after todays visit, i can highly recommend any1 that hasnt been to zedworld to get emselfs down there! after some trouble finding the place i was greeted with coffee and toast, while they took my car to the workshop. when the testing was done jeff talked me thru everything about the car, which is thankfully in pretty good condition, and suggested things that needed or could be done. a great check up for a good price cheers jeff

I've always wanted to drive abroad in my own car, hire cars are good but I'd love to take the Z over. Probably going to Cote d'Azur, which is right at the bottom of the country. Has anyone got any advice or recommendations, obviously fully service the car and make sure I have european assistance? Is it a bad idea? LOL :helpsmilie:

Hi I tried fitting the N/A pump and bracket today with the lightened TT pulley only to find that the pulley doesnt line up with the crank very well when fitting the belt. Am i doing something wrong? Or is that as good as it gets when doing this mod? Thanks Dan

Hi Chaps, I believe the correct amount of diff oil for europe models is 2.1 litres. However, there is probably about 2.5 litres in mins, did it with diff off car and turned on side... does it matter that there is extra fluid in there? Sorry for no brainer question im sure - just a bit paranoid because I have spent ages getting the old one off and want to make sure every thing is ok! Cheers, Tom

I've been driving my car to almost empty to see what I can get out of a tank...I've been waiting for the fuel light to come on and now on the empty line with no light, is this normal? I believe the light is meant to get brighter as the fuel gets emptier, but I have no light at all.

Just stumbled across this (quote): Throttle body modification: The throttle body modification isn’t going to be the biggest gain in hp in the world, but the best part is, it’s FREE! In case you missed that, yes, its completely free! All you need for this modification is a metal file or a 10mm wrench (depending on what year 300zx). All you have to do is simply remove a nut or a bump of molded aluminum that is sitting right by your throttle cable. This bump or nut is preventing your throttle from being able to open completely. By allowing it to open completely you’ve increased your air flow which increases your horse power. Is this true/worthwhile?

Interesting how the applications of " ecu chips" well eproms really have evolved for the Z32 over the last decade or so. We ae familiar with the big name ecu tuners from Japan such as Veilside, Central 20, Blitz, and of course John Wolf technology from the US. Along the way we have come across many different lesser names chips in breakers and ecu we are fitting our eproms in, most of which are similar if not the same as each other. Here are a few odd and viirtually unknown ones amongst a couple of known names, like Superchips and DTA. Here is a pile of standard eproms we have removed when fitting improved ones, again the variety of eprom numb…

Im looking at getting some coilovers from a mate of a friend lol! All I know about coilovers is that you can adjust the height and they stiffen the suspension but is there other things I need for fitting them? Like camber arms or new dampers etc as im on a budget at the moment. These coilovers are HKS and from a R32 skyline but im sure I read these fit. He wants £250 for the set front and back but small problem I hope :) One of the coilovers has a broken valve which I think is called "schrader valve" from what I found on google. Is this a major problem or not?

Anyway, the car is she stands before the work begins, only 56k on the clock!

Hey, Ok, can someone please tell me what the 'Rec' and 'Ecom' (or Econ?) buttons do? Also, does everyone else's reset back to 25 degrees when you restart the car? I wish it would remember my last settings! Cheers! Edit - Whilst I'm asking, what exactly does the Auto button do, just hold the temp at whatever temp is set? That's what I figure it does?

I found out today the the seat joysticks go left and right too, tilting the drivers seat and heightens it too I think. The passenger seat only goes forward and back and has level tilt, should it do more like the drivers seat?

Just started my Z up after many months and its idling at 4,000 revs. Theres no exhaust from cat back on, so sounds pretty bad. Ive had the plenum off and 555 injectors added with new ecu. I probs have some vacuum hoses wrong but do I need to do anything due to the new ecu?

turned teh key today to move her from round the back and she fired up straight away after being stood for a few weeks, not even so much as a thought of not starting :D sems to be good like that. touched the acceleratior and a horrid grinding rubbing noise came from the engine bay, took my foot off it stopped. :/ i went a bit pale at this point thinking please no you were behaving so well recently. I stopped panicing popped the bonnet and applyed a touch the throttle, noise came back used my eyes and ears the fan shroad was rubbing on the fan. 30 secnds later panic over problem sorted. i think was a turning point.
