I've just driven from Glasgow to Stirling in my zed in the pelting down white shit I made it, Just but good god was it the hardest drive of my life! Had a hold up in the roadworks for about 20 minutes on the slightest of hills and I really thought the old girl wasnt going to make it. Ended up slithering up the entire slope at a 20" angle at tickover in second. Never before have I been so caught out in the snow in the wrong car! Been here about 20 minutes now and my heart is still going... For anyone who knows stirling, the most astonishing part is that I made it into the highland hotels carpark!

Ok so my nearside low beam bulb dies. I take out the bulb and clearly stamped on the bulb is H3C. Great, off I go to Halfords to get my replacement bulb. But, oh dear, there is no such labelled bulb on the rack of oh so many bulbs. A Halfords chappie comes along and asks if he can help. I tell him I'm after an H3C bulb but cannot see one on the rack. He shrugs and passes me to a spotty herbert who asks again what I am looking for. Patiently I explain I'm after an H3C bulb but cannot see one on the rack. "Did you bring in the bulb?" he asks. "No" I say...."it's an H3C" "Yes, but did you bring it with you?" "No, I shouldn't need to...it's an H3C. The bulb has …

  7. Hi All, After a recent set back with attempting to bond my rear spoiler to tailgate, the ms polymer adhesive never set  I was wondering if my Z would pass the MOT with the holes in the tailgate? (the holes being the original spoiler mounting holes, 6 small holes and the letter box size cut out) Thanks :shuriken:

Hi, Could someone help with a very straight forward question please regarding a battery? I have a 1990 Jap Import Fairlady and need a new battery, unfortunately I got rid of the old one a good while ago so have nothing to compare to new one. Can anyone suggest what battery I should get please as I don't know whether the terminals are set differntly to a UK model? Not after anything fancy, just an average battery to get the car started prior to MoT. Many thanks in advance. Pob

I need to replace my alternator and starter motor as they have both started to play up. Gonzo12c has both for sale in the for sale thread but they are from an Auto. My Question is, will they both fit and work with my UK manual? This is what he said when i asked, but i just want to double check before i part with my money :p Any help would be much appreciated :)

Morning all, looking for some more help !, i decided to replace the standard gauges in my jap spec 93 300 ZX TT, i bought a new set from a later model which are a lovely silver white colour on the face, when comparing the two units whilst they are similar save for the following , the new type unit has slightly different connections on the back, nor does it have two sockets either side of the binnacle like ears, physically they are the same size, can i simply insert the new clocks into the old panel, will they still work correctly etc

I've seen this company who offer grounding kits for loads of different cars (including Z32's) and wondered if anyone has experimented with improving their vehicle earthing? I know in the electronics world, earthing components correctly has a massive impact on the overall performance of the circuits and I am interested to know if anyone has tried this on their Zed and if there was any significant difference? The link is http://www.groundingkits.co.uk/ After reading the blurb, click on "products" and scroll down to see the link for the Z32 kit...

I'm back, I'm pleased to say I am Zed'd again, thanks to pmf300zx, we have agreed a deal on a 92 auto TT :hyper::hyper: So will do some basics to get a MOT and her back on the road, a few suitable mods and cosmetic work. just bought a pair of 70mm smleds as im going 99 spec and dont want fog/side lights they are a little on the ugly side though and having second thoughts. i know some will think they are naff but i thing they will be good if evecuted well i was thinking i will either make my own from some clear rod or perhaps just put some clear rod infront of the ring (bent into a ring of course.) also do i need resistors or as i suspect are they built in. i need these to look spot on as my car is all about the detail. on a side note has anyone ever thought about using projectors for the main beams and can you get main beam hid kits?

Passed my Mot today, not strictly me but my Zed did. Only problem was lack of foglight, but a quick solution was found and straight through she went. So pleased I went out and bought GT5 and I don't even like computer games. Busily crashing an F40 as I write this :cool3::walkman::gun_bandana:

Basically i've manage to fill my engine with dirty water, filling piston 1,3 and five and flooding one side of the engine. But because i wasnt near my house but then knew i had to act quickly before the rusting started, so used what i had which ended up to be diesel mixed with oil, so i used this to free my engine and now its running fine with no noises! (lucky me) but the problem is i was on my way to the MOT center, so now have no tax or MOT but have smoke coming from the exhasts, from the diesel and oil sitting in them! How do i get it out as dont think it will pass its omissions test like this!!

Yesterday Jimmer got my car running...:tongue_smilie: started straight up and purrrrred into life. Few bits left to do like a gearbox leak MOT and some bits on the suspension then all the mechanical stuff is done. What is also remarkable is that was with John Dixons Emerald fitting done without the car running. John and Jimmer are going to do the final Emeraldl adjustments soon, sort the traction control out, full throttle gear changes, and the NOS then this little baby will finally be tearing the rubber up :shifty: at long long last. The NOS is going to come on at low revs so their will be less than no lag. I cant wait to get this baby on the dyno! Word…

Well, after the small indent i managed to get after a date with a central reservation barrier that didn't work out too well, and then sorting out the water leak, went and bought a 50 pioneer plasma last night off of ebay, the guy was quite nice and let me go pick it up, even though it was in Thetford, some 79 miles away. Anyway, was a nice drive. loved every minute of it. didn't push it at all, she held her temp, no strange incidents with the rear end or the sudden rev's, in fact she was that nice to drive i didn't want to get out once i had got to the guys house. anyway, lowered the back seats, and slotted the 50" in, just laid it on top of a quilt i took with me, …
