In the wet weather before the heavy snow the zed started hesitating and was low on power, i had just got a van for nowt off a mate and with all the people getting wet air-filters i just put it down to that and took it off the road for the winter, this afternoon i put a battery back on and fired it up, after pulling away i noticed the total lack of power again and turned back around, back home i pulled the nose panel off and checked the air filter, it was bone dry, checked the maf connection and terminals, all fine, and to eliminate the air filter from the list of possible problems i drove it up the street with the air filter off, still no power and holding back. So..…

I'm sure I'm not the only one that struggles getting them back on. :pinch: Is there a technique to doing it? I can never seem to get it hooked over the top at the front and the back at the same time until I start getting pissed off with it and violent lol... but I may benefit from knowing the trick of the trade. Its one of my most hated Z jobs even after owning 6 of them! Need to refit my passenger side door card tomorrow morning before jetting off to zedworld.

The electric windows seem to be a rather sore point on my zed - the previous owner had issues for ages with them. I was told that an auto electrician checked the amp and that was ok, but the drivers switch itself was shorting so it kept blowing amps. I changed the drivers switch and still no joy, but today when I was at shell, the mrs opened the window to speak to me... so the passenger window went down, but now wont go up!! I've tried the passenger switch off my breaker but still no joy. At the mo the passenger window is wide open and the weather is looking sh!t!!! any ideas?!?! HEEEEEELLLLLPPPPPP :pinch:

My car should be ready by the middle of next week and since I'm kinda hoping it's going to be quick I've decided to give it a shake down at Silverstone new GP circuit on Saturday 12th :) I haven't got my wheels yet so keeping fingers crossed my new wheels will be here but one way or another the slicktop will be at the track. So if any of you guys fancy a run around the circuit seeing how you fare against the likes of radicals and various other proper race cars it would be great to see you. Here's the chance to see if your big horsepower car can cut it at the track so I'm hoping I won't be on my own flying the zed flag :devil2: I will of course have the best l…

Hi all. Any help please. I have a misfiring problem with the Z, starts fine, runs on all 6 for about 2 minutes, then half a mile down the road goes lumpy and runs on 5. About 2 miles later runs on 6 again. Up to 0.4 bar boost it pulls ok, anything more and it starts juddering violently, no pull at all. Revs freely at stand still across the band, fine. Have cleaned the PTU connectors (and all others I could see) one was green, and it did seem a little better after that. PTU is a series 1, relocated behind passenger headlamp. Any advice appreciated, cheers :)

As has been mentioned in another thread already quite recently, just wanted to say I too have noticed a quite noticeable return of the club spirit! Just wanted to say thanks to a few people for their generosity in both advice over the forum and in helping out with bits and pieces needed for the Zed, etc!! Don't have enough time (or memory I'm afraid!) to name all those I need to thank but just over the last few weeks/month the following have been a great help to me!! Hopefully I'll see a few of you again before too long and the others, hopefully I'll get to meet you! pmf300zx silverbullet securicar MantaV8 MeisterR ZX-TT Groover Slick Pete J…

Hi all, Have fiited an after market water temperature gauge and wired in illumination. Now need to do the sender bit. The thread of the sender is 1/8 NPT. I'm guessing the block thread is 1/8 BSP or 1/8 BSPT? Can anyone confirm what it actually is please? I want to keep my existing water temp sender so wish to tee piece out of the block to both gauge senders.
