All fuses been checked and are fine so probably best to get it on the computer. A little oil leak that can suddenly become a gusher is no joke not least for your driveway but potentially dangerous for your engine, cam end seals are parts of the scheduled cambelt service but the impending oil gusher prompted the strip down in the pics below, noticed on a routine standard assessment the alternator and underside was awash with engine oil, stripping down to cam end seal point requires a fair bit of front engine strip down but it was clear where the oil was coming from. The outer left hand exhaust cam seal was trickling from the lower part, it did not look a lot but had made a right mess. Its not the first time to see cam end seals leaking but this o…

Im not after a all singing all dancing one which requires an university degree to operate. Plus i aint got that sort of cash. IM after a good value for money one that can have a setting for high boost, standard boost and possibly a setting with no boost? (for economy) I dont want a LIDIL's Special 99p one thats made out of cheese and an old pokemon either. So i supose i middle of the rangeish. Also- my car is almost standard, just an exhaust, so would i need to mess about with the ecu or can the car handle, for instance 350HP without any other Mods? The car is more than quick enough now anyway. but just after that little bit more poke just to…

Went to look at a Z last night which would have fitted well in my project plans and was a good price as the owner was moving away. It was over 200 miles away and the only thing I didnt know about was if there was any rust, so all I could have done was ask repeatedly over the phone and email if there was any rust. The answer every time was just over right rear arch and he emphasised that it was a very little bit. Other than that its very good condition and viewing highly recommended. Armed with that info me and the mrs set off in her polo for an 8 hour round trip. When I got there yeah, the Z looked and sounded nice but the first place I went was the right rear a…

I need some advice on prop shafts please. I am looking to uprate to a single peice shaft, at the same time as changing the rear subframe to an NA version (complete including NA diff) on my SWB TT Manual (converted from auto) So, a two part question really: a)which material should i choose - Steel, ally, or carbon? I will be uprating the engine power in due course so it needs to take a fair amount of torque. b) Where can i get one?! Thanks guys

I called a couple of auto shops for paint today. I need Silver Ice Metallic KL0. One said it would have to be mixed but didn't want the code until I ordered. The second said they had KL0, but it was called something else (I forget what now, think it was Star Silver). I said 1992 (its actually 1993 K Reg but my brain wasn't working), he said yeah from 92 onwards! I said I'm going to come by get and can and test the match but then discovered I'd lost by debit card... I'll go by tomorrow and get some, but I started to wonder if its called something else in the UK? Seems to be Silver Ice Met in the US. How can the same Nissan paint code have two different …

Finding a Nissan 300ZX convertible is not necessarily an amazing eBay occurrence. Finding the 1991 300ZX folding hardtop convertible concept car, however, is quite a big deal. Nissan sold the Z32, or second generation 300ZX, in the United States from 1990 to 1996. In 1993, the automaker launched a convertible version to go along with existing t-top and hardtop variants. This came in response to aftermarket companies offering convertible conversions. Before the 1993 convertible came out, Nissan produced a concept version that was shown at the 1992 Paris, Geneva and Detroit auto shows. And while the production car utilized soft-tops, however this concept featured a pow…

When I bought my Zed I was led to believe it had a straight cut box, so I went looking through the receipts and came across this - Now is it me or does this look like the most unconvincing receipt ever :/ Looks made up to me  The box does whine 1st-4th like a straight cut box and then quiet down in 5th tho!
