Hi, as above, took z out earlier and notice one rear light out, just wondered if there is a fuse or do I need new light loom thingy? indicators work but no power to rear lights? cheers Lisa

I like the city of Bath any time of year, but this week they have a Christmas market so we decided to pay a visit. It was a nice crisp sunny morning after the fog lifted and what better than a ZX for a 100 mile drive each way. I love the M4 when it's empty and cold; especially if there are 3 litres and 2 turbos at my disposal.....:whistling: We had a good day out, soaked up the Christmas atmosphere and enjoyed lunch in The Pump Room. On the way home from helping out zhoodyx on removing his heater matrix my cat warning light came on a few times. I slowed down and the light went off again but i wasn't doing more than 70 and didn't floor it at all at anypoint on the way home. Later on i nipped out to pick up a chinese and the car felt really raspy and felt as if it was choking at idle when i stopped at traffic lights. You think that my cats are on there last life or could there be something else ?

Ok as most of you know my Z has been off the road a while on a sorn, I’m now trying to get it ready for an MOT and get on with a few things it needs I removed the original rear spoiler and planned to fit a fibre glass replacement i purchased from a club member After numerous attempts to fit it i gave up pending getting a mate to help me who is a little more experienced. has anyone has a problem with the fitting of these on their car, in particular the right side touching the body of the car at the front slightly, and if so how did you rectify this? ive had mine fitted and they match up great, but just where the bend is it thouches the underside of the car on under the drives side. Im not,rearwheel drive in a hilly place equals frustrated front wheel drivers stuck behind me if i take it out.haha!But twice this week I was driving along around 30-40mph when both occasions a car pulled out of their driveway in front of me making lock up and sh*t myself thinking im gonna rear end them,and then making me crawl along behind them at a ridiculous slow speed,and when theres slush in the middle of the lanes its a bit hairy trying to overtake!At least wait till the car coming passes you before you pull out and crawl with your white knuckles and rigid hunch over the steeringwheel.I really think new drivers should be put on a skid pan to learn driving in snow an…

Can anyone advise me on the physical differences between uk and us spec bumpers for the 300zx tt please!? I believe the US rear has the side markers but thats about all i know, what sizes are the plate recess, are the interchangeable with uk? any photos of differences? im thinking about changing so just wanted to know any possible issues etc before pursuing the conversion!

Made a start on the sub enclosures for my slicktop this morning. Got as far as finishing the templates before i got offered free Arsenal tickets. Here is where i got to. Firstly scribe the top part to fit snug with trim Then scribe the front panel where the speaker will be fitted Mark the top and cut to suit and there you have a sub enclosure for a SWB Sorry for size of pics but i don't know how to reduce them. I'll update as i progress. Any comments/advice is welcomed and encouraged. Cheers guys :rockon:

Jeff sent me some pics yesterday of the wide body kit , so no pics to post on here as our firewall prohibits it and the off the pc method doesnot work ....anyway its looking good and going smooth .....not long before its up and running and turning many heads no doubt..and with 450 BHP at the wheels and a leader gear set in the diff it will no doubt be a car and a half to drive.........look out lancaster :) :)

Now ive got my breaker out of the way, i started on the red zed this week. Well, the story so far.... I bought it from a fella member on here, and its had other owners on here too. The engine and turbos were shot. It looked near mint in the advert, but when i went to see it i was disapointed. It had had a full respray, but in real life, its not very good:hammer: Other parts of the car made me walk away. Whilst looking for 300ZX stuff on the internet, I came across this.... "eBay Find of the Day: 1991 Nissan 300ZX Spyder concept" I then did a search on this site and could not find any mention of it. OK, the add is a bit out of date - 18th November, but I thought there might have been a bit of discussion about it here. Any one know if it has been sold yet? Got me a dyno session in solihull tomorrow morning! Im interested to see what my zed is kicking out now, and serves as a good benchmark before further tuning. Its a 1990 zed, TT Manual, 73k on the clock. Engine mods are an apexi induction kit, decatted and custom exhaust, and slightly larger ARC intercoolers. No other mods. Question is - what HP is it gonna make? (At the wheels) To start the ball rolling, my target is 250hp at the wheels, so with a 20% loss through drivetrain, gets me up to 300hp again! Closest to the actual answer gets the respect and admiration of other forum members. what more could you want :)

Where should the needle roughly be on tickover my old car used to be not quite fully to left. My new cars sits nearly to the middle. where should it sit and could there be a problem. cheers

Took my car to Jimmer last Sunday for work on fitting clutch, fly and SMICs with the instructions that I needed the car back within the week. Jimmer worked evenings after his day job to get the work done and I managed to pick it up last night....it really did feel like a completely different car! Just a massive thanks to Jim for doing the work so quickly and as always, the service was excellent!
