I've seen this company who offer grounding kits for loads of different cars (including Z32's) and wondered if anyone has experimented with improving their vehicle earthing? I know in the electronics world, earthing components correctly has a massive impact on the overall performance of the circuits and I am interested to know if anyone has tried this on their Zed and if there was any significant difference? The link is http://www.groundingkits.co.uk/ After reading the blurb, click on "products" and scroll down to see the link for the Z32 kit...

Just when you thought I would be off....... I'm back, I'm pleased to say I am Zed'd again, thanks to pmf300zx, we have agreed a deal on a 92 auto TT :hyper::hyper: So will do some basics to get a MOT and her back on the road, a few suitable mods and cosmetic work. That'll tide me over into next spring/summer while I hatch my plan....... Watch this space, another BIG power one again me thinks :devil2::devil2:

just bought a pair of 70mm smleds as im going 99 spec and dont want fog/side lights they are a little on the ugly side though and having second thoughts. i know some will think they are naff but i thing they will be good if evecuted well i was thinking i will either make my own from some clear rod or perhaps just put some clear rod infront of the ring (bent into a ring of course.) also do i need resistors or as i suspect are they built in. i need these to look spot on as my car is all about the detail. on a side note has anyone ever thought about using projectors for the main beams and can you get main beam hid kits?

Passed my Mot today, not strictly me but my Zed did. Only problem was lack of foglight, but a quick solution was found and straight through she went. So pleased I went out and bought GT5 and I don't even like computer games. Busily crashing an F40 as I write this :cool3::walkman::gun_bandana:

Basically i've manage to fill my engine with dirty water, filling piston 1,3 and five and flooding one side of the engine. But because i wasnt near my house but then knew i had to act quickly before the rusting started, so used what i had which ended up to be diesel mixed with oil, so i used this to free my engine and now its running fine with no noises! (lucky me) but the problem is i was on my way to the MOT center, so now have no tax or MOT but have smoke coming from the exhasts, from the diesel and oil sitting in them! How do i get it out as dont think it will pass its omissions test like this!!

Yesterday Jimmer got my car running...:tongue_smilie: started straight up and purrrrred into life. Few bits left to do like a gearbox leak MOT and some bits on the suspension then all the mechanical stuff is done. What is also remarkable is that was with John Dixons Emerald fitting done without the car running. John and Jimmer are going to do the final Emeraldl adjustments soon, sort the traction control out, full throttle gear changes, and the NOS then this little baby will finally be tearing the rubber up :shifty: at long long last. The NOS is going to come on at low revs so their will be less than no lag. I cant wait to get this baby on the dyno! Word…

Well, after the small indent i managed to get after a date with a central reservation barrier that didn't work out too well, and then sorting out the water leak, went and bought a 50 pioneer plasma last night off of ebay, the guy was quite nice and let me go pick it up, even though it was in Thetford, some 79 miles away. Anyway, was a nice drive. loved every minute of it. didn't push it at all, she held her temp, no strange incidents with the rear end or the sudden rev's, in fact she was that nice to drive i didn't want to get out once i had got to the guys house. anyway, lowered the back seats, and slotted the 50" in, just laid it on top of a quilt i took with me, …

I have a 91 import zx and it has TWEED SEATS!! anyway I would love to replace them at somepoint with leather but I don't have the money at the moment. I was just wondering what i could do to reapair the seat for the time being. Its a blue grey tweed seat and the rip is where they normally go on the right hand side of the drivers bolster. Everytime I get in and out of the car foam from the seat just flakes of onto the floor and its really annoying and looks rubbish, so what can i do? cheers people

  14. As above, got out the car after a short steady drive and whilst walking away noticed exhaust smoking a little. Not noticed it before, could it just be the cold weather? Going for it's mot today, and then got to book it in with Mark as it's over fueling, is this another connected reason perhaps? Any advice/opinions welcome. Thanks.

Another call to arms folks... if anyone is about this Sunday and gets bored with sitting on the sofa watching Eastenders reruns, we will be working on my car in Ascot trying desperately to get the manual conversion done as soon as possible. This week i think i will be making some nice authentic Chinese food for anyone who is kind enough to lend a hand - poping down the chinese supermarket tomorrow to get some supplies..... or if that fails i will just have to think of something else to cook equally tastey. Thanks guys, and thanks again to those who have already helped us out so far.

Does anybody know what colours the +/- wires are in the window control bulb part of the loom? (the bulb that lights up the door controls when the headlights go on). I am fitting one 3mm ultra bright led per door to my (wait for it) 'original car spare illuminating ring bulb holders' that will be soldered into this part of the loom. Multimeter shows 11v with alternator not running, so will go with a 12v resistor for these. On my JDM Z32 there is no loom for the plugs; plus I could not fit these anyway as they are U.S and are the wrong way around (originally bought for the plastic bits that the circlips keep on). Bulb will be going into where the original g…
