After I identified a loose pipe following my boost loss and black smoke episode, I noticed there appears to be something missing from the engine bay. The pipe highlighted in green is the outside drivers-side intercooler pipe that goes to the back of the engine, then down (where it's come loose and popped off) - this whole pipe currently moves up and down when pushed and pulled, but it looks like along with the jubilee clip at the back of the engine, there should be something in the red circle that clamps the pipe to side of the plenum. Is this the case?

Been trying to figure out why my 99spec front wont fit on my new zed, I've tried for the life of me to get a snug fit up at the wings. I've modded the inter-cooler ducts and even removed the polystyrene that was on the nudge bar, and removed the front fog lights, but i just cant seem to get it to sit flush with the wings for some reason? I didn't have this problem with my black zed when i put it on that. and apart from a under tray that its not catching on, that's the only difference. Am i missing something here?

hey guys, i need my OSR wheel bearing replacing, but dont think i can afford to get it done by zedworld his month :-( so i was wondering, is it an easy job? what section of the service manual would it be in? (i cant seem to find any reference to bearings) are they bolt in units or press in, and is it worth going down the second hand route? cheers guys

well the inevitable happened, when i converted from NA to TT there was no clutch or flywheel included in the sale of 'all parts required for conversion' so i just used the NA clutch and flywheel..... it was an exeedy clutch that had only done 500 miles so i thought it was gonna be ok for a tt kicking, just to make sure, i rang a few places and did a bit of research and discovered the NA exeddy clutch was (apparently) capable of coping with in the region of 400bhp :\ anyway..... this is no longer the case.... clutch is now slipping in 5th 4th and a bit in 3rd, iv got a tt flywheel and a tt pressure plate i JUST need a lining..... except no one sells them any mo…

I remember watching Jean claude Van Damme's 'TIME COP ' and seeing the ZED in a scene in the mall where he stops the theid with the purse, it was advetising the Zed as a brand new car :D Just yesterday i watched a film- quite old called TEEN AGENT' and a woman is getting chased by a lotus and she is in a white zed with the targas off. everytime i see a film with a Zed in it no matter how ce@p the film i have one big cheesy grin on my face. any other movies with Zed's in where they have a decent part ??

I went to get a price today for some new tyres. Told the guy i wanted Falken, my rears are Falken, but he reckons the Nexen are far better. Cheaper too, £98 each fitted and balanced. I have booked it in tommorrow anyway to have them changed, just wondered if anyone else has Nexen tyres and what are your views/experience. Cheers Graham

  15. Hi all, Looking for your advice as some of you may have successfully deal with this problem before. I've recently bought a Z OEM steering wheel which has turned out to be...terrible. The attached photos tell the story. Is there any way of dealing with the damage and wear and tear that you can see in the photos, for example using leather conditioners, dyes etc? The obvious next step should be to return the wheel however if there is anything I can do, then I will certainly have a go! Thanks. Well as some of you may have seen, i had a problem with my auto box not selecting gears recently. I followed some advice from you guys and swapped fluid, no difference, then took of sump and cleaned out strainer, and replaced the fluid again. Hey Presto she worked, drove a couple of miles last night no problem so i took hr into work today but i noticed that at low speeds, (ie 1st and 2nd gear) she is changing gear ok but there is a slightly high pitched whirring noise (also in P when you rev - same noise) This noise is not noticeable when in higher gears. When i say she is changing gears ok, when i start her up and stick it in D there is more of a noticeable jolt tha…

Hi all just after a little bit of advice for my zx over winter. I am taking it off the road this week and rebuilding it over the next 6-8 months. The car will be covered with a water resistant car cover but is there anything else I should do to protect it as I don't want it rotting away or seizing up. I am also going to take pads out. As discs and pads are brand new. Reason for taking zx off road is due to a tapetty / sticking valve noise from rear passenger cylinder so I need to strip it down and have a look plus I am going to do big power and weight reduction mods ready for nurburgring in June. Any advice on prep for winter and modifications are welcome as I am new…

Im showing codes 11 and 21 11 is crank angle sensor / wiring harness 21 is ignition circuit, or PTU / wiring harness fault Sooo..... now what ? lol

For any of you that have had the misfortune to snap a bolt on the downpipe end of the turbo elbow - what have you done to remove it? I've got 2 snapped on the nearside sticking out a few mm from the flange and 1 on the o/s thats snapped flush. Trying to drill them out is proving difficult to say the least as normal HSS drill bits dont do much - it took me about 20 minutes of drilling to get about 1mm into one of the bolts. What are my options? I thought about removing the elbow from the turbo but thought if a stud there it's an engine out job to correct and I dont have an engine crane. My brother reckons I need a cobalt steel drill bit and that should speed the drilling u…
