I know its not 300zx releated but would like a bit of advise on this car amp I have as I am a bit of a noob when it comes to car audio, and also where I'm going to be mounting it I don't think it will be accessable easily for a slight tuning session, so I would like peoples thoughts on some good basic settings please :) I have a gto 6000 5 channel amp quite old I know but don't cost a fortune anymore :) fronts are infinity 6x9 (3way) rears are edge 6 inch components for mid & treble In the boot is a 12" jbl sub which takes up a third of the boot. the settings on the amp are 4. Does anybody know what colours the +/- wires are in the window control bulb part of the loom? (the bulb that lights up the door controls when the headlights go on). I am fitting one 3mm ultra bright led per door to my (wait for it) 'original car spare illuminating ring bulb holders' that will be soldered into this part of the loom. Multimeter shows 11v with alternator not running, so will go with a 12v resistor for these. On my JDM Z32 there is no loom for the plugs; plus I could not fit these anyway as they are U.S and are the wrong way around (originally bought for the plastic bits that the circlips keep on). Bulb will be going into where the original g…

Has anyone else noticed that zed prices seem to be on the way up? Just in general now i have been looking around the prices have gone up since i bought mine 2 years ago. Now there does seem to be a few bogus people that believe an automatic is worth 7k or that their engine might be producing 800bhp which looks good in theory but even the worst off zeds people are looking for higher prices. I think some of them need a reality check or at least join a forum and find out really what it is worth Marty

Is there anywhere in the uk that sells them? I found one in the US for $1462, which works out at £905 before all the taxes and shipping etc. I can see that figure getting much higher. Are they for sale over here at that sort of price? I need a new engine, but if i buy another second hand one, how do i know how good it is? Also, i plan to push a bit of power, so its best to do it right first time. Ive got a good engine in my breaker, but i could sell that as a good running engine to go towards the cost of a rebuild, and why use that engine to want uprated parts soon anyway...

I had a battery drain of 0.21 amps and traced it to the interior light. I have been doing stuff to the car and left the drivers door open for a few days, but i switched off the interior light thinking everything would be ok. How wrong i was, with the door open and interior light switched off its 0.21 and with the door closed its 0.04, im surprired by this simply because the bulb is not lit regardless of the door being open or closed.

Hi Chaps, I might be needing a new pair of discs for my K-sport 330mm front kit. Replacements are looking very expensive, just wondering if anyone knows of a common disc replacement from another car? Cheers...

Just installed a new nismo guage cluster in my series 4 1996 TT but the boost guage doesn't seem to work. The previous cluster i removed didn't have a boost guage so could there be something missing or disabled that needs to be fixed before it works ?

Im at the point of trying to remove the 2 pipes from the engine bay that lead through the bulkhead into the back of the heater matrix, I seem to have very little to no room to be able to access these 2 pipes, has anyone had to remove anything from the engine bay to be able to get to these pipes properly. even if i manage to remove them with a long screwdriver, there is no way i can get at them to put them back on when im re-installing the heater matrix. The dash is fully removed, it is a manual and still has the clutch in place. leigh

Am i right in thinking that the maf is on the way out? It used to hiccup when it spooled but now it does it all the time. I had put the maf in the airing cupboard overnight and it seemed to fix it. Now it does it all the time. Worst of all when its cold, i assume thats because the hotter it gets the more it dries the maf out. Thanks guys Mark

Need opinions guys. My girlfriend has asked me what i want for christmas. My choice has been narrowed down to either an 89 spec spoiler or a 99 spec, from Dave Car Mad. Need to remove the high level one i have. But am faced with the dilema. If i go for the 89, i will need to source the light. If i go for the 99, i will then be wanting a 99 front. But in the future, the zed is going low and smooth. want to keep it looking as sleek as possible. Regardless Carmad will be getting the business. All for the 94 UK in black Which one???

We own zeds for a reason. Just having it is enough. But luckily for me i do all my own work. Part of the work that we should adhere to is basic maintenance. Like regular checks of oil, water, coilpacks, injectors and fluid levels. Not teaching you guys new things of course. Every other week or so, i make sure is it working as it should, regular servicing with decent parts makes all the difference. If something isnt right, then sort it. To add to this, in the last couple of weeks i have noticed that the water level was dropping, i have been keeping an eye on it, but nothing was clearly obvious, only a small amount, even after a good fast drive, but still, losing it som…
