having trouble with the car reading slightly above, the 1/4 mark on the stock gauge, been looking for days but cant seem to find any info as to what could make the engine run cold? had a new thermostat in a few months ago... so can i rule that out? i did however develop a rad leak ,and put some rad stop leak addatvie in, might this of damaged the opening or closing mechanisms of the thermostat? new rad is fitted, coolant is topped up with no leaks, and is still high. no air locks in the system... any suggestions please.

Hi all, I'm giving my brakes a full overhaul shortly, Braided hoses bigger disc's etc, you get the pic. When it comes to the brake fluid whats best? Dot 4 Super dot 4 Dot 5.1 silicon based but fine for ABS or any other options and opinions? Cheers Guys :rockon:

I will try to push my engine to 430-460 bhp. is 555cc injectors is enough ? What part do I need to push to that power? Got a new Z to add to the family :dance: :nana2: Took a trip over to great yarmouth today to meet Grimmer & check out the Z he was selling. After my bad experience driving a gazillion miles to look at a rotten Z the other day, I was pleasantly suprised to find a nice honest tidy motor and a bloody nice chap selling it. :thumbup1: Will add some pictures tomorrow, I'm hoping for dry weather as I'm spending the day swapping some bits over from my white one. I've got a set of Stern 17" Reverse Face II wheels which I understand are quite rare - and that's probably why I can't find any spare centre caps for sale anywhere. I was wondering if anyone on here would know if there's a place that would be able to take the one centre cap I have and make copies for the other wheels? Thanks in advance, James

Got my meisters fitted today and noticed the bushes look a bit funny ! There off the rear left and right sides, do these need replaced ?

Evening all.. i have a sort of knocking noise and it sometimes creaks when i go over a bump i have replaced the tension rod bushes and also just fitted the meister susspension units but i still seam to have this noise and no its not much to go on any ideas what it could be or worth trying

Just thought id put up some pictures of the Z and a brief list of what ive done over the past month or 2. 1. Removed spolier and bought strip which has been carbon wrapped. 2. Removed rear wiper. 3. Spent 2 weeks in a body shop and had all the boot holes and wiper hole welded up and fully smoothed and i treat the car to a full respray in its original colour. 4. Wrapped roof in carbon 3M 6. Brand spanking new Rota Bronze GTR alloys. 7. Meister R coilovers 8. DW Kit to rear Photos where taken with a mobile so not great but some good eye candy i reckon and absoulutley adore its new look. enjoy...:lol:

Got a set of bonnet pins on the carbon fiber hood on my breaker which im keeping but I cant get the tabs to close, anyone had this happen?? or am i being thick?? dont want to push down to hard incase i snap one in the cold any help cheers craig

Hi Jeff just wondered if i could book in with you for a consult check on my car as it is running in saftey boost (i believe) and i cant source the issue even when trying the do it yourself tests. All fuses been checked and are fine so probably best to get it on the computer. The one query i did have is would it be safe to drive all the way to birmingham ?? can i book in for next friday as this is when i get paid :D ?

right she starts up fine but after a couple of minuts theyrs a wee bit of a kinda rattle tapping sound then the revs creep up to just under 1k for around ..well about the time it takes to heat up the the revs drop to 7-850rpm i know its cold right now and this might be a reason.but its the rattly tapping sound thats worring. i remember reading that thyrs an additive to stop this but i cant remember what it is. thanks in advance

hello! how many boost do you think is safe to run in 98 RON (BP, shell etc) for our engines? 1.6 bar (23psi) ? 1.4 (20 psi)? I put this question because in the other side of the atlantic the max they run in they 93 mon pump is 1.1 bar (17psi). cheers :gunsmilie:

A little oil leak that can suddenly become a gusher is no joke not least for your driveway but potentially dangerous for your engine, cam end seals are parts of the scheduled cambelt service but the impending oil gusher prompted the strip down in the pics below, noticed on a routine standard assessment the alternator and underside was awash with engine oil, stripping down to cam end seal point requires a fair bit of front engine strip down but it was clear where the oil was coming from. The outer left hand exhaust cam seal was trickling from the lower part, it did not look a lot but had made a right mess. Its not the first time to see cam end seals leaking but this o…
