I'm sure this will get a flurry of responses and possibly a hot debate will ensue, but just sharing my personal experience. Now used 2 tankfuls each of Tesco Momentum 99 and Shell V-Power in my Z NA, and I can definitely say that with the Momentum, the car feels better. Obviously both perform better than 95 RON! Not saying this will be true for everyone, but for me the Tesco product is definitely better. The fact that it's cheaper is a welcome bonus.

Hi guys. well ive finally got another z!! :cool3: Its not perfect but its in good nick. Problem is there is rust bubbles on the osr arch. now it was repaired by zedworld 2 years ago. So someone has told me its going to keep coming back!! A painter i know has said he could do a temporary repair for £200. but it may last 6 months it may last a year!! Problem is ive started noticing a few paint mismatches all over the car  So my question is, how much roughly fo a repair and full respay cost? not talking about bare metal as i know that could be anything upto 5k!! Cheers in advance

I took a video of what my car is doing. View My Video Its hard to tell but its like a violent choking at about 3500 revs when boost starts to spool. It done this about a month ago and a fellow member suggested a boost pipe had come off, i couldn't find anything out of place and it was fine after that day. I put it down to air in the fuel lines as it had been sitting jacked up on one side for a while. But then i could freely rev it, now it struggles. My friend suggested that I've got a perished actuator pipe as this happened to his skyline, but i cant even see them let alone get to them. It feels electrical to me, as if its cutting ignition. Any id…

i have almost complted my manual conversion but cannot get the car to start - all lights are on and evrything electrical seems to works but nothing at the starter - i have fully charged the battery - i have checked the connections at my starter and they are tight (it was my original starter so i know that to be alright) - i found the thread on the starter relay bypass which i have done (put a wire in the connector with the black/yellow wires) - i have tried the gearstick in all positions - i have tried the neutral switch connected and not - i have a toad alarm/immobiliser - the rest of the alarm is working fine and i didn't knowingly disconnected anything - i am out of id…

On a zed, am i correct in thinking there are two fans? An electric one and a viscous one? Should/do either of them cut out above a certain RPM. My car has a dodgy sensor that needs looking at (o2 sensor im sure of it) but when holding it at revs the other day as it was climbing past 2800rpm I think it was fan noise dropped massivly as if one had stopped, letting the revs drop down the fan noise came back. Is that normal?

i realy hate it every time i go on ebay or pistonheads or ebay some body has advertised there car as 400, 500 or even 600bhp when clearly they havent got a clue about theas cars with no proof and some times no evidence they have even been tuned:censored: when we come to sell ours with a dyno sheet for say 350bhp some fools are going to say "i can get one with 500bhp for much cheeper than yours" some times i despair:death:

Hi all, having spent a while replacing the slave cylinder and assoc pipework on my 91 300zxtt I have found that I still have a sliping clutch and am in definite need of a new clutch. Being relatively new to my car I am not confident in undertaking a clutch change. I wondered if anyone can reccommend a garage or individual somewhere in the Kent area who could undertake this kind of work for an affordable price? I am in Ramsgate, Kent but could drive the car carefully a reasonable distance if required, especially if it could be done in a day? If anybody can offer some advice I would be very grateful. Cheers Jay

Hi, I was lucky enough to get a consult at JAE by JeffTT, which when testing we discovered i've got a faulty water stat which was jammed open, also he noticed a knock sensor error when looking at the ecu which after was cleared and it never came back up so we dismissed it - however I purchased a cable to check the sensors myself and it keeps coming up so its likely is at fault. Simple question ! - wheres the cheapest place to buy and were on the engine is the sensor ?

Was taking my zed back to the bodyshop for buffing & finishing off this morning, quick 10 min blast down the A2 from my house - cruised along & opened her up a little - nasty vibration come through the steering, slowed down & eased of a little at first & thought had lost some wheel weights off my new wheels, then got worse & worse. Crap! pulled off asap onto slip road - drivers front tyre flat as fook  Swapped for spacewaster spare - that looked really low, thought I might make my mates bodyshop about 1-2 miles away now. Nope - tyre came straight off the rim after a few hundrew yards! :pinch: Call to my mate at work - luckily…
