Hi guys...as you may have seen on my other thread my flat was burgled last night. Luckily they didn't get the car but they did get both sets of my original titanium keys and alarm fobs! My question is....does anyone know if there's any restrictions in terms of getting my locks changed?? I have absolutely no idea about the locks and ignition and not sure how easy it would be to change and get some replacement titaniums keys??? Any advice at all would be most welcome! Just so busy trying to sort my life out after all this....:mad2:

Hi guys, i just got myself a beast of a zed, its immense. But i was after some insight on the lights on the dash. Its got a switch on the right cluster im thinking thats for a rear fog that i dont have. When i drive its got HICAS illuminated, does that mean its on and working or does it need attention. When i turn ignition on i get a gearbox light with check through it, does that mean, check it or it needs to be checked. And what do the 2 buttons next to off on the air con part do? Thanks guys Mark

Hello everyone, I haven't been on here in an age! I'm a student now and as a result I've gotta sell the beast  It's a 1995 N/A manual with 86000 miles on the clock, new cambelt and clutch last year, going for £2500. I put it on autotrader and I have not had 1 phone call or email. Have I overpriced it? Not even getting a peep should tell me I have, but I bought it for £3K, surely it's not dropped in value that much? Any help on the valuation would be much appreciated!

Went to zedworld yesterday to fit my Apexi Avc-R and i must say, it was my second time going there ( the first being chip and boost jets) and i couldnt leave happier than i did !:D First of all when me and my son got there, first thing Lynda did was ask if we wanted a cup of tea , then as it was raining Jamie was a top guy and drove us to a nice local pub as we waited and also offered to pick us up when the car was ready. Then after about 3 hours the car was ready i thought it would've taken longer as Jeff seemed really busy.He did a really good job setting it all up and explaining things properly ,not to mention the price i payed was really really cheap ! i kept on havin…

Helllo dear Zed Heds, Guys, I need some advice on this please, i did some burnouts and doughnuts today. Then afterwards the car was feeling a bit funny, the revs were a bit too high. Within ten minutes the car stalled. I couldnt get it starting again. I tried starting without the fuel pump fuse, didnt work. found out that although the fuel pump is working (not very well though), there is no fuel passing through to the filter. Can anyone please give suggestion on what could be the problem apart from the fuel pump. Until today i had no problems. Thanks guyyysss, Vic

hi, I've got a hunch, but i need some advise first, what are the symptoms of a bad valve seal? and of a bad turbo seal? and what are the chances of a well maintained Z, having a worn piston ring at 60000KM? i started to change my turbos and suddenly had a thought... i lost 1 cylinder as it started to smoke, with no warning, didn't seem like an electrical fault, plugs, and coil good, cylinder getting fuel. i has thinking if i remove my cylinder heads, (engine is ready to come out of my Zed) is there a way of telling, (was going to do my HG at the same time)

Well, started at 11am today washing the car, then used the meguiars set i purchased with vouchers i recieved last year for halfords. So the car recieved a top clean with every part of the car being worked on with the clay bar, then i waxed the car after using the meguiars wax to try and seal in all the hard work i done, took me around 4 hours, then i fitted the alloys aswell. The clay bar is fantastic!! Alot of hard work to do the full car but i was so happy with the results so my beaming red face dripping with sweat under the hot sun was smiling from ear to ear. Removed all the small tar marks hard worked in grit etc, so i fully recommend the meguiars clay bar …

I noticed the other day coming home from work, ambient temp around 22 degrees the car would not hit max boost, however today the car was fine with temps being lower. Now I know there is a minimum limit for safety boost but is there a maximum temp? The car is not overheating or encoutering any other problems. Standard jap auto no mods other than zorst and airfilters.

Hi Jeff, having read your informative post on the plenum water bypass for A tt, you said you would get some pics up of the N/A plenum bypass, mainly the water pipes at the rear of the engine, do you still have some pics and if so can you post them up. Much appreciated Graham

Hi John, Hope you have had a relaxing holiday. After speaking with you about my zed. Which has a one of your chips in it programmed for 555cc injectors. I have had the car on rolling road and she was pushing 400bhp to the floor. 500 to the fly. With the apexi set at 0.7 bar boost. The guys at the rolling road have told me the car could handle alot more with a standalone or a better chip to handle ignition timing etc. The engineer who built the car has told me the turbos can handle 600bhp to the floor. I have sent the car to him for its yearly check-up and was hoping to speak with you. Could you sell me a chip to handle 500bhp to the floor.(ie; replace y…

So I bought a set of UK clocks off eBay and I fitted them to my car last night.......... The speedo sat at 20 MPH while the car wasn't moving and the rev' counter was wound all the way round to 9k and stayed there. The other guages seemed to work fine. Is this a known issue with fitting UK clocks to a JDM car and is there a workaround or are the clocks just stuffed? TIA

Oddly have seen a rise in badly fitted crankshaft spigot bushes on manual engines, if not completely flush with the crank face the gearbox input shaft batters the bush to the point it starts to break up, as you can see in the photo's the bush wear/ damage can lead to gearbox input shaft excessive movement which potentially can lead to noisy operation, vibration and at worse clutch or even gearbox damage, ignore the oily mess of the engine in the pics, was duff anyhow. Mad this part which cost just a couple of pounds can cause so many issues if not fitted correctly, just a heads up for you. Jeff TT

I`ve been having a swap around as i need to do some work on the z31, so my silver TT is off to live in my nans garage for a while, so i though as the sun is out i would take some snaps of them all (first time they have all been together), The z31 hadn`t been started for about 8/9 months, so i charged the battery and it started on the button, not even a splutter or a moments hesitation, No rattles, no smoke, just perfect!!! what a car!! feels like a bus comparied to the z32`s though, still pulls like a train aswell Hope you like :cool3:

Well, got my Blitz valves and hard pipes on. Blocked the pipes as you do with my home made bungs. Well went up the road and all was good then the car wouldn't go into positive boost. It spluttered cut out and i limped back home. It was over fueling and smoking like mad:taz: I then took my front cover off to find that i had blew one of the bungs out (the large pipes) the ones with the positive pressure. Im stuck in germany and i think i can get some plumbers end caps like some of the lads on here but how do you stopped then flying off as its a large rubber pipe. Just wondering. I know i may be in for a few running issues...so im prepared for the worst. Also on…

HI all, I've been looking at drop links on eBay and came across these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-300ZX-Z32-90-94-FRONT-STABILIZER-DROP-LINK-BAR-2-/260591559843?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3cac77a4a3 Just wondered if they'd fit my 1995 J-spec N/A auto? Says 90-94 on the ad but i thought it'd be the same for a 300zx models? Also, is this a good price for front drop links? Cheers Peter
