Hi my car is taxed and insured but mot ran out in may, so ive kept the car in my garage and only drove it on my drive. Last week the garage and my barn attached to it were set on fire by arsonists. barn gone garage gone car gone. What i need to know is my car insurance valid as ive a agreed valuation on it and ive put in a claim, thanks john

hey iv just went and bought a Double Opening Headlight Panel for the zed is theyr any prcations to take with fitting these..i.e the air filter sits under this part.is theyr a chance of a lot of water going in the slots?

hi guys this isnt a sale post iv just bought a blank plate with the Z emblem cut out for the cd player from a chap on ebay ..looks really good anyway i enquired about the center console part with the z emblem laser-cut-out and he;s willing to make one for me. he sent me these pictures with prices(youll have to contact him yourself about this...details at the bottom) he gave me permission to pass on his emaill adress to anyone whos intrested i wont post it till the powers that be say its okay

Only got the Zed on Saturday and already its playing up! When I'm starting it from cold it takes up to 20 mins to get it to eventually start. It's coughs and rocks about As if its trying to fire and its smells really strongly of fuel whilst trying 2 start. Does the 300 have a cold start mechanism? The car runs sweet when its started and warm and starts straight away again when its been off for a short amount of time. I'm confused.com, had to insure my old celica again to get to work this morning :/ Any ideas on where I should be checking 1st?

Richard, what on earth has been done to this Zed? was doing 60 on the M1 this morning on the way to work put my foot down to overtake a lorry and wheel span even in 5th? Its seriously fast, going to have to take it easy i think, felt like the back end was going to step out due to the acceleration, ok didnt help because it was light drizzle but still. Anyway lunch lol

Has anyone ever sucessfully dyed their original fairlady mats? I've got the early original dirty grey coloured ones and whilst I like the feel and quality of them I dont really like the colour and I was wondering if it would be possible to dye them to a darker colour like the later version in this eBay Link.

Basically I have found a company that supply a spoiler I want, but they won't ship internationally - so is there anybody based in the US who I could send it to then it could be shipped to me in the UK?

I'm sure when I first started coming on here a few years ago there was a thread that had a list of free improvements like removing things that weren't necessary etc - where has it gone? Or am I thinking of another site? - if so can someone point me in the right direction lol.

What would be the normal repair for this? Clean up as much as possible treat and paint? Would you put a skim of filler over the the turret mount patch just to smooth it out? Thanks for looking, James

lol looks like us mods are all out buying new Zeds, (come on StellaZ hurry up) So this is Rev1's old car and I'm sure this is going to bring a tear to his eye, (really sorry about that, but she is in good hands matey) After a very exhilarating drive home yesterday, i spent most of the night (12am to 3am) fitting my LED conversion that Groover had done for me (bloody top work that man) and fixing a stereo that was refusing to eject one of Rev1's disks. and then went sleep after i got home from work today, i instantly ran out to her and started work, parking both Zeds up next to each other i set about removing the back panels to switch my UK rear seat belts …

The Metal strip that separates the targas. cant seem to figure out how to get a tool in to the torx screws that run down it.

After some serious beginning teething troubles, my car went for a short stint with zed world. Now its back its a totally different car. I just dont want to get out of it.:clap: Its a red LWB TT auto 1990 jap import. modifications so far. aftermarket air filter, freeflow exhaust system, uprated oil cooler, autobox cooler rad bypassed from rad and external one fitted, standard jspec wheels sprayed graphite black, stillen front nose cone, new silicone boost pipes. i dont know if im the first to ask this but my rev counter is going nuts one minute it works then it does then it goes bonkers with needle darting all over the place has this happened to anyone else or is it just me lol

A friend of mine is asking where the braided plastic coated pipe on nearside under intercooler intake goes, i know it joins to a metal pipe which runs along chassis rail for a bit, but where does it go after that. Anyone please?

Saw it on the way into uni, didn't get much of a look but I'd be interested to see who's nearby.

I just bought my Zed 2 days ago and have already managed to reset my boost controller back to factory settings :whistling: Few questions I'm kinda stuck with is, if the controller is now back to normal will the engine just be back to stock boost and fuelling (as im worried about overboosting and pre detonation). Also does anyone have any experience in setting them up using the AUTO program or even manual? The car runs stock turbos/fuel pump/injectors. Any input would be great :thumbup:
