General Discussions - 300ZX Related

Two questions really lol,can anyone shed some light on whether the nissan 300c(cedric) gearbox is the same as the z31 300zx gearbox,or simply will the 'box from that old v6 fit the z32 v6 motor?Just Ive been offered a cheap deal on one of these old boxes for my z32

I've got the silicon tube pack from the Zcentre, I know it can't be used for petrol or oil but can I use it for the plenum water bypass? Or do I need some coolant hose? Cheers Dave

obviously zeds are fairly quick not the quickest but pretty dang quick and alot of people seem a little surprised by how quickly you loom on them and the shiny new 2 seater "sports car" so out of interest who has out run what. and what is your zed running bhp...auto/manual etc

Having replaced my IC's for larger ones I'm having trouble tracking down a smaller water bottle that has 2 outlets, front & rear. Scoured google et al and can only find either custom bottles with 1 outlet or pumps with 2 outlets. Anyone know of a supplier?

I have some UK door cards and getting some UK seat belts, i have a jap with the belts on the door. This subject has come about a few times, but i know a few have done it. I realise the holes are there but with no thread, so the top hole, which is the trickiest as there is no room behind the pillar, is the bone of contention. Is it best to weld a plate with the captive nut or is there not enough metal for strength? Anyone got any pics of their UK B pillar to have a look. Cheers Graham

I seem to have lost the smaller of the three O rings used on the balance bar. Anybody know if there's a way to replace this with another part from say halfords or local garage ! Looking to get this fixed by tomorrow so all guidance appreciated !

hey folks just a quick one i have a uk spec tt and i just swapped the engine from my jap spec one but know it wont start , i have fuel and spark and it cranks but wont fire i was just wondering if theres any difference between the engines, ecu or what else i need to check. any help and advice is gratefully recieved. thanks

hi all ...my 99 spec front is at zedworld and i forgot to measure the main intake size for a project im starting , if anyone can help , it would be appreciated , i need to know the size in CM long the top edge of the intake the intake height and the length of the bottom edge , the height of the vertical drops from the top edge to where it tapers in to meet the bottom edge ......mucho mucho appreciato .....spacebo bolshoi !!!:thumbup:

Anyone on here ever done one of these to there z? if so did they notice any lack in power throttle response etc? only reason im asking is i did a 230mile trip in the 350z on just under 40 quid of tesco 99 th other day, a good few times havin the car booted up to over 100mph ( most of the trip was motorway cruise control tho ) now im back in the 300zx tt and the car died on fuel on the way to the petrol station so i filled up £40 in it and got just under a half tank... iv now done 40 miles and its just under a quarter tank ( only 2 miles if that have been full throttle ) all driving bar the full throttle has been around town in drive mode on A/T with overdrive on,…

How do i tell if a standard prop is off a manual or an auto is there difference in length? cheers marty

i just got hold of another air con ecu . the new one is supposed to be from a series 2 with directional air flow control . is there a different code number on these compared to the series 1 so that i can check before install . if there is any idea what the code for series 2 is . cheers andy

Hi, now looking to fit 1.0 mm mig welding tips to act as boost jets,,as i have aquired a modified ECU suitable for my car, can anybody point me in the direction of an idiots guide to fitting the jets, the last thing i want is for them to be sucked into the Turbo Intakes thanks

Tried and tried bleeding and bleeding... Still air bubbles and heating still going cold, then starts overheating. Cannot seem to find a leak apart from water dripping from the offside front of the car, top hose goes solid under load. Pulling my *beep* hair out now... what or who is going to fix this and for how much? I know nothing about cars. *beep* CAR! :thumbdown:

my aivs gurgle. well intermitently, sometime sthey do sometimes they dont. should i be bothered should i do something about it? the fact that it sounds like a kid blowing bubbles in amilksake ever now and again at idle doesnt really worry me. i cant hear it most of the time, and how does joe blogs on the street know there not a little chunky kid hiding behind the bus stop blowing bubbles :D

Just smashed up my veilside C1 front bumper, and it is now beyond repair. Have looked at replacing it but they are $699 before shipping. But found a Nissan 300Z AIT Racing VS Style Front Bumper - N3090HIVSSFB. Is this front bumper going to any good, and as high quality?? Also is it being made of plastic a problem as previous one was fibre glass.
