General Discussions - 300ZX Related

Hi guys I'm just wanting to know :detective: if anyone as one of these fitted to there 300 and if so how do you rate it :thumbup::thumbdown:as I have one and I'm thinking of either fitting it or selling it. I also have an Apexi S-AFC Super air flow converter which again will be fitted or selling so please let me know any feed back on these. Next if I do decide to fit them is there anyone close by :angel: that I can drive to :scooter: that would be interested in assisting me with fitting :sweatdrop::sweatdrop:

Hi All, I've seen some smoked front indicators on Z's before (not the '99 ones.) Are they standard on some Zeds or aftermarket? I think i read somewhere that Car.Mad was working on a cup holder project, anybody have a clue what I'm talking about? Anybody else working on a cup holder device? looking through the search bit i found a thread with someone selling one a while ago that came from the din slot, had a tray on top, and two cup holders underneath, all in one single din. to be honest it gave me a bit of a semi. are these still being made?

Has anyone delt with this guy, bought a tps from him through ebay and its worse than useless and he is not taking calls or tex and his phone is now diverted to a foriegn answer machine !!!

Thinking of getting a kaminari wing off them, do they ship at reasonable rates?

im looking for the pro,s and cons with polyurethane bushes over oem bushes .ive gotta replace the front anti-roll bar bushes to start with and have a good look at all others and replace as necessary . my way of thinking is nissan put rubber on them in the first place even though polyurethane was available when zeds were being made . mines only used on the road . have any of you guys had experience with new rubber bushes and polyurethane . im looking for a comparison between the two as im not too sure which way to go at the moment cheers guys andy

As above really, car smells quite heavily of fuel (this is according to others as i have no sense of smell!) and the rear bumper is quite blackened above the exhausts. I've been told the FPR needs replacing, does all this sound related and if so how easy/much to rectify? Thanks, Daffy.

Hi all, been a while but I'm back with a new Zed. Just bought this last weekend from croeso, some of you will probably know it.... ...but those who dont I'm sure you'll see it at future meets and events. These are some of croeso's pics as I've not took any myself yet. It's really good to be back behind the wheel of the Z32, especially this one. Must say I prefer this to the 350Z I had previously which was something of a let down after owning a 300ZX TT before that. What do you all think? Did I do good?

Are the front brake calipers the same on a J spec TT and a J spec NA ?

I am running a test on the Blitz datascan, what sould the reading be on tickover 750rpm. The screen is showing 10 on the scale and only moves slightly when revved. Is this only one side of the o2 system ?

Well, spent most of the morning down at the Zed fixing a power steering pipe to stop it leaking. after making sure everything was where it was supposed to be and everything was tightened up, i topped up the power steering fluid and started the engine. gave the wheel a few turns on full lock to make sure the air was out of it. turned the engine off. and now i have a water leak from from the water pump area behind the viscous fan? Also have a small leak dripping down from the rear of the engine onto the oil sump? I'm confused i never went anywhere near the water pump or the rear of the engine? So looks like I'm going to have to give it a new water pump, is …

hi all, the auto gearbox in normal mode dont seem to change gears sooner then 5k rpm what could be the cause of that?

well, i just sold the silver n/a, went to my unit in town to collect some bits for it in my Black TT and 3 miles down the road the temp guage shot up, openend the bonnet and steam was pissing out, I let it settle a bit and could see it was coming from the back of the engine, seemed more from the passenger side, it was dark and i didnt have a torch so couldn't really pin point it. i'll go and have a better look in the morning, but does anyone have an idea of what pipe it could be?

hi there do the front wheel bearingz go on the zx? i have a lumpy drive i can feel the viabration is that the left rear bearing? the mechanic who drove it also said the propshaft uj is messed up its got play in it and it vibrates as you pull of which i dont feel :S can that be true? hand brake is it shoes that might need tightening?

after working with a honda for the last couple of years i know theres parts of one model thatll fit another(h22 into and accord engine bay and type-r bit that fit same gen lesser models) what zed parts are interchangible and if theyrs any benifits e.g plenum..injectors...throtle bodies...pistons so on and so forth

right just got my zed through mot foned my insurance company to change some details and they want to increase my payments from £48p/m to £230 im insured on a highly modifyied accord(jdm h22a(240bhp) engine swap,bodykit and full chassis change to type-r):scared: they say its to much of a jump in power even though its an actual decres by 18bhp:smartass: anyway in total they want an extra 1500 per year. iv tryed compare the market and got a quote of £652 but that means iv been paying 9 months just to lose another years no claims....i wish insurance was easy... i might add the first real drive of the zed was to the center and back and iv never had a smile like th…
