Well guys I have just been reading an article tonight about the street racer who was the inspiration for the story which became The Fast and the Furious.

 

Well have a guess what car he used to race . . . . . . . . . ?

 

Yep boys and girls, a starion initially and then a 1990 300zx twin turbo !!!!!! When racing, he used to give other cars advantages (car lenghts) and still beat them over a mile.

Good find mate, that's quite an interesting read.

 

Who would have thought that the guy who inspired the character of Toretto (played by Vin Diesel) was actually a Kwik Fit tyre fitter from Dagenham called John......amazing stuff :whistling:

 

Lost his first race though :no: ......that'll teach him for taking his car to get set up by a specialist working from a barn just outside Swindon!

It also says about it being a 300zx in the original DVD extra stuff
