Greetings all, first off I know that everyone has "their shop" and their preferences, so on and so forth. But is there any one shop in the UK that has the top reputation, no history of shenanigens, and a solid record of integrity, that most everyone can agree on? I'm considering getting my Z tuned properly, but want to make sure it goes someplace that will actually do it properly and has a solid track record with Z32's. I'm not sure if there is any significant difference in petrol between the UK and Germany, so it might even be a moot point. Anyway, this will require a ferry trip and certainly at least one night, possibly two, as well as using up leave time from work…

Had my tracking set up by laser,Had it checked three times now ,and didn't need any adjustment, all my tires or the same size and inflated to the correct pressure , cant see any play in the bushes and the power steering is all topped up , so what might be causing it to pull to th right , on level roads as well as camber roads.

I was driving along in my z31 at a sensible speed today approaching a red light in the rain, gently applied the brakes and the car really shot off to the right. Get to where I'm going and have a look to find that my offside track control rod is snapped in 2, half of it on the road somewhere at that set of traffic lights I imagine. Just started searching for a replacement rod and came across this thread which set alarm bells ringing as I recently installed poly bushes...anybody had any problems or heard that poly should not be used for this part of the car?

Hi Had my aircon filler valves changed on my 92 tt import and a special gas with oil for the old type compessors put in.everything was perfect for 2 days then no more ice cool air.Checked the compressor and can see the clutch is not working (wiring has been checked) 1)can i replace with the newer type commpressor (series 2 on i think ?) 2)If so is that an advantage ? and is that all i have to replace or do other parts of the system have to be changed over to match the new type compressor? thks Kurt

Finally started the car after getting everything together and both the clutch and brake pedals seem to go to the floor way to easy. When I depress the pedals the revs drop too! Have I set up the one way valves on the vac reservoirs wrong? Why is the brake pedal going to the floor? :confused1:

Hi, After alot of thinking and your input, Iam not going to swap my n/a engine for a TT. But Iam going to keep the n/a as it was cheap and the body and engine are good nick. I know with it been a n/a there wont be much room for improvement, is it worth getting a chip if so which one, I wouldnt normaly chip a car as I like a custom map but with it not been a turbo motor a custom one may not be worth the money. Any specific exhaust ect? What is the maxium the engine will put out 250hp? Thanks for the help. Mark

I was lifting the front up when the car jack slipped and the car landed on the front of oilpan and damaged it :( Also think I damaged one of the hoses for the aircon. bet it a bit. The engine did not sound good when I started the car for a brief momemt. The oil pressure was 5-6 bar. There was a metalic sound coming from about where the oilpan was. Did not take the chance. Hope someone can shed some light on this. I have never taken the oilpan of a 300zx... What can cause these bad sounds? :hang::shock:

hello everyone. not really been on here since i joined, still not got a zx, but hoping that will change in the near future. anyway, saw this on ebay and decided to have a bit of a bid at it- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180556447819&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT not expecting to win at all with my measly £600 bid but the end is near and i am still the highest bidder. problem is it's a fair old distance away and i'm now struggling for somewhere to keep it! To be honest, i cant see it selling for £600 but if it does do you think its worth the 3 hour drive to collect it? and any ideas what could be causing it not to start? i will be doing a…

hey there ive been driving my na 1990 zx for about a month now and i love it although i cant believe how much fuel its using ? Ive had 2 other v6 engined vehicles before that wasnt as bad as this one, ive had a 194 bhp 3.0 v6 laguna and a 205 bhp 3.2 v6 frontera which i was gettin about 25 mpg . IN the 300zx i put 20 quid fuel in took me from the red to just over a quarter and its got me 91 km ?? which is pretty crap, does my car need a service or are they juust reli bad on fuel ?? and i dont drive it fast most the time im below 3000 rpm ?? thanks dave

Hi, i have just started the prepping for the attempt at the manual conversion - i have removed the cover hiding the fixings for the clutch pedal/booster assembly and there is a large wiring loom from the alarm going through it - the wires go everywhere so does the large hole have a air tight seal when the clutch system is in or can i enlarge the hole (like a v in the bottom) to house the wiring loom as well - hope that makes sense - otherwise i will have to cut the wiring loom and rejoin about 30 wires - many thanks dave

Well, I have not long got home from Jae, and I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the whole weekend, even though I'm shattered from all the running around I did prior to and over the whole long weekend. The weather started off quite poor on Thursday and Friday with Rain, but it didnt seem to dampen anyones Jae Spirit. but luckily the Hot sun cam out to play for most of Saturday and ALL day today. we had over 20 Zeds on the stand at it's peek on Saturday which is always nice to see. yes more would have been better, but so long as the members who showed had a good time, then I'm happy. We had some Regular Jae attenders as well as some Newcomers. it was nice to mee…

Right seeing all the photos and posts going up i thought that i would post my own thoughts: Well the night before going my gearbox decided to pack up so i was gutted that i wouldn't be able to take her there, so the weekend started poorly, On top of that we got stuck in traffic on the way and ended up doing about 2 mph for some considerable time. My mate, me and his two teenage kids finally arrived and had a bit of a laugh trying to put up our tents in the windy conditions. We cracked open a few tinnies and went for a walk. I was still gutted that the car couldn't make it but wandering over to the 300zx area put a smile on my face again as i saw some old fr…
