Hi, I was lucky enough to get a consult at JAE by JeffTT, which when testing we discovered i've got a faulty water stat which was jammed open, also he noticed a knock sensor error when looking at the ecu which after was cleared and it never came back up so we dismissed it - however I purchased a cable to check the sensors myself and it keeps coming up so its likely is at fault. Simple question ! - wheres the cheapest place to buy and were on the engine is the sensor ?

Was taking my zed back to the bodyshop for buffing & finishing off this morning, quick 10 min blast down the A2 from my house - cruised along & opened her up a little - nasty vibration come through the steering, slowed down & eased of a little at first & thought had lost some wheel weights off my new wheels, then got worse & worse. Crap! pulled off asap onto slip road - drivers front tyre flat as fook :thumbdown: Swapped for spacewaster spare - that looked really low, thought I might make my mates bodyshop about 1-2 miles away now. Nope - tyre came straight off the rim after a few hundrew yards! :pinch: Call to my mate at work - luckily…

Afternoon all. I shall be starting on the unenviable task of cleaning up the engine bay later. Is it as straight forward as Gunk and plenty of elbow grease? Or are there any hints, tips or tricks you can advise me of? Not something I'm looking forward to but now the exterior looks mint it really let's the car down under the bonnet. Any advice welcome. At the moment i have 205 55 16 on all four wheels [ yes i know there not 300zx wheels ] but getting some but all four again will be 16s [300zx wheels ] keeping 205 55 16 on the front what tire can i go to on the rear to get wider looking tires

Anyone have any of these lying about gathering dust? i need some for my gtr rear brembo calipers. Ferodos or any good make. possibly yellow stuff and red. Can anyone point me in the right direction of good sources who sell these at a reasonable price? thanks in advance JT

The three way black plastic section that sits on top of the spark plugs has these zig zag narrow black plastic bit. Mine are all busted up and the rubber rings that go on the coil packs are perished. Ive put most of the car back together minus these two parts. Are they needed?

i think i might get rid of my AIV system and the EGR valve and HICAS system as its playing up anyway. i know it clears me engine bay but dus anyone know if by removing the AIV and EGR will help and will it pass MOT ??????

I would like a front splitter for my car nothing crazy justa subtle lip like the stillen ones but id rather not part with the cash for a genuine stillen one. im sure sum1 mentioned that there was a some splitter avaiable from seat that fits with some work and looks great

Well I've been buying bits and bobs that are to do with removal of HICAS but I'm really not sure if I need anything else, or got too much... lol :helpsmilie: Please assist! Can't blame weather conditions or my driving (honest!). Turning left at a roundabout, familiar with the road, wasn't going fast, didn't gas it as I came off the bend and the car decided to do its best impression of a sidewinder :crying: Scared the bejeezus out of me and Marc and it was so lucky there was no traffic in the outside lane coz the car swirled from one lane to the other before I got control of it again. And then the back end skippet out on me doing 40mph on a straight piece of dual carriageway. Seriously brown trouser moment. Really don't know why it happened. Not sure if perhaps my tyres aren't quite right, but they have always felt ok...... Eeek!

ive just done the center bearing today on my zed . anybody thinking about doing this make sure you have a new 27mm nut for the middle . what a complete PITA getting that thing off . i had to reuse it but christ it was butchered . also make sure you have new gaskets for your exhaust . i managed to buy a kit and make some new ones up but i was lucky that my local car spares place had this in stock , you might not be. one other bit of advice is to make sure you put a really good mark down the shaft for realignment . i just put a couple of little marks on mine and with all the struggling getting the bloody big nut off i scrubbed all my marks so im just hoping its not too…

hi i have been having intermittant hesitation on my z for a while , it generally occurs between 1-2k rpm and i have been able to catch a spike on datascan as you can see from the screen grab it goes loopy! i have a duel mapped ecu and was going to illiminate the crossover switch just incase this is at fault and is trying to switch maps while driving. any advice on anything else it could be? i was in traffic doing approx 8-15 mph

Just got a second hand idle control valve and air reg of ebay gave it a good clean and got a new gasket from nissan for idle control valve .When i took the new valve apart i notoiced a rubber washer on the idle screw .My old one never had this i wonder if this is the cause of my varible idle probs.not fitted new one yet, is this washer important will it leak air past it without 1 thanks.

My standard fpr has given up the goast, if i fitted a adjustable version is there a way to set it to the right pressure with out a gauge or will it need a gauge? all so is there any thing else i will need to fit one, eg an adaptor plate?

Hi, I stumbled by this picture when looking at vg30dett engine conversions into S-bodies (my friend has one). This engine bay, single turbo conversion looks mint; but can anyone explain how it is done? and what is going on under the hood from this picture? It confuses me!

hi guys it sounds like the exhaust on my zed is blowing but its coming from the front drivers side, is this an easy fix ?

Think it must have been your car mate, just outside newburry heading onto M4 looked stunning-off to be mapped?
