Ok so admit that I have negelected the Z lately and have started her up for over 8 weeks. Tried to fire her up this morning and nothing apart from what sounded like the injectors ticking/firing. Could it just be the batterys gone flat, (on charge now anyway) or is it something else?

With my daily driver written off and the Z now having to step up, what do I need to be aware of as far as doing regular high mileages in the Z is concerned? Any additional maintenance I need to carry out? Do any of you do regular high mileages in your Z? Any parts/components that need special attention/more regular replacement? Thanks.

Hi all, The gas struts which hold up my tailgate have failed. What's the best solution? I assume I need new ones; does anyone have a pair that works well or is there a way of re-gassing them (I doubt it but worth a try!). All suggestions welcome; as you can imagine, it's a pain opening it at the moment. Thanks, Shamaz

hi guys, Just wondered why my z stalls after engaging reverse sometimes? Good news: finally up to £611 on the 28th of this month to get the heads skimmed and gaskets done. Woo! Wondering whether to get a full check of engine and all parts after overheating before doing the job? *thinks* wonder how much Jeff does the full check over and work for? Pm me a price JeffTT.... Thanks.

More help needed, i understand that it is possible to refurbish the adjusters on 300 ZX headlights, ive just tried to re align mine and the rotten things turn but do nothing at all to the headlight beam, can anybody give me a decent procedure on how to Remove the headlights from the car as it seems to be a nightmare job, and where i can buy a decent set of gears to refurb the adjuster units, ( im told Tamiya model gears may work but need a lot more info ) any help very gratefully received thank you Neil

Well the good news is it fits!-this is the kit, I was worried the arms looked weedy in the ad but they are 14mm so happy with that! Just a quick measure to set up the arms when fitted, Then took off the old rack, valve,Solenoid etc. The bar fitted, this needed one hole elongated about a mm to fit but that's the only issue I had. Next job was to remove the outer ball joints, this is how I do them, takes 10 mins each. The 'Top-hat' alloy inserts then fitted along with the arms, Adjusted to the measurements taken and I have a tight arse! So all in all I'm happy with the Quality, fit etc.Time will tell if it's up to the job!…

Had a bit of a play last night and managed to get my brake servo apart. has anyone ever had one chromed before. i would not normally go for this but my engine bay is going to be really stripped out so this might add a bit of interest. the engine bay is totally smoothed etc and there will be nothing other than the engine and brake servo in there. colour scheme is strictly black and silver what do you lot think

Ok, I've removed (by sheering off and chiselling) the two obvious bolts that hold on the OEM spoiler. I'm sure I've seen a pic somewhere of the spoiler removed showing many bold holes, but I can't find anymore bolts. So is it held on with adhesive, do I simply rip it off now using force, maybe heat it a little first? I'm sure this must have been asked before but not finding anything with the search.

Hi guys been a while since i been on here someone might remember my 300z's engine went last year after running high boost i posted a video of the nosie the engine was making. Anyway i had a look under the car today for the first time. I was surprised to find the leak in between the engine and gearbox their is also a shard of metal lodged in between. And 1 of the bolts that holds the box to the engine is gone literally blown off with just half a thread were it once was. Any ideas here is it the main crankshaft bearing gone?
