Hi everyone, I ran with 15psi last year and blew my piston apart, next year I am hoping to get it back upto 15psi. But not before making sure the car can take it safely. What exactly should I be doing and getting fitted? Sorry guys I admit I am no mechanic and have very limited knowledge of engines... Thanks for the help :-) Dan

I have a issue, was driving the car this morning and noticed that the brake light was still on on the dash, so pulled over and checked the hand brake but it had released all the way to the bottom of its travel. also check the fluid level in the engine bay and that was half way between full and empty. Now i cant remember seeing a ABS sensor or anything, so do we have them? take it its time to change the pads?

I have two questions... 1.) How do I use the auto transmission switch in my car? It says: Hold when down, nothing in the middle and power when up... 2.) And what is this red left/right switch for that has been added to my centre console near the clock? :helpsmilie:

Hi All, Got (hopefully) a simple problem with a car im looking at buying - theres a little bit of wheel shake when braking, which is making me a little hesitant. Looking round the car i see it has recent new front pads (EBC redstuff) and new rotors, drilled and grooved, but the backs are still stock. I also noticed the wheels didnt have any balancing weights on them. Just wondering if anyone has much experience of this? The seller says the car hasnt been driven that much lately so is it possible this is just scrubbing off a top layer of rust on the rotors? I'm going to get the wheels rebalanced and probably realigned, but just wondered if theres anything e…

I've recently had my MeisterR coilovers and adjustable arms fitted by Mark. As always a fantastic service all round. His knowledge, advice and work are all fantastic. If you live in our region he really is the 'go to' guy if you own a Zed. He has also completed a full alignment and set-up for me and it has transformed the car. Handles superbly and turns in really well which is what I was after. Thanks again mate. Top job and top bloke too.:cool3:

most of my mates in my silly little town has hondas, mainly accord type R's my brother in law who has a civic told me last thing last night that the club meet on saturday (today) was low on numbers and asked if wanted to join them on a dyno run day, i accepted and left 7am this morning, anyway, at this honda meet there some awsome examples, but none got to the 300bhp mark so i felt pretty smug, mine went on last and it made 297hp and 301, torque bearing in mind it has no performance mods at all exept for back boxe (still has original cats) even standard air box, its pretty good isnt it? i was worried a few gee gee's might of escaped over the last 21 years? …

HI- i'm looking for some advice. I recently moved my zed (off the road for a few years) out of my garage. i then removed the battery. When I came to lock it later that day I couldn't put my hands on the key, so I locked the driver door then the passenger door manually from inside the car. I have now found the key, it's under my fleece on the passenger seat! i can just see the edge of the key ring. is there an easy way to open it without damage? If anyone can help me, please let me know. (Either by PM or text/mobile 07834 449240 due to the sensitive/ security issue here) Many thanks

Ok going to be tackling a plenum change at some point in the very near future, going to fit the polished one that's currently sitting in the boot of my black TT, i have spare throttle bodies and would like them polished up as well, but haven't really come across a very good clear write up about how to go about polishing. I've tried sand paper with different grades and all it seems to be doing is making a mess lol, so before i tackle the ones that are actually on the car is there any very good guides or hints and tips? I don't have a dremel. so hand tools only at the moment. Also what and who supplies the gaskets and possibly pipe work I'm going to need when do…

Well, cut a long story short. I bought my car with the intention of putting the engine into an E36 BMW. I then decided not to bother and stick with the ZED. When i bought it, there were a few things that needed doing, but didn't bother me as i only wanted the running gear. Since deciding to keep it, these thing will need to be sorted. I can see myself spending a couple of grand just getting it as i want. I thought about selling, and i put it on ebay. It didn't sell. It owes me £1500. The engine and box seem good. I drives nicely. But the interior and body are tatty. Would i see at least £1500 back if i broke it? I have the time and space, just w…

Hope you dont mind me borrowing and changing this picture a bit Jeff. What is it I've put arrows to in the picture? Noticed I seem to have quite a bit of oil leaking out of the left hand one of these and it's dripping round the gearbox and onto the floor - I wondered if there was meant to be something on the end of it but I didn't even notice there was one on the right hand side - perhaps I could get some clues from there. Any help appreciated, James

I know I'm asking for trouble but here goes... ...when the 370Z was first announced, I was absolutely delighted. The photos looked great and early reports suggested that it was great to drive and far superior to the 350 in every way. Having now seen a couple on the road (only a couple compared to hundreds of 350s...) and also read the latest reviews, the picture doesn't seem quite as rosy. Many have commented how the last incarnation of the 350 is better to drive, more agile and more refined, where as the 370 has been criticised by the majority as very noisy, and not as exciting as the 350. As for looks, I must admit that I was rather underwhelmed. Ver…

hi, i installed my short shift gear stick at the same time as a manual conversion so probably not the best idea as i do not have anything to compare it with - this was a couple of weeks ago and it still seems very awkward and "notchy"/ clunky - i am convinced it rattels and vibrates as well - is this normal or could there be a different fault looming dave

Checked the windscreen washer reservoir today and to my astonishment found the water to be black and small bits of goey stuff floating about. It was a nice clear blue only 2 weeks ago and has been fine for the last year. Any ideas?
