General Discussions - 300ZX Related

Made a start on the sub enclosures for my slicktop this morning. Got as far as finishing the templates before i got offered free Arsenal tickets. Here is where i got to. Firstly scribe the top part to fit snug with trim Then scribe the front panel where the speaker will be fitted Mark the top and cut to suit and there you have a sub enclosure for a SWB Sorry for size of pics but i don't know how to reduce them. I'll update as i progress. Any comments/advice is welcomed and encouraged. Cheers guys :rockon:

Jeff sent me some pics yesterday of the wide body kit , so no pics to post on here as our firewall prohibits it and the off the pc method doesnot work ....anyway its looking good and going smooth .....not long before its up and running and turning many heads no doubt..and with 450 BHP at the wheels and a leader gear set in the diff it will no doubt be a car and a half to drive.........look out lancaster :) :)

Now ive got my breaker out of the way, i started on the red zed this week. Well, the story so far.... I bought it from a fella member on here, and its had other owners on here too. The engine and turbos were shot. It looked near mint in the advert, but when i went to see it i was disapointed. what injectors are best for my car? Hoping to increase boost to approx 13psi in the summer, currently got an induction kit, de-cat, mines ecu? Wheres the best place to buy these injectors? Cheers, Dan

Whilst looking for 300ZX stuff on the internet, I came across this.... "eBay Find of the Day: 1991 Nissan 300ZX Spyder concept" I then did a search on this site and could not find any mention of it. OK, the add is a bit out of date - 18th November, but I thought there might have been a bit of discussion about it here. Any one know if it has been sold yet? Got me a dyno session in solihull tomorrow morning! Im interested to see what my zed is kicking out now, and serves as a good benchmark before further tuning. Its a 1990 zed, TT Manual, 73k on the clock. Engine mods are an apexi induction kit, decatted and custom exhaust, and slightly larger ARC intercoolers. No other mods. Question is - what HP is it gonna make? (At the wheels) To start the ball rolling, my target is 250hp at the wheels, so with a 20% loss through drivetrain, gets me up to 300hp again! Closest to the actual answer gets the respect and admiration of other forum members. what more could you want :)

Where should the needle roughly be on tickover my old car used to be not quite fully to left. My new cars sits nearly to the middle. where should it sit and could there be a problem. cheers

Took my car to Jimmer last Sunday for work on fitting clutch, fly and SMICs with the instructions that I needed the car back within the week. Jimmer worked evenings after his day job to get the work done and I managed to pick it up last night....it really did feel like a completely different car! Just a massive thanks to Jim for doing the work so quickly and as always, the service was excellent! hi guys recently i asked about my car being limited to 110 mph as it wont go higher than that when on the open road... the other day i put the foot down in an open space and the speedo hit 240kmh wich obviously would be higher than 110mph any ideas what the idea is with this?

hi i've been having no end of problem with my blower motor not running. i've changed the relay and the amp but none of these seemed to have made a change to the situation. i tested the motor in the past wired directly to the a battery and it worked fine. i can only assume that there is either a positive or negative power supply issue. i have to make a temporary fix till the weather changes, just in case i have to make an emergency trip anywhere. I have read that the power can be by-passed and a switch can be put in place, can anyone sketch me a quick diagram outlining where the wires are to go on the plug going to the motor and which ones they are. i may find that t…

can anyone instruct me on how to empty the coolant overflow tank at the front of the engine bay, i want to do an entire coolant flush but have no idea on how to let the water out. having some troubles with air vents blowing warm and not hot. and in this weather thats bad news.:drool:

Had no idea this was coming. As some of you know I parked the zed up at the show and shine at Jap Show Finale which was being judged by Banzai Magazine. I didn't hang around for the judging results and thought that was the last of it. Had a flick through Banzai last night in Asda on the way home and saw two pictures of my car and some very complimentary words. How chuffed am I??!!! Glad to see they agree with the "Less is More" philosophy!! Anyone else spot it?

Dick brain me put his fingers inside the pc and took 3 blades from my processor fan and now its making a fooking stupid noise and I`m going to smash fook out of it ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh :crying: I`ve looked on flea bay for fans but there are hundreds, Its a quad core amd with a noisy fan ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh shut the fook up, HELP!!!!
