ive played about with nmy cruise controkl a few times and it doesnt seem to do very much? i press the buttona green light comes on press set and take my foot of it just starts to slow down? have i missed summin or is it just buggered?

hi my z has a gurgling noise coming from front left wing, cant figure out what it is? could it be the air con as its not working? also my power steering comes on then goes off at times? any solution on that as well?? thanks

the leak seams to be coming from the passenger side once engine is hot it hisses and spits on the the manifold or gearbox and then i get steam coming from gearbox.

what kind of mpg would i probably be looking at on a long motorway journey avraging 80mph?? Were off to spain:w00t: Paul.

before i start sorry for the the repost i have searched and well its all goes over my head my car was auto now converted to manual has a blitz ecu induction filter full s/steel exhaust with divorce wastgates my settings are hi gain 20% set gain 65 warning 155 warning L 20% LO gain 18% set gain 48 warning 130 warning L20% are these setting ok

Will soon be sticking glossy black vinyl on my roof bars to see how good it looks and also hopefully as a quick alternative to painting them (thank Wooly). Anyone tried this before and do you have any tips? How did you handle the rubber strips that are on the windscreen side, as well as both ends of the central T-bar? Thanks.

Does anyone have a photo of how the inside of the boot looks, showing the spare wheel, jack etc? I'm sure my bits and pieces are not in the right place. Also, does anyone have a photo of how the targa panels sit in the boot? I assume that they are supposed to overlap each other, but is that safe or could it damage/deform the panels? Thanks.

found these teeny teeth when I changed my gearbox oil: haven't been able to locate any pics of z32 gears so not sure what they belong to but have a constant barely audible scraping noise in 2nd and 4th, any ideas?

Whats the best way to repaint the trim strips around targas , roof and doors. Some ones had a go and made a right mess. Can they be removed or do i have to do them in situ. cheers

Big thanks to zedworld for sorting me out with a fresh engine :clap::clap: also for sorting the boost leak out I didn't even know about and sussing that my ecu chip was too lean which am guessing led to my dead engine. Only problem I have now is the exhaust is smoking when I back off the throttle which I'm guessing worn turbo seals, can't seem to see any when it's on boost so don't think it could be pcv valves?(got my fingers crossed though!) it was fine before the engine died but don't think the old engine made enough oil pressure to get the oil past the seals. Jeff mentioned there was oil in the pipework but surely this should have cleared up after a 200mile d…

To fit the newer type injectors into an older type car do I just need a newer type fuel rail or is there anything else required.

Well after spending all day a few weeks ago sorting out insurance for both the Z and the Civic and saving £300, the Z flew through the MOT (thanks Jeff) just advisory on the sills, and the interior's nearly all back in after the messing about I did trying to do it myself and then speaking to trimmers and trying to get the best quality job. I really ought to spend some time just driving and enjoying it, but I'm already thinking about the next things to do: deffo want to get 99-spec rear lights and reflectors. oh and I need to get my fog-light ducts painted and fitted. and my one-piece prop installed. and... ...just got to put some V-Power in and dilute it back up beca…

Hi guys...as you may have seen on my other thread my flat was burgled last night. Luckily they didn't get the car but they did get both sets of my original titanium keys and alarm fobs! My question is....does anyone know if there's any restrictions in terms of getting my locks changed?? I have absolutely no idea about the locks and ignition and not sure how easy it would be to change and get some replacement titaniums keys??? Any advice at all would be most welcome! Just so busy trying to sort my life out after all this....:mad2:

Hi guys, i just got myself a beast of a zed, its immense. But i was after some insight on the lights on the dash. Its got a switch on the right cluster im thinking thats for a rear fog that i dont have. When i drive its got HICAS illuminated, does that mean its on and working or does it need attention. When i turn ignition on i get a gearbox light with check through it, does that mean, check it or it needs to be checked. And what do the 2 buttons next to off on the air con part do? Hello everyone, I haven't been on here in an age! I'm a student now and as a result I've gotta sell the beast :no: It's a 1995 N/A manual with 86000 miles on the clock, new cambelt and clutch last year, going for £2500. I put it on autotrader and I have not had 1 phone call or email. Have I overpriced it? Not even getting a peep should tell me I have, but I bought it for £3K, surely it's not dropped in value that much? Any help on the valuation would be much appreciated! :thumbup:

Went to zedworld yesterday to fit my Apexi Avc-R and i must say, it was my second time going there ( the first being chip and boost jets) and i couldnt leave happier than i did !:D First of all when me and my son got there, first thing Lynda did was ask if we wanted a cup of tea , then as it was raining Jamie was a top guy and drove us to a nice local pub as we waited and also offered to pick us up when the car was ready. Then after about 3 hours the car was ready i thought it would've taken longer as Jeff seemed really busy.He did a really good job setting it all up and explaining things properly ,not to mention the price i payed was really really cheap ! i kept on havin…

Helllo dear Zed Heds, Guys, I need some advice on this please, i did some burnouts and doughnuts today. Then afterwards the car was feeling a bit funny, the revs were a bit too high. Within ten minutes the car stalled. I couldnt get it starting again. I tried starting without the fuel pump fuse, didnt work. found out that although the fuel pump is working (not very well though), there is no fuel passing through to the filter. Can anyone please give suggestion on what could be the problem apart from the fuel pump. Until today i had no problems. Thanks guyyysss, Vic

hi, I've got a hunch, but i need some advise first, what are the symptoms of a bad valve seal? and of a bad turbo seal? and what are the chances of a well maintained Z, having a worn piston ring at 60000KM? i started to change my turbos and suddenly had a thought... i lost 1 cylinder as it started to smoke, with no warning, didn't seem like an electrical fault, plugs, and coil good, cylinder getting fuel. i has thinking if i remove my cylinder heads, (engine is ready to come out of my Zed) is there a way of telling, (was going to do my HG at the same time)

Well, started at 11am today washing the car, then used the meguiars set i purchased with vouchers i recieved last year for halfords. So the car recieved a top clean with every part of the car being worked on with the clay bar, then i waxed the car after using the meguiars wax to try and seal in all the hard work i done, took me around 4 hours, then i fitted the alloys aswell. The clay bar is fantastic!! Alot of hard work to do the full car but i was so happy with the results so my beaming red face dripping with sweat under the hot sun was smiling from ear to ear. Removed all the small tar marks hard worked in grit etc, so i fully recommend the meguiars clay bar …
