tried to change the three belts to get rid of a dreadful squeek, but the new ones that i was given wouldn't fit. they were to small, i can't remember the exact lengths now but i will find them out. so does anyone know the belts that i need? its a jap spec TT G plate model if that makes a difference. Thanks

Finally got my Z back after a week getting a makeover...pearlescent white to ice white (Audi Ibis White). Personally I love the new look and it's turned out even better than I expected. Looks a totally different car to before. Just the new wheels to put on... Hope you like it!

Just installed a new nismo guage cluster in my series 4 1996 TT but the boost guage doesn't seem to work. The previous cluster i removed didn't have a boost guage so could there be something missing or disabled that needs to be fixed before it works ?

Im at the point of trying to remove the 2 pipes from the engine bay that lead through the bulkhead into the back of the heater matrix, I seem to have very little to no room to be able to access these 2 pipes, has anyone had to remove anything from the engine bay to be able to get to these pipes properly. even if i manage to remove them with a long screwdriver, there is no way i can get at them to put them back on when im re-installing the heater matrix. The dash is fully removed, it is a manual and still has the clutch in place. leigh

Am i right in thinking that the maf is on the way out? It used to hiccup when it spooled but now it does it all the time. I had put the maf in the airing cupboard overnight and it seemed to fix it. Now it does it all the time. Worst of all when its cold, i assume thats because the hotter it gets the more it dries the maf out. Thanks guys Mark

Need opinions guys. My girlfriend has asked me what i want for christmas. My choice has been narrowed down to either an 89 spec spoiler or a 99 spec, from Dave Car Mad. Need to remove the high level one i have. But am faced with the dilema. If i go for the 89, i will need to source the light. If i go for the 99, i will then be wanting a 99 front. But in the future, the zed is going low and smooth. want to keep it looking as sleek as possible. Regardless Carmad will be getting the business. All for the 94 UK in black Which one???

We own zeds for a reason. Just having it is enough. But luckily for me i do all my own work. Part of the work that we should adhere to is basic maintenance. Like regular checks of oil, water, coilpacks, injectors and fluid levels. Not teaching you guys new things of course. Every other week or so, i make sure is it working as it should, regular servicing with decent parts makes all the difference. If something isnt right, then sort it. To add to this, in the last couple of weeks i have noticed that the water level was dropping, i have been keeping an eye on it, but nothing was clearly obvious, only a small amount, even after a good fast drive, but still, losing it som…

Well it's official, Project 1 has gone! It was taken to Germany on Friday and after renewing the 2 rads was running well. The 2 guys had a test drive, one a little scared with the power, the other who has a skyline gave it some beans but his face said it all- he was shocked with the power and started to get the end to step out at 70mph! The EVO is sold to now so only a Volvo to drive  On the hunt for a new cheap project now!

Pretty obvious really, but didn't realise just how much of a difference my new tyres would make. Had Falken 452's fitted all round and the car feels so much more stable and planted. Had budgets on before which came with the car and the rear always felt a bit 'skittish' even in the dry. Now with my new MeisterR setup and alignment by Silverbullet, coupled with the new tyres the car is transformed. Stereo on LOUD, not a cloud in the sky, clear roads, tank full of motion lotion........Good times

What's best silenced or non silenced de cats for my turbo? It has a 3" cat back with 5" back boxes so don't want it to spoil the sound but don't want it any noisier?

Does anyone use any sort of prewash when washing your cars? Is there a foam that is applied before you wash it? Vijay

The exterior roof trims on my ZX could do with taking off the black Vinyl like material and showing the chrome or taking off and replacing. Its thetwo off roof trims (the small lengths to the rear of the roof) plus the two targa panel trims and the windscreen pillar trims. They are the only bit of my motor that externally doesn't do it any favours. How are they removed? Are they held by clips or screws etc? Ta in advance

Has anyone used DP Motorsport for alloys and tyres? They seem pretty good value and their feedback is exceptional. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/DP-MOTORSPORT-CAR-MOD-S/_i.html?_nkw=300zx&submit=Search&_sid=99025700 What do you think? Is it worth seeing if we can get a member discount or are there other suppliers that are already associated with our club that offer an equivalent service?

I've got a slight missfire / rough running problem on my TT. It only happens on a very light throttle, such as when maintaining a constant speed. If I put my foot down a bit more, the car runs fine. I've cleaned most of the connectors, the MAF sensor and the throttle bodies. Any one got any ideas?

  21. Started by PerpetualZero,

My wheels that are on just now are running 235/35 front and 265/30 rear but I could be doing with putting my other 19's on for winter. The winter wheels are in need of a new set of boots, but im unsure as to what size to go for! What is everyone else running that runs 19's? Just now im looking at 245/35 and 275/30 on the principle of price mainly! Ideally I'd love 40's front and rear for them but at £240+ a tire

  22. Started by RichardS,

I hadn't used my ZX for about 4 weeks so I decided to take it for a run this morning. It fired up immediately (I had barely turned the key) and with no knocks or rattles....... I had originally intended to go to Sainsbury's and back - about a 15 mile round trip - but I was enjoying myself so much that I just kept driving. I ended up covering 50 miles!!! It made me remember how great a car the 300zx is and how much I missed driving it. So when we go out for the day tomorrow, I think I know which car we'll take..... Richard:cool3:

My car came with a oil temp gauge. what is the ideal temp it should be showing? as mine can fluctuate between 85 and 96. it does have a dodgy connection somewhere as well as it can suddenly jump to 115 or 125, but then if you tap it it drops back down to around 80 to 90.
