Following a lorry this evening and went to pass it on a big of DC. Put foot down and nothing, (well it sort of accelerated, but you get the picture.). Boost guage only goes up to '0' so I'm assuming that's just WOT and normal pressure. It was fine right up until I went for the overtake. No rattles, smoke or bangs. I need it fixed before Friday. Any ideas?

My front washer jets only trickle out onto the bonnet at the moment althought sometimes the nearside one does spray slightly onto the screen. I can hear the motor going like hell when I press the button so I have a blockage somewhere. Would my best bet be to slide a little pin prick down there? I only ask because I did that on an old car of mine and wrecked the jets and from there on in about a pint of water would come out. Or would I more than likely find the blockage in the actual pipe. Just wondering really If anyone has rectified a problem these ways before

the previous owner of my zed had new kyb shocks all round, drift spec tension rods and adjustable control arms. all has been good drivers is fine. Passnger side is the issue. i have noticed a few things. 1. The front arch liner has been worn when on full lock to the right by the tyre, and slightly sliced the expansion bottle, causing slight water loss also the same on the front rear liner. 2. looking at the control arm is seems to have been put in the same as the drivers side???? is this right?? I know the zed had a front end crunch on the pass side, but had been repaired at zedworld, i think. Has anyone any pics of the passenger side control arms fitted, so i…

Ok here´s the story; since I bought my Z about 3 years ago, I barely driven the car on a long trip; except for when I drove it back from Italy to Spain when I first bought it. Since then the car has always been sitting on the garage and it can sit there for months without being drove. Many experts have adviced me that doing this to a car is not healthy, specially for these type of high performance cars...the turbos need life and some action; now couple weeks agi I got invited to a friends wedding who lives in Paris; so here comes my doubts; is it goo idea to drive the Z from Barcelona to Paris? see I always think that by not driven it much or getting the Z on the highway I…

Have a slight issue, with the boost controller turned off, it reads peaks of 13 PSI, the stock boost controller solenoids are still connected, so why is it reading so high? it has upgraded t28 turbos front mount intercooler air intake filter full turbo back exhaust. John Dixon ECU chip shouldnt it be at the normal 9 PSI until i up the boost? and it reads in real time so its not a previous reading. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi all, Okay, final conundrum on the 600zx is down to the fuel tank breathing. I have no return on the regulator so just one pipe from the gravity fed connector on the base of the tank going to pump, then the filter then the regulator then onto the carb. Now i know on the standard zed you have a charcoal canister which collects the petrol vapours but as that's been bypassed and missing now i just have all the pipes on the top of the tank left and a return pipe coming up the front of the tank. Now i know i need to pull in air as the vacuum increases in the tank and i can do that via a PCV valve i have lying around that would fit inline perfectly on one …

Any ideas why somebody would opt for a section of wire mesh jubilee clipped onto the turbo intake as opposed to a regular cone filter, surely this wouldn't provide anywhere near adequate filtration? What are the pro's and con's of this set up?

Well had the car a week now and so far done a lot of stuff too her. Had the car on the ramps earlier and as much as i loved the sound of the single exit, my mind was made up that it needed to change. not because i think duel look better (which they do) but because it had a blooming hole in it. Well So far since owning her this is whats been changed. - UK rear seat belts now installed from my black one. - LED side pods installed. - Passenger side window switch changed over as the one it originally had in was lifting - Rear 99spec mod done (although now needs redoing as the damn pin stripe is lifting just like i said it would lol) - Passenger side wi…

I have my eye on a set of wheels which are not the norm. I've had a chat with Pete and James (Jaffa) and we feel it will be OK but I would be happier if anyone has any experience with these sizes. I am considering going with 18 x 9J +25 offset on the front and 18 x 10J +35 offset on the rear. I expect to do some arch rolling but don't really want to do any cutting of liners etc. As well, I expect the 9" to turn in a bit quicker which is great on a LWB but not quite sure if that's a positive thing on a SWB. Best tyre sizes to suit would help too :)

gotta say jeftt is a top bloke just got back with the zed running a whole lot better than when i went up there this morning, turns out i had a huge boost leak on one of the turbo pipes (the bottom rubber one with the corregated section in) turns out the garage who did the turbos for the previous owner never got it on quite right so the one edge of the pipe was sat ontop of the flangle, and managed to put a whol in the pipe as well whilst trying to get it on, slight leak on the pcv's to so thats now all sorted, also got the dreaded timing belt 1 tooth out so timed it to where it should be but it's on max adjustment on the cas so thats another job but not till next year whe…
