but turbo timer cant find detail as everything on unit is in japanese

Hi everyone, anyone on here down at goodwood today for supercar madness? there was about 4 incredible 300zx's in the paddock. couldnt manage to find any owners though.

Sorry it has been a while since my last post,:blink: I have been busy cutting out rusty sills and floors etc'. However, It's been the best part of 2 years now so I thought I would run the engine for the first time. (I have been turning her over periodically) She fired up first time!!:clap: slightly noisy on 1 or 2 tappets but no major issues. My question is, What readings should I be seeing on the boost gauge? I have only revved her a little once warmed up and the needle just sits there just to the right of centre, Is that normal or do I have a problem? Thanks in advance, Redwine300

Been working on the LED conversion for the rear lights over the weekend and before I go any further with it I need some opinions on what would look best on the radius part of the light segments. TYPE1 TYPE2 What do you think?

Argh, why do I do it, whenever I change something on a 300 it causes me more hassle than its really worth. I upgraded my Brembos to K-sport 8 pots; originally the car had D2 8 pot on it which I thought were the same caliper so shouldnt be an issue. The car had a 15mm spacers on the front which just cleared the D2 setup before it was replaced with the Brembo's. When I had the K-sport setup installed I couldnt get away with using 15mm or 20mm I had to go straight to 25mm Hubcentric spacers (for some reason the caliper required an extra Cm over the D2 setup!). It now looks like the wheels rub on the inner linings and on he arch when turning and going over bumps. Wh…

Driving back home today, and a well tuned pulsar joins the game. The lads look at me, and smile, here we go, i think. Dont mind if i do, well it is a Nissan. Then WHAM....... He is off, popping and flames from the exhausts, i can keep up, but only just. after a few miles of very aggressive driving, we manage to slow down to an acceptible level, have a little chat, turns out he is running 400bhp +. Ive been up againest a standard one before and had no problems, but this thing was brutal, very very quick indeed. Hats off to you bud, atleast if wasnt a poxy scooby..............

I drove up to assist Mark today on his zed, managed to sort a few things, and get her working better, but still couldnt locate the boost issue. While we had two zeds together, rude not get another, so a quick call to Baz (sonic) and 10 mins later we were now 3. Nice to meet you mark, and cheers for the tea. Afternoon all, I have been contimplating today after much deliberating why zed's. Even though highly modified still have relatively poor 0-60 times on average? Does anyone know, or heard of 0-60 times under 5 seconds at all? And what were the mods done to achieve thes figures? Regards Kash

it was in a very poor state and didnt have any sills really!! on the m6 on a trailer 2 weeks ago

Can anyone reccomend door speakers that will deliver a good clean sound, i.e not to much bass, but plenty of treble, also will 6.5 speakers fit without modification? Cheerz Chris

Hi, Went out in the zed this morn and turned the fans to demist the front screen and heard a click click noise. Now when i try putting the blowers on the feet or face, nothing happens.. Basically its stuck on the screen Either something snapped or whatever mechanism operates the blower direction has failed. Is there an easy way to get to it? Like take the centre panel off? Cheers

Ive just removed my plenum and I want to replace as much hose as possible, anything that I can reach. What sizes would I need and how many meters. Also is power steering fluid like oil, in that I need hose suitable for oil.

i have this problem with the left hand cluster it works when it wants too ive checked the fuses but they ok has anyone had a similar problem ?any advise would be appreciated

Ok. I just wanted to share this with you before I'll do it! I will have my zed resprayed. Same colour. The spoiler will be changed with Japslapper's carbon fibre wing. The bonnet will be carbon fibre. Vented. Not sure but I think driftworks.. The wheels...Shall I keep them as they are or to get them refurbished with the center bit to look like carbon fibre effect? That's it for now... Thanks for reading and any sugestion welcome!

Had a bit of a clunk for a few months on my z31 and I reckoned it was a knackered strut, it wasn't getting much use until the past few weeks so I just put in to the garage today to get checked out. Turns out the strut is fine, the clunk was actually due to my rear nearside spring going THROUGH my rear wishbone arm!! Its currently millimeters away from striking the driveshaft...to think I was doing ***mph in it last weekend on a coastal road trip and was due to go a 200 mile road trip to a classic car show this Sunday :ohmy: Phoned Nissan for a laugh to price up a new arm and they wanted £700+ and a months wait to get it on back order :laugh: so I phoned a few br…

Im starting to get excited, my zed is all mapped and running 100% fine. They have done the initial set up sorted a few minor issues out and she is puring like a baby now!. :closedeyes: Going on the rolling road tommorow then they will make sure everything else is ok and modify the exhaust and do a few other bits I asked them to. Fingers crossed she might be on the road by next week some time. :ohmy: After all this time doing it and now im getting so close to drive her. How exciting!!! show time...

Does anyone have a pic of red brembo calipers with the brembo lettering in black? I'm about to get some painted up and though white is the usual colour for the lettering I'm hoping to keep with a black/red theme throughout but not sure if it will look as good/standout clearly.... Also figured the white lettering would probably look brown before too long without regular polishing up... Thanks guys!
