get a sort of knock / clunk noise when slowing and coming to a halt and when i go up slight kerb on to the drive. someone I had in the car said they felt a knock/vibration in the footwell ? Had front tension rod bushes done a few years back and had poly ones put in. Also running Tein suspension which is pretty firm. Could this be the Tensions rods ? or something else ?

I saw a black LWB zed today on a J plate. Had 6 pot "lambo" style rear lights a big wing. Was parked infront of a shop I think on the A610, fairly near the city centre.

How far in advance would I need to book a Conzult and compression test in at Zedworld? Reason I'm asking is its 280 miles either way so need to sort out time off from work etc. Just gonna have to bite the bullet and go visit Jeff and see what's what with this engine so I know where to go from here :thumbup1:

Right guys and gals, i need your help! As some of you may or may not know having recently tried to fix my Autobox, with little success, i have decided to take everyones advice and go manual, about which i am now very excited :hyper: I got my car towed to Andy Isherwoods in Ascot on the weekend, and we started to clear some space and get a few bits of one of his breakers that we will need, and then we got mine up on some stands. We will be working on the car this weekend (Sat 13th) and on the weekend of the 27th/28th (and then probebly every weekend that it is dry untill it's done!) Unfortunately for Andy i am a complete mechanical novice, so my reques…

Been test fitting the polished plennum and I think I would Like to do a cable tidy while I'm at it ! what i would like to do is split the main harness into two branches that can go down each side of the fuel rails ! doing this would be neat and hide all the cables, is this safe to do ?

This is what this club's all about. I contacted Lee a few weeks ago about possibly sparing some time to come and help me detail the V8. 6.30am Friday morning i heard the rumble of a zed coming down the main road and he set to work (well after an hour of gabbing from both of us lol) The results speak for themselves. Mate you're a star and i'll definately get you a pint in when i see you next and let you take him for a spin :D Cheers again for all the hard work, Nick

I must be mad getting another one but popped down to see scatrat on Saturday to have a look at the TT he has for sale and i'll be popping down to pay the last bit and bring it back in a couple of weeks time. JJ is a top guy and it was a pleasure to meet him - hardest working guy ever it has to be said! :) Cheers for the tea buddy and look forward to seeing you again when i come down to pick up the old girl in a couple of weeks. Right back to the V8 again tonight and tomorrow and get it out the garage to get the rover in and give that a tidy up to move it on.....

Hi guys. Was at the dyno place yesterday finally getting the car tuned but got a problem. In short the car runs spot on until I go on boost at which time it misfires. I went through pulling off the coil pack connectors to see if any of these were down and it appears number 4 wasn't making any difference. I've tried another coil pack and also tried changing a couple round, the plugs were brand new but still no change when I pull the plug off. Any ideas what this could be or how I can check??? I have datascan if that helps. Maybe PTU perhaps? This is. Series 1 ptu.

He hasn't said where about in the world he is but I'm damn sure I'm not adding anyone on MSN after a previous scary experience lol!! Will see if this leads anywhere, am not holding my breath tho...

As you can see the wheels are in a bit of a state, mainly because they are laquered and water has got under it! The good news is they are save-able with a bit (lot!) of work, this is the first one,240 grit to 800 and bloody sore fingers!:sweatdrop: Just started to buff it tonight but got too dark -if they all get to this stage I'll be chuffed as I love the rims.Oh! and I Won't be laquering them! Only three more..........................:surrender:

I have been having vibration issues lately so jacked the car up today and checked for play in any suspension components at the front. I have discovered when holding the wheel at top and bottom i can feel play something but is so difficult to see or feel what it is when you need both hands on the wheel to make it clunk backwards and forwards. I "think" its coming from the large joint with the rubber cap which covers the upper castle nut. can it be re-packed with grease or is it a new component? Its either this or the upper camber arm as i can actually see the movement in this but i feel its not this thats giving the movement.. has anyone else experienced thi…
