HI All, Just got my car back from the Bodyshop and they've managed to break one of the dipped beam headlight bulbs :( My car is a J-Spec 1995 N/A. What i need to know is if i can get a Bulb from either Halfords or Motorworld as they are both local. I need one ASAP in case i get pulled by the fuzz. Any codes for the bulb would also be helpful. On a longer term note, i want some HID bulbs for the car since i now have ultra bright LED sidelights and they make the yellowy headlights look out of place. I know there are lots of varieties out there with different brightnesses and stuff and i haven't really a clue. What i want is some resonably priced…

Well, my work takes me down to Portsmouth for the next 6 weeks, however, getting all my stuff down there in 1 trip is going to prove prove problematic! I always forget how much stuff I have!! I need tools, 2 weeks worth of clothing, toiletries, bedding and all that, but i also REALLY want to take my playstation and 40" tv.. which i've measured and it will fit in the back! :D im just in the process of washing everything and then by tonight i'll know if my crazy wish will come true or not... also while im on the subject of portsmouth, Anyone from around there on here? it'll be nice to see some fellow owners whilst im down there! hi a replaced the heater matrix the other week and all is going well apart from i think i have put the spring in the wrong place. the pic is quite hard to see but this is from the tech guide and i cannot quite see where it goes back on. (stupid me didnt check before taking off:wacko:) anyway anybody have a decent pic that could help me out please

Whats the best thing to stick the buggers back onto the car with? was toying with the idea of doing the bath trick, but before i strip my car of them, need to know the best way of sticking them back on, last thing i want to do is create more leaks, i only have 2 so feel lucky lol

So Fu45ing Pi55ed off i have been waiting for 2 weeks for a simple drill piece to arrive in the post, i have put off work on my car every weekend due to this sh1t postage system we have, i have bought 2 drill bits hoping the other would arrive on time, BUT NOPE, im still waiting, i have visited the post office etc etc. P1ss take, Anyone have this size drill bit they can lend me in the essex area?

hey everyone about half an hour ago on my way home from my gf's my clutch had gone, as i came down the road it made a funny noise like a noisy pulley ? then it felt like the car was driving weird like pulling on its own, as i pulled over put my hazards on the clutch stayed where it was and i struggled to get it out of gear. i called my dad who was a mecanic for 20 years to help luckily i was only down the road, and he managed to get it back on the drive. im so gutted my clutch has gone, i know its gonna cost houndreds my dads gonna look at it tomorrow for me. feels liek something always goes wrong for me :(

And the exchange rate is good - so I go to order.. Veilside USA has shut down!! Only 2 months ago I could've got the last one but didn't have the do-ray-me. Utterly gutted, it's now going to be impossible to get hold of one for any amount of cash and no companies in the uk seem prepared to make me a custom spoiler :no:

As some of your may know ive been restoring and modifying the Zed for about 3 years now and a lot has been done i cant imagine how many hours has been spent working on the car making sure everything is done at its best. The car still seems like it needs alot of work to be complete but im finding it hard to find the time and enthusiasm to work on it lately. The single most annoying 'feature' is that it always, but always takes 2 times to start. In cold weather this can drop to around 10 times or more. ok yesterday i thought i would check to see if my car is burning oil. the dipstick was really hard to get in and out of tube which was odd but it bone dry................. so then i panicked that my car suddenly ate all its oil. Well today i filled up around 4 litres of oil and the dipstick was still dry. gently took car around corner to warm it up and it was still dry noticed oil dripping out underneath car so i think i have overfilled car and dipstick pipe is broken as it wobbles a bit. i am a bit happier that i could have not burned much oil previously but obviously i need to re fit dipstick tube and drain all the oil. Just had a thought here - people say the stock ecu compensates for higher than usual boost by overfuelling. So why not use it instead of going the tuned route? I was just considering having my DFCO disabled and having the map made slightly richer to get some nice pops/bangs at lower revs on let off, but suddenly realised - perhaps upping the boost on a stock ECU would give the same result? I have decats and straight through exhaust and bov-less so it's set-up otherwise to make some nice flames/pops but it's completely pop-less :(

I must have a fuel leak somewhere. I can only smell it when the engine's running and the car's stationary, i.e. while driving through towns etc. Had a mechanic look around and he reckoned there'd been a lose pipe which he tightened up under the rear end of the car but it's still there. Any ideas?

trying to get my headlights out to clean the lenses and also get a dead spider carcass out of the housing, also going to be fitting some angel eyes. But i can not access two bolts, You know the one's I'm on about, drivers side rear left (as looking at it from in front of the car) and passenger side rear right. for love nor money i can not get to these bolts, i have followed guides that say to remove the Recirc valves and the throttle body pipes, but my bolts are just too stuck, i even tried using a breaker bar and had no joy in getting them to budge, i can get a spanner on them, but then i have no room for leverage. Maybe its just me... but I;m puzzled by the attraction of joining a group buy for a short shifter at £40 whan you can buy one any day of the week from 800BHP power seller on Ebay for £33 ???? At the end of the day they are all the same and are mass produced in Taiwan or one of its neighbours.

On a bootlid that wasn't designed for a perspex strip the are 4 mounting holes that havent been drilled, is it the done thing to drill these out or am i missing something silly?

I have a DVD head unit from my old car, works fine but when wired into the zed it wont remember the settings or stations, does anybody know which wire is for the memory? Is it usually the same colour on all headunits? also, when i turn the ignition off i get a loud bang through my subs which i dont get with my current head unit. Anybody know what could be causing this?
