Looking into replacing my tubular manifolds with cast ones, but a little confused on which is the best. AMS seem to be a cheap copy of the Mike Smith ones is this correct and if so would you stay clear of them, and buy the more expensive MS ones? what you peeps reckon? Engine coming out again, and this time its going back in to stay:taz: Dave

Just wanted to say a big thank you to John Dixon, whos been helping me with the next part of finishing my car off, the engine management and tuning. Went round to Johns a few weekends ago, for a trial fitment and prep the car ready for tuning, John spent a good day working on the car. The other Monday, set off early, picked up John near Coventry and drove over to Emerald. Unfortunately time wasnt on our side so didnt get the car mapped that day. Left Emerald in an old battered Rover leaving the car behind. Headed to Emerald today to pick up the car and then drove back to Johns to finish off the install and tidy things up. Car drives superb, think im st…

I saw these rear kits on some forum and literally felt in love specially with the black one; I´m not sure if it´s Strosek; don´t look like to 2 me..but was wondering if someone knew exactly the Kit; and where to buy it and get it installed? for wot it looks like I might have to remove the spoiler? or perhaps it could be kept also..while installing it? Anywhere in the UK who could probably sell it and install it?

Seeing this pic today showing the boot light in a LWB, prompted me to ask the following Should my SWB have a light here? I don't even have cut out :confused1: Is it because the centre courtesy light in a shorty is supposed to light the boot with the blind down? Does a LWB have a courtesy light on both sides of boot? Thank you.

Hi peeps, Last week while on a long drive, I noticed my drive belt started to make noise and I thought may be it was water related problem. However following day I realised almost all the oil in the power steering pot has gone. My question is - could this be just a leakage from the pipe or is it the steering pump? I tried to trace the leak point and it's around where the main pipe from reserviour pot joined the steering pump - very difficult to reach. Would I be needing another pump or just find a way to tighten the pipe from point of leakage? BTW car still steer easy like before - not stiff at all thanks Ade

Just wondering if anybody has come across this setup before. This is an ATL fuel cell that was previously fitted to a Cosworth rally car. I bought it a while back and am in the process of fitting it and plumbing everything in (hence the hole where my 'Z' used to have a boot floor) The company ran a twin Facet lifter pump set up running to a large fuel filter. This 'I believe' filtered fuel to the primary Bosch 044 fuel pump which ran to a primary high flow fuel filter/FPR etc. The vent hose was cut whilst the cell was being removed from the previous car, as was a second hose that runs from the initial fuel filter. Any suggestions where to run the …

Finished off the sill repair and de-scabbed both sides, Then re-stonechipped the sills, While that was drying I took the old exhaust off ready for the shiny cat back japspeed one-the old one is well knackered! Before fitting the new 'zorst the underside was Shultzed, The I fitted the new system, just a note that I was well impressed with this, straight on only the slightest tweak to get the tailpipes level! The sills then got a coat of base from a rattle can, Then laquered-color match is quite good for an aerosol!:smartass: More as it happens folks!:hammer:

Just bought a 91' N/A Fairlady and the central locking does not work. The drivers side lock just feels broken and you cannot lock it from the outer door as the key just spins??? Will I need to replace the whole mechanism? The passenger side still locks though....

I am trying to make room for a full size battery in my engine compartment. The previous battery, now dead, was the wrong type being too small and only just man enough to start the car. The problem now is the Hornet car alarm siren is taking up the space needed. How easy is it to relocate the siren unit? If I cut the wires when the alarm is unarmed will it set the alarm off? Actually I would like to remove the siren altogether [it goes off always at the wrong time when voltage drops] and just use the keyless entry and engine immobiliser, is this possible?

I need to replace my original spoiler with a fiberglass copy of the same type. Does anyone know if I can get away with just painting the spoiler, or will the tailgate have to be done too?

...a job I thought I'd never get to do easily as one of the screw heads was rusted so bad it was coming apart when I tried to undo it, but eventually I got the old ones out and the new smoked 'reflectors' in. I take it the US-spec Zs have (or had) to have lit-up rear reflectors because the new units come with small bulbs for which there is no visible connection in my Jap bumper. I love the look though - the red really clashed with the blue, but now the rear quarters match the darker alloys and also the smoked side repeaters up front. A great mod for about £30 delivered from the US

I am trying to buy a new battery for my 1990 TT auto import, as the old one died. There seems to be a lot of conflicting information from suppliers. H******S and two Internet suppliers want to give me a battery far to large to fit in the limited space. They also have three different specifications for the battery. Does any one know the official Nissan specified Reserve Capacity and Cold Cranking Amps [its not given in the online manual or handbook], I can then find one that fits. The old battery I think was wrong anyway being only 45 Ah, but it did fit.
