I've just picked up a set of Japspeed hard pipes to replace the standard rubber intake piping, I spent about an hour trying to fit them yesterday and cannot for the life of me get them on, they seem about 5mm too long. My current thinking is to try and shorten them a fraction, I'm just wondering if there's a reason I shouldn't do this? Or if anyone has another suggestion? Returning them isn't an option as I bought them second-hand (but unused) at a great price.

Hey folks im about to order some clear markers for my rear bumper from CZP if anyone would like me to get them some or any other small bits from CZP and could share the postage. I already have 2 people wanting some from elsewhere. Am only trying to help if the mods feel like deleting this thread not for personal gain. Here are the markers anyway they are $40 and CZP have said postage will be about $40 using USPS priority mail http://www.conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=205&Car_Type=300&UID=2011012400205494.195.172.103 Marty

Ok, quick bit of background. My headlights were re-wired by the previous owner, I'm not sure why, but I'm left with no fog lights or interior lights / boot light. I have no permanent (switched) main beam, it obviously isn't wired through the relay which does this. The original headlight wires have been snipped from the loom and 'hard wired' directly to the battery and a switch on the side of the light pod. One main beam is wired up, the other is not, no plug for the bulb, nothing... This is all something I can all sort out later, somehow. Today whilst stripping the centre console I noticed an earth not connected, so I connected it. This fixed the clock, bu…

Anyone else having fun in these icy conditions? had to drive back to my office late when the roads were quiet and very cold - have definitely noticed the lack of grip when summer tyres are really cold! Theres just one corner going onto the estate thats a lot of fun, sharp left turn then give a little bootful in second on the apex to have the back swing out a little, and a nice second gear roundabout - so far ive only had the car a few months and been taking it gingerly, but my first experience of a bit of power oversteer and it was alright, car didnt bite as much as i thought it might with so much torque and the power delivery of a turbo! probably helped by a long wh…

Can anyone tell me if these are cats or pre-silencers? I have no cat further up towards the engine, which is why I wondered if these were cats, fitted by someone trying to piece a system together using universal bits. It's very loud, so if these are pre-silencers they're not doing a very good job. Haven't seen any other Zeds with a similar system, I think I'm the only one, they're a pain for catching on things.

Got some 6x9s (Kenwood KFC 6907) and wanted to know whether they would fit ok in the front doors? Is anyone able to help? Just thought I'd ask the question before taking the cards off. also, I assume I won't need an amp to run these? I assumed they would run just fine off the headunit. Thanks

I think this is possibly aimed more at the guys on here who have made custom sub boxes in the past... ...I got a Kenwood KFC WS303 12" small enclosure sub off the forum a while back. Just tested it and it does produce sound (which is good as it was free!). Now...I need a sub box and have googled around and I should be able to get one off the internet but was thinking, it would be much much better to have an enclosure that sat well in the Zed's boot, or even better....if I were to remove the spare wheel...in the area left behind?? http://www.carreview.com/cat/car-audio/subwoofers/kenwood/PRD_50752_1808crx.aspx So my questions: 1. For a sub like this, is…

Hi all, is it possible to run a 300ZX Z32 NA 1989 model on ordinary unleaded petrol? I have been using premium, and it's no problem for me to keep using the premium, but thought if I could get away with ordinary unleaded might as well save some pennies. Cheers everyone.

Does anybody with a turbo time have this problem: Basically dads 300zx has a hks turbo timer fitted to it. What i would like to know is....is it normal for the car to unlock its doors after the engine switches off? (using its turbo timer) Could it be an alarm problem or turbo timer problem? Car had a Toad alarm fitted. Whole point is to leave the turbos to cool down and locking the car enabling you to leave and not having to wait lol

Hi, I recently took my dash to bits, fitted LED bulbs in my clocks and put everything back together, only thing I never put back was a bulb in my parking brake light in the clocks... When I turn my key to on the Turbo Timer does not light, countdown or anything, I have tried resetting it was the two reset buttons it says in the manual but nothing. Only thing it does do is beep when I turn the ignition off nd pull out the key (like it did when the timer counted down and switched the engine off itself)?? Any ideas?? Is it me, or? Maybe a fuse has gone somewhere? I heard the Turbo Timer has a fuse inside it somewhere. Thanks, Ant

Ok so admit that I have negelected the Z lately and have started her up for over 8 weeks. Tried to fire her up this morning and nothing apart from what sounded like the injectors ticking/firing. Could it just be the batterys gone flat, (on charge now anyway) or is it something else?

With my daily driver written off and the Z now having to step up, what do I need to be aware of as far as doing regular high mileages in the Z is concerned? Any additional maintenance I need to carry out? Do any of you do regular high mileages in your Z? Any parts/components that need special attention/more regular replacement? Thanks.
