hi guys,have noticed smoke coming from driver's side exhaust pipe,only seems to happen when car is left to idle after a run,dosn't seem to smoke under normal driving conditions.someone told me it might be oil seals in the turbo itself & it will need refurb.any ideas?cheers daren.

Hi does anyone had a problem with auto door lock. driver side door is good put passenger door doesn't work. I check fuse that is ok. I had the same problem before but that was fuse fail. but now fuse is ok but passenger side door and interior light not working :(

hi there, i have managed to fix my cruise control, i would now like to modify the brain to Euro spec, it is currently Jap spec and limited to 69 mph, i understand there is a simple mod which will increase this limit, does anybody have the instructions on what components to move or replace on the ASCD main board. look forwards to your respones

I want to refurbish my standard alloys, but they still have the tyres on, how would i go about removing them? Not worried about damaging the tyres, they're all bald anyway :p

Whenever i get into the Zed (admittedly i dont use it at the moment) i feel like i need to adjust the steering wheel (lift it up a bit). Is there anything i can do about it? When my mate got in it, he thought the same.

Right, so i bought my car in august and after having it a week the clutch selecter fork (??) broke. I had that changed along with a new clutch at a cost or around £500. Now the same fault i had before has returned. I'm guessing it will be the selecter fork again and not the clutch itself. i've taken it back to the garage i had the work done, should be under warrenty. Definatly not happy. Even thought of selling up and cutting my losses :( Loosing faith in it, may have bitten off more than i can chew with this one, she does need a fair amount of work :(

hey guys. i changed my oil today so im happy, you get that new car feeling lol, gonna plug laptop in later and see if the knock sensor is still faulting, youd be shocked at this.... the wires on the ECU side of the knock sensor plug, the black one has a chock block in it! and the brownish colour one has a split in the insulation, i can see naked corroded wire!! me tinks thats why it throwing a code,it didnt throw it the other day when i read them of the dash.maybe bad software,ECUtalk.mite try reading it from the ECU led again.so its still in safety mode:sad:,gonna whip my soldering iron out lol.wrap it loads of tape. also, its probly me bein sceptica…

Can hitting the restricter on my jap tt damage it? Also does any1 know what the little push down button is on the front of the auto lever facing the clock is? Mine has japanese writing and a arrow saying push?

I'm trying to remove the perspex strip at the back and have found it secured by the clips in the photo. What's the best way of removing these? [Took 50 photos before I got this clear shot! Could somebody shed some light on this please? I've fitted an ARC oil cooler off a BNR34 GTR to my 'Z'. It came with, what I initially thought was a sandwich plate for the oil filter, but having just compared it to the HEL/MOCAL sandwich plate that I bought previously, I now think that the ARC part is for re-locating the oil filter from its original location and not a normal sandwich plate. Here's a pic of the HEL/MOCAL sandwich plate and here's a pic of the ARC part that I believe is for relocating the filter from the stock position If this is the case then wouldn't a blanking plate wit…

hey up! i was just wondering if using Bars Rad flush was a good idea or not. perhaps its the buildup of smeg which is bunging all the leaks lol. whats your opinions on this stuff, and where is my best place to drain the whole system? cheers guys

Hi Guys, I have a J spec TT. When I bought the car it had fitted a Blitz induction kit upgraded chip (not sure what make that is) Dump valves again not sure what make but they came from America according to the recept and an Apexi AVCR.I came across this (see pics below)I thought at first that it was part of the Boost contoller but now pretty sure that it was fitted in Japan cos its the only Mod on the car that I have not got the recept to.The thing is still live cos the control knob lights up when the ignition is switched on but the control is set to zero.The question is what is it what does it do can it still be used in conjunction with the boost controller or is it r…

As some may know I sold the Z this week, I had resigned myself to the fact it wouldn't sell and I would end up keeping it and finishing everything on it. But the buyer came through and has been chasing me to collect. I started the car up this week to check it over to find a leak in the rad, l: that being the case I'll keep it and sell the EVO. So gutted on losing a sale but it gives me the winter to rebuild and perfect all the engine layout bits I'm not happy about, I may even got for a target of 600bhp!

hey guys just downloaded the ECUtalk software,basic but fairly useful, just bin for short drive noticed my o2 sensors lh and rh arnt the same all the time lol and ive got a code : 34= knock sensor (0 starts) what does this mean and what do i do now? faulty sensor maybe,weird because wen i checked the codes last time i only got the temperature sensor for the ECU, sorted that, now im getting knock sensor. but last time i used the blinking light method,:huh: hmm:confused1:
